>airsoft AUG shell, or actual Steyr AUG aftermarket stock
>some retrofitting
>hacksaw blades for transfer bars (essentially just strong strips of steel)
>miscellaneous small parts

Literally about to do it with my SKS. If the cheap airshit shell works well I'll consider getting a real AUG shell. If not I'll only be out like $50-100. The hardest part seems like it'll be retrofitting top rails onto the thing. Then again they must make railed gas tubes for the SKS...
