Wehrmacht Weapons/Equipment

Got any cool Wehrmacht stuff? Guns, knives, uniforms, field equipment, etc. if you have it, post it!

Nice! Why not yours yet? Waiting to buy, or part of an inheritance collection?

That's a pretty p.38, I really want one. And yes, it's my stepfather's gun, and the last of his father's gun. He's told me it's going to me when he's gone, but I'm not going to rush him to give it up earlier.

Thanks. Came out of my grandfather’s collection. He is strictly a collector, not a shooter. So this is most likely in the same condition as it was at the end of WW2.

He’s got a beautiful SVT-40 that he “wants to hold on to a little longer,” so I can understand the whole “it’s not mine, yet” thing.

Holster that came with the P.38

I have a nice uniform of the Panzertruppe

Attached: DT0_1097.jpg (2681x4554, 1.73M)

Sweet! I’ve always wanted to get a hold of some uniforms. Mainly Wehrmacht camo, but still.

Any original WWII German camouflage will cost you a pretty penny, even for a set of winter gloves or helmet cover.

No doubt! This hobby of militaria/guns/Jow Forumsshit isn’t a cheap one.

I have two items bearing Nazi proof marks but I don't share them because I only bought them for reasons other than the Nazi manufacture and fuck Nazi's.

Attached: DT0_1095.jpg (2878x4358, 1.65M)

I can understand that. I didn’t get my P.38, or my other Nazi-marked rifle, because of the markings. That’s why I labeled the thread “Wehrmacht,” to try and keep out the Jow Forums stuff.

Call it what it is, a waffennampt.

True. Prices for some Luftwaffe and SS camos are insane

Fuck off Nazi shitheads go back to pol

You’re late; I was expecting you to be the first reply.

The smocks are the best, imo. I wouldn’t mind shelling out the money for either of those.

Why do americans have such a hard on for germans?

They make really nice guns and cars.

Thank you. Someone that isn't a Jow Forums cunt

I wish they won :(

Not German but close.

Oh stfu , guns and ww2 germany go together as hobbies and interests.

Did you build it yourself?

Is it an MG-42 of another origin? Or is it an MG-3?

Yes
M53, Yugo Mg42 clone.

OK, and lets also use konzentrationslager cuz that sounds less genocidey.

Got a couple things :)

I have a couple of Wehrmacht camo tent halves, a Gebirgsjager backpack, some other Wh backpacks, a Kriegsmarine greatcoat, some helmet shells - no good pics of most of it yet. Working my way through the collection with a camera now though. Here's the Gj backpack.

Is there a reason to get a P38 over a late P1 with the reinforcement bolt other than historical value? I love the appearance and the mechanics but don't want to pay out the wazoo for the 'muh not-zee his'try' tax.

WEHRABOO

Picked it up yesterday from cabelas for $750 it’s a rc p38 Spreewerk manufacture. Thought it go nicely with my c96. How did I do?

Picked up a P1 and HSc at a gun show yesterday. Thoughts?

Gotta love a nice Mauser! I have a post-war Czech “Frankenstein” Kar98k. They were produced with leftover parts from different manufacturers. My magazine-floor plate is the only part on it from byf.

So I got what appears to be a stalhelm, it has no liner and a few .22 impacts but I think I'm going to try to restore it

Attached: helm1.jpg (1600x900, 147K)

Remember to be gentle with it!
I’ve fucked up a couple of things trying to remove dents

It seems like it would come down to personal preference. If “durability” is a major factor for you, P38s are steel-framed and P1s are aluminum-framed. Other than that, and Nazi markings, I really don’t think there that much of a difference.

Cool Bike seat man! You just took it off your vintage unicycle because you prefer to ride without it right?

Also I need some help identifying it and shit, so pls help

Attached: helm2.jpg (1600x900, 127K)

I'm not removing them because I'm certain I will break it

How much? What do you think of them? Have a P38 to compare? I want P1 because I’m too cheap to buy a P38.

Both the P38 and the P1 have similar durability problems. The design itself is shit.

The German Army required their new pistol design to have an exposed barrel, because the Luger had one. This required having a fat slide to put recoil springs along the sides of the slide instead of in front like nearly every pistol.

The open slide design means that the locking block has to be in the slide, which makes the slide thin. This makes the slide susceptible to stretching and eventually breaking. Beretta 92s also have this problem, just no where near as bad.

The sheet metal cover on the top of the slide can blow off, and with it out comes the firing pin, loaded chamber indicator, rear sight and all the springs.

The worst is the decocker. Unlike the PP, the P38 doesn't have a physical block between the hammer and firing pin. The decocker just holds the firing pin. If you use the decocker enough the gun will fire and since the decocker is engaged it will drop the hammer every time the slide goes into battery which means the gun will continue firing until it the magazine is empty.

I suddenly don’t want one as much.

Thanks for the info.

Holy shit bro how much did those run you?

Lets see a pic

Attached: IMG_4240.jpg (265x225, 17K)

Thanks for the knowledge!

I still want one 'cause it makes my dick hard.

Nice reproduction where did you buy it?

It looks to be a WW1 stalhelm to me, by the dimensions and the big grommet rivet things on the sides.

$10
Found at a garage sale

Havent shot them yet. 580 for the P1 which is consistent with gunbroker and i don't have to pay shipping/FFL as a bonus.

625 for the HSc. Don't know much about this.

Well, it looks like it yes. Do you know how expensive are repro lineres for these?
Also how do I restore it

I have a soft spot for HSc's, I've had four of them now. Here is my wartime HSc, made in 1944.

Yeah that’s an M16 helmet from wwi

I know the dagger don’t fit in the topic but I still included it. Also have a navel dagger.
