Do the people who own gun stores in your local area act like jews? I want to buy a gun online but no gun shop within a 75 mile radius of me will do an FFL for any firearm they have in stock. I do not want to pay nearly $600 for a S&W 2.0 compact when I can get one for $360 online.

Find an out of the home FFL. No pushy sales, no sub 75 IQ employees, no neofudds, better prices.

Use an FFL lookup to find a kitchen-table FFL near you. The guy I go to charges $20 total, and $10 for each additional gun

Third for finding a private guy. My dude is basically a 7 foot Dale Gribble and gets excited because I buy unusual stuff, instead of the generic glocks and ARs that usually come in

I use a home based FFL as well. It’s $20 and I’m in and out in a few minutes. Some gun stores around me charge similar rates to get foot traffic, but I’ve heard of areas like OP’s where they all work together to stifle online sales.

No. It's hell. Every gun store around me is $40, won't accept from individuals, have to wait a week after your gun gets to the shop to go get it because they're all lazy shits, and add the cost of shipping to the sales tax because fuck you.

One of my LGS charges $25 for standard transfers and $50 for NFAs. The other charges a flat 10% fee.

$100 transfer fee only shop in my area that isnt a big box store.

why not just get your own ffl?

>100
Are you shitting me? And I thought $40 was alot

Why are you incels so obsessed with jews

Based Mel Bernstein. I remember him from Long Island, NY. Visited his museum and shop in Colorado Springs. Best thing he ever did was leave NY, to pursue his ambition to do his own thing.

Looks like someone got lost from reddit

His range is pretty chill.
I wonder if he can hook me up with uncucked weird/uncommon mags. Most of the stores around me only stock really common stuff like AR and AK mags.

There is one gun store in my area that pretty much accepts all transfers. They have limited inventory themselves. They guys pretty much say it's free money for them, and they don't charge a nut. They actually said they don't need me to call ahead, just have it sent and they'll call me when it's checked in. They don't sit on it either. I usually get a call the same day it delivers.

> brownells.com/aspx/ffllocator/locator.aspx

Try Brownell's dealer locator. I've found that preferred dealers are usually transfer friendly, but I always call ahead to make sure.

Usually they know a lot better than I do about practical stuff, are extremely subtle, and probably got sick and tired of their job and hired someone else to work the counter.

Mel is fucking legit. I love to shoot at his range.

Only a couple FFLs in my area have higher transfer prices for stuff they have in stock, and everyone calls them out on it. Most others are $20-40. I have no idea where OP lives since I live in one of the most cucked states in the country and dealers are usually chill.

Around me the biggest problem I face is finding FFLs who take private shipments. And while I was looking for one of those I found another problem--fudds:
>Buy preban Mini-14GB (bayonet and flash hider) from private seller online
>Contact the FFL I occasionally use when I have a private purchase
>"Sure, no problem"
>Mini-14 is on its way
>Buy preban Uzi carbine from private seller online
>Call FFL back
>"Sure, no problem"
>Half hour later get a panicked phone call from FFL
>He's telling me they can't actually take the Uzi
>First quoting me state pistol laws, then state AWB laws, and the more I press the less sense he makes. Eventually just saying "we have to be careful."
>Go in to pick up Mini-14 when it arrives
>Two younger (40s) guys say they don't actually know the laws but it's not up to them anyway...
>This ancient crusty old coot comes out from behind the counter
>Starts telling me he knows better than to transfer guns like that
>Says people like me are just looking for trouble and the law will catch up to me one of these days
>Gives me the stinkeye all the way out the store

tl;dr: an FFL rejected a perfectly legal transfer because a gun was black and scary, while accepting a nice silver and wood gun that was literally covered by the same state assault weapons regulations

It's just a meme mate. Looks like you're new.

california

There’s a couple in my area I just dunno how I feel about shipping a gun to some fudds house and him not finger fucking/stealing it

Then again my LGS FFL is $40 so I might start

How are the prices at his store? I've shot there a few times but never actually paid much attention to what he was selling.
I know in some video he said he'd sell transferable MAC 10s but I never saw if that was real.

My lgs charges 25 for transfers, I've showed up right after my guns got delivered he didnt make me wait to check them in or anything, he doesnt care if you smoke in the store. Doesnt bullshit you in any way really. Only shitty thing is he does charge a little more than they're worth but if he likes you and/or you're a veteran or mil he'll knock a bunch off the price. Doubles as a surplus store with occasional really nice finds.

I wouldn't worry too much about it.

They certainly wouldn't keep their FFL very long if they were stealing from people. They are bound by all the same rules/laws as your LGS is.

Unlikely they are going to finger fuck you're standard run of the mill gun. They've probably had tons of them come through their hands already. It's not like you are buying some unicorn gun.

