Objectively? Polymer MBUS.

BUIS have been debunked and are a bigger negative than positive. Have you seen the WWSD series?

>he uses an optic

Since when are BUIS "debunked?" Also why would I trust 2 people on a youtube channel who have never been in combat?

underrated

Just don't mount them on a railed gas block. I personally have had good experience with the Magpul MBUS Pros.

How many bong hits did you take before typing that?

I have Aero Precision rear back up sight on a rifle with FSB. Its a notch above airsoft. I have Magpul gen2 plastic sights. Fantastic sights. My only complaint is that its plastic. And their is no smaller peep sight. Only CQB sight. The Aero has both. Im currently looking at daniel defense fixed rear sight. That or cut up a colt carry handle for the rear sight only.
If money wasnt a concern? LMT fixed rear sight.

Faggot

but serious though, when is the last time someone on here has ever used their BUIS?
im not opposed to having them but im genuinely curious.

Who the fuck cares? BUIS are part of a well rounded rifle and I would rather have them and not need them then have a useless gun with a broken optic if the SHTF

Are these over priced/over hyped or worth the money?

Ugly, blocky and fucking polymer, into the trash it goes

None. With an ACOG you don't need no stinking backup sights.

>lightweight
>most robust
>least expensive
Okay. You do you, guccifag.

Waste of money, imo. Tritium has a shelf life. Do you do alot of low light shooting through iron sights?
On a pistol I see why you would need them

Knights Armament are probably the nicest, but they are pricey. Mbus pro is like a budget version of the Kac.

Was that polymer or metal mbus? I assume polymer?

They were my first, sold them to a redditor, where that sort of shit taste is more fitting

I have the HK style front version, they work fine cowitnessed with an aimpoint. They came with a rifle I got a deal on, I probably would’ve just bought MBUS if I had built it.

Massively overpriced for what they are.

regular polymer version.

Damn I like those better than the Troy sights

The best BUIS is no BUIS. If your sight dies you're fucked either way.

Because mounts don’t break, amirite?

Only if you’re an opticfag who doesn’t understand the basic fundamentals of marksmanship.

You might be fucked, but I will just flip up my iron sights

Quality ones don't. With your line of thinking we should all be carrying spare buffer tubes and bolt carriers in our packs.

We already decided that buis are retarded. The perfect ar has a polymer lower, 14.5 barrel, and no BUIS.

yes they are good quality
yes they're overpriced
yes they do go half price a few times a year if you keep an eye on Primary Arms or AIM

nevermind, i didn't notice it was the tritium model. Yeah it's overpriced, look for the standard models to go on sale, i got a set for $100 last year.

A skeletonized polymer lower

I don’t need the tritium model so will keep an eye out, I want to get the same BUIS for all my rifles for consistency

The situation that causes a broken rail mount would probably be a situation that totally breaks your rifle or buis.

lmt or get the fuck out

No because dirt may get in. Drop the forward assist tho.

Yes, however I thankfully was able to realize that what a 3-gunner construes as an ideal "combat rifle" is really a rifle suited purely for 3-gun, and not for actual combat.

>If money wasnt a concern? LMT fixed rear sight.

You can regularly get them from Brownells for about $125 shipped with codes. Or less on Ebay occasionally.

Retard. How are you going to slap on thermals or nvg attachments. You’re wasting valuable weight and space with BUIS. If something happens that breaks your optic, you’re rifle has already been broken 10 times over

This

batteries

I can't tell if you're pretending to be retarded or not.

You missed the joke

All these retards ITT that have never watched inrange

>giving a fuck what neverserved satanist commie stoners think

>implying they haven't shot more guns and more variety of guns than you ever will in ten lifetimes
>implying some jackass in the military knows better

>And their is no smaller peep sight. Only CQB sight
Not this shit again. You realize that you can pull the sight hole in half and it'll give you a bigger aperture right?

No joke I've had my iron sights (FSB on service M4) busted twice but I've never had an ACOG break.

How do you bust a front sight block? I honestly figured that was about the sturdiest front sight money could buy.

I bought a griffon set and they feel well built and look nice.
I would never recommend them to anyone though because they have the worst mounting setup Ive ever seen and it put a hole through my mcmr with the help of retarded me. Fixed with adding a metal shim though.

How?

I have a qd mount lpvo sighted in for 75gr tap and my irons are sighted in for m193. Depending on what Im doing with the rifle (some form of killing things on private property typically) I use both often

Learning how to use iron sights is a waste of time when we have cheap optics that work all the time. I spend my time learning the physical fundamentals of marksmanship instead and can outshoot any of you oldfags during the 99.9999% of the time when my optics are working.
Literally doesn't happen unless you're a poor with a trash sight. I can outshoot you without shitty useless inaccurate pieces of plastic weighing me down and getting in the way.

The only place for BUIS is on a pistol where they're just for helping you get on target. I don't own any guns which don't have real optics.

What the fuck are you doing with your rifle, soldier? Turning rocks into smaller rocks? FFS how the hell do you break your iron sights?