My dad does a lot of business with the local ffl by him so I just use them and pick up my funs when visiting him. $25 fee for transferring, dude doesn’t mind holding it for a few weeks if I can’t make it up right away, and let’s me know if anything I might like comes into the shop and what the price is.

My LGS charges 25 flat for transfers

I stopped using a local guy because he raised his price from $25 to $40 for transfers. He's closed shop since then.

thanks man, found something new i didn't know about.

No. I do my transfers at a local Ace Hardware. The owners are parents of some guys I went to school with. Lol I stole a pack of Winstons from the dad when I was a teenager.

If they have a home-based FFL, then it's really unlikely that they are FUDDs. fudds love going to gun stores even though they only buy like 3 guns in their entire life. They have no use for their own FFL.

The ATF stopped issuing licenses to home ffl

What are the advantages of knowing a kitchen FFL instead of a store?
I met a guy who has a kitchen FFL, and he's offered to get stuff for me. Does he get special prices on stuff or extra perks, or is it just the ability to ship things to and from your door and handle transfers?

Mine just doubles the transfer fee if it's an in stock firearm. It's not great but it's better than outright refusal.

It's highly unlikely that he will be able to compete price-wise with internet shops or even the LGS. Usually the benefit of a kitchen FFL is that their transfer fee is low compared to the LGS and they are willing to transfer at hours beyond the 9-5.

just get ffl 03 and wait 50 years.

Unless this is something that happened in the last few years, false. I got my 07 ffl with absolutely no drama two years ago and I'm a kitchen table.

I charge $20 for a transfer and if you use an ohio ccw so I don't have to sit on hold with nics I don't charge for multiple guns.

I don't finger fuck your guns, I have to unbox them to record serials in my book but I don't mess with it. If I want to shoot it I ask to do so when it gets picked up. I have a 100 yard range in the back yard. I call as soon as they arrive and you can pick up same day and try it out too.

Tldr give the local kitchen table a shot we're pretty cool.

Pros - usually cheaper for transfers, might be able to find one right down the street (assuming LGS is further away), won't pull a "we won't transfer in what we sell in the store", no waiting in line, no dealing with dickhead smug or retarded LGS employees

Cons - really only one I can think of is you usually have to set up an appt, rather than just coming into the LGS whenever it's open. If it's something they do on the side (that's how mine is) their availability might delay getting your gun a few days.

I have found my guy gives competitive prices to what I can find online. And even if it's slightly more, if I buy from him I don't have to pay a transfer. So it usually evens out.

Nah. The local guy by me is awesome. FFL does transfers and stuff, like $15, $5 for each additional gun. Has a website, can order new stuff direct from the site for less than the bigger gun store nearby, and just go pick it up. Doenst charge for the nics either.

Shoot Straight seems fine, but I've only bought blackpowder stuff from them.

This is factual, I get a slight break on prices but not even enough to bother marking up and trying to sell. You just get a clean, no bs transfer by appointment when convenient to you for a low fee. I only make about $4k/yr doing transfers. Someday my original parts donut steel will be ready for sale and I hope to make my money that way.

That's not true. They stopped issuing licenses to retards who told them that they were just getting a FFL to buy guns for themselves. As long as you give them business plan to potentially make money, they will license you. You have to know how to speak to them. "I plan on buying and selling collector's models that have rising prices.... etc".

>Doesn't charge for the nics either.

Are there places that actually do this? Like, in addition to the transfer fee they also charge a NICS fee?

That sounds like rip-off bullshit. I've transferred guns through probably 10 FFLs (LGS and home based) and never heard of a NICS fee.

NICS is 5 bucks, regardless of any FFL I've been to.

Highly advice you follow everyone's advice to find a home based FFL. Also look into pawn shops as most are FFLs.

>Look up this FFL and see ammo transfer fee: 20% of purchase price.
I'm almost convinced this is some fake website and it's all a joke

You city people and other californians live in literal hell on earth. IDK what keeps you from becoming domestic terrorists. I guess you've been completely domesticated. It blows my mind.

Haven't done any transfers through my lgs but he doesn't charge for ncis either. I didn't know anyone did

No, the owners of my LGS are pretty based. This is on their website.

Attached: Screenshot_20171012-130133.png (1080x1920, 413K)

Dealers who pull that shit on Gunbroker piss me off. NO SALES TO XXX STATES meanwhile everything they're selling is completely legal in those states, and I happen to live in one and need to buy some of the shit they're selling.

>pawn shops with FFLs
Transfers and pawning guns are usually the only reason they have one. My local shop is just $10.

I guess I'm fortunate that my LGS is a pretty cool FFL. $25 per gun, same-day pick-up, absolutely no hassle.

Then again, their inventory is pretty sparse. Glocks and Gucci Glocks, and a smattering of ARs and 10/22s.

Some guys have all the luck
>t. Also Californian

Leftypol trying to stir up racism to smear gun owners

He was sellin a fa thompson awhile back. Sadly seems to just sell a gorrilion ar15s

Jews are subhuman filth that need to be wiped out. Kill yourself kikeboy.

Same, super fucking irritating. Not all of us can just get up and leave everything behind to move states.

yes. so instead i take my business to a part time or kitchen table FFL. avoid the gunstores, find a dude who got an FFL to process deals for side cash

I use a pawn shop. Those smart fucks use an FFL and get fucktons of business through it.

but make sure you tell the gunshop why they didnt get a cent of your business the next time you stop in. i like to rub it in their face every time im there. ill tell them what i bought the month before and point out the hundreds they lose because of how greedy they are

>a wild plebbitor appears!

Attached: 1551183926220.jpg (125x125, 5K)

Exactly

they dont actually expect people to pay for that, they just put that shit down as their rates because they dont want that type of business. their loss for being idiots

do yourself a favor and leave cuckfornia

>yeah the guy should totally spend his time learning all about the shitty complicated intricacies of your retarded state laws!

Found the jew

you don't do that stop lying faggot

I hung out with him in his workshop, he was a really cool dude, gave my wife and I free coffee mugs.

Especially in the last six months half the states in the country have some kind of unique gun laws. But FFLs are lazy faggots. Some of the ones in my own state don't know what the laws are and just transfer gun models they personally own.

>call around to local gun stores
>little one full of hunting rifles run by the old guy asks 20, +10 for handgun on transfer
>bigger one with a massive handgun case is 30+10, never go there for transfer
>decide to check out their used stock one day
>find a first year USP9 with a low serial, condition is fantastic
>decide to buy it
>check the receipt afterwards
>they charged for the transfer
MFW

I just had a local shop do a transfer of two LEO trade-in Berettas from Classic. He charges $20 for one, but did both mine for $30. His ammo was overpriced and his gun selection was pretty small, so I threw him a bone by buying a hat.

That’s insane, what area is this?
Yes I too found a home ffl who put a nice tall sight on my pistol to cowitness the red dot, he is 2 minutes away basically across a cross street from me

When I ffl’d in Silicon Valley it was $150. They’re butthurt b/c it’s an online sale not theirs, also so busy they raise the price b/c they don’t want to deal with it then still lose cuz we all single males with cash to burn lol

Find a police supply shop and ask if they have an FFL. They tend to be way more accommodating about FFL transfers because they are serving "muh thin blue line."

There's one fucking home FFL in my county and it's some fat boomer who charges $60 transfer fees because the one gun shop will only sell in stock or order stuff for you.

Tried that. Used a pawn shop a couple times that was really good but they closed down. Closest home FFL is other side of the county almost 2 hours away.

I drive an hour and a half to an LGS that charges $30 for a transfer and will transfer anything you send there.

Their in-store prices are also in Bud's gun shop territory, so they only thing I ever transfer there are lowers while I have them order everything else for me. Their shelves are usually half-bare because they move inventory so fucking quickly but their website takes you straight to their wholesaler inventory so you just order and pick up.

They're based AF and totally worth the drive.

>FFL
>Stealing firearms
Lmao

You in SW Ohio?

it costs them nothing at all to run.

>land of the """free"""
>can't get guns delivered to your home

There's a guy in my town with a kitchen FFL who doesn't keep any stock but does $15 transfers. Pretty cool guy.

You can if you get certain liscences. You can get a curio and relic liscences and get anything 50 years old or older shipped right to your house. You can get a home FFL for anything else. Unfortunately, getting either liscence means you have to let ATF faggots go through your stuff every so often. IMO it's not worth it for that reason alone.

Last time I needed a drop a local pawn shop was happy to do it. Cost me $10

Shit, I go down to my local farm supply store and buy any ammo I need. They will even special order at no extra charge if I want something uncommon. Guess that is what living in an un-cucked state gets me.

>tfw my FFL guy was just an old dude running that shit out of his house after golf
Chill as heck.

Do you know how many background check hoops you gotta jump through to get an ffl anymore.

>dickhead smug or retarded LGS employees
Why is this the standard, either only these people apply or only these people are hired.

I use a local pawn shop. It's easy, free money to them and most I've found don't care.

atleast yours is cheap mine literally charges $70 for a single gun then $30 for each additional gun after that.

They can go through anyone's stuff at any time for no reason. Usually they only come every other license renewal and it's looking at the 4473's and bound book for errors. You have to try hard to really fuck up, it's usually just people not writing their full middle name or forgetting to answer question 10a.

God, the only good thing about being hazguns in Ausfalia is the universal $11.50 transfer fee.