The first time I was walking towards a truck on a road in the snow. For some reason I tried to kick my way through the snowbank on the side of the road but it had melted and refrozen and instead it completely stopped my foot, I tripped and fell and when I hit the ground, the FSB hit a rock on the road which bent one of the bunny ears so badly it obscured the front sight post.

The other time I had my rifle slung to climb a steep hill, the FSB caught on something -- I don't know what it was, a root or a rock -- and it bent the front sight post way out of alignment.

Post your AR right now retard

How is he going to post something he doesn't have?

>thickass piece of forged aluminum
>bending from a four foot drop impact and a bump
lying on Jow Forums is so fucking pathetic

Bullshit go fuck yourself.

One of my ARs has a FSB and an A3 carry handle. The other has a Primary Arms 3X Prism (not on a QD mount yet, I know I know, I'm saving up for it) and Magpul MBUS. The MBUS are nice, but the carry handle is aesthetic af.

>I mangled a hunk of forged steel just through sheer might after my FSB got caught up against something while I was climbing, I'm just that fucking jacked yo
Yeah nah you're a cunt

AR FSBs are steel, not aluminum, which makes this yarn even more retard tier fake.

God damnit you are a fucking retard.
I have an ACOG and I am still putting BUIS on my rifle. You nogunz just as good faggot

>I don't own any guns
Well yeah that went without saying.

I once smashed my oakley m frames in the hydrolic door in the back of the mrap once. did not break, did scratch though.

Imagine posting on a gun board without owning any guns

(me)
(me)

I don't own an AR because I live in cali and follow the spirit of the law (assault weapons ban) rather than the letter. I own a .22 which takes cheaper ammo, is easier to load the magazines for without hurting my fingers, has less recoil so I can shoot it longer, works just as good on a 100yd range, and isn't designed for killing people which I don't need to do because I don't live in the hood and SHTF is a larper meme.
My rifle comes standard with iron sights, which I removed because they just add extra weight.

Attached: iron_sights_are_for_larpers.jpg (913x3949, 1.12M)

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

I'm so happy right now.

You're the most cucked and retarded nigger on this board right now. You are truly dedicated to being a faggot, and I respect that.

Cut down a carry handle if you want one of those

Thinking about a fixed daniel defense front sight matched with a mbuis rear, would be looking thru a vortex crossfire, any real reason I would want to maintain a folding front sight?

Attached: 19-017-04013_01.jpg (2380x1587, 310K)

What rifle?

Eh, it's mostly preference. Do you want your sight picture more cluttered or less.

Depends how you like to shoot. I mostly use my RDS and rarely use the irons, and don't like having the front iron constantly in field of view. So I use flip up for both.

If you shoot the irons a lot, or don't mind it being in field of view, go for it. Some people like the aesthetic too. I'll admit a good fixed iron setup like DD or LMT is nice.

lmaoing at your life

You bring shame upon all CZ-512 owners.
Fuck you.

There's literally no reason to opt for fixed sights if you have full length rails and no FSB

>is easier to load the magazines for without hurting my fingers
o i am laffin

Word. In that case I'll stick with a flip front. I saw someone running a fixed front and thought it looked cool. But wasn't sure if there was some sort of definitive advantage.

Thank you for the chortle my train was delayed an hour and I was feeling kinda miffed.

Attached: 20190207_163700.jpg (3264x1836, 2.13M)

This is the kind of vocal and aggressive retard that gives advice here.

If you have a fixed front and it's not a standard FSB you're admitting to being a mouthbreather. I like the iconic look of a FSB which is why all five of my ARs have it but beyond that it's kinda senseless to do what you're thinking about doing.

Attached: 20190216_125337.jpg (3264x1836, 2.51M)

Wowzers...

And kys

That's what I figured, but i wanted to ask anyway, btw is there a pastebin for ARG I can read up on what uppers I should be looking at? I've been lurking for a bit, but what with the Giselle rails thing I've been hesitant to drop big bux on getting something to replace mypay. .

>What is the best set of flip up backup sights?
Better optics. Stop buying cheap chinese shit and you wont have to worry about backup bullshit.

Goddamn foneposting I meant my psa

>milsurp
>not a picture of milsurp
you had one job

>not having irons

I like the Troy rear with a DD fixed front sight. Looking at trying a MBUS pro.

Attached: SSIG-FBS-R0BT-00_00.jpg (2000x1333, 121K)

I like your build. Rail and barrel length?

Attached: you.jpg (466x379, 155K)

I don't disagree with you about FSB vs fixed, but my buddy showed me his AR pistol build and it honestly looked pretty cool with the DD fixed front sight.

Some people can only view things a certain way. Like what's the ultimate utility, or what's the ultimate value. These people have what's known as autism. Normal people understand things like aesthetic, personal preference, just liking things because you like it.

oh shit nigger leave that low IQ at the door

How are diamondhead sights for backups? I like the sight picture, but how well do they hold up over time? Is the build quality good?

Attached: diamondhead sights.jpg (500x386, 16K)

Mine are extremely solid, my personal favorite buis

and it holds zero well enough? How many rounds would you say you need to re zero them after?

Lmao, every pair of quality irons won't ever require you to rezero unless you replace your barrel or something

For when you want to be extra edgy.
