Does Jow Forums buy ammo online?
Buying in bulk
The price is usually better so yes
here in the peoples republic of california you cant ship cartridges your door. You can get all the parts to reload them but not anything ready made.

Who me buy 1000s of rounds of ammo at a whak? What are you, insane?
yea, the price is ALWAYS better than paying fucking markup and tax in the LGS.
Never buy ammo in your LGS
Yes exclusively. It’s getting hard to find dealers that don’t charge sales tax since South Dakota v. Wayfair but there are still a few, like Target sports USA.
>buying ammo in a gun store
>paying their bullshit markup
>paying tax lmao
When 1000 rounds of 115gr 9mm is only 16cpr or even sometimes as cheap as 15cpr and no store can even come close you know stores are going to die.
Sounds like the stuff I buy from Classic Firearms.
Targetsportsusa.com
I paid the same price for pic related at Wal-Mart last week and didn't pay shipping.
Hate to give them money, but it beats paying extra to wait for delivery.
where is the pic!
paid the same price for what?
Usually how I buy ammo. I can buy 500/1000 round cases for much, much cheaper than I can get locally and that will last me a few months. It's just better for my wallet.
I try to support small businesses by buying local, but I'm not going to get raped just to be a good guy.
What the fuck is wrong with gun stores? Why cant a SINGLE store figure out how to sell bulk ammo for only a little bit more than online? Surely slim margins are better than no margins...
No because California.
Because they're dumb fudd stores and want to make a profit off of other fudds.
OP's pic
no, because shipping is like 20$. I just wait for shit to go on sale at the store
after I finally decided to order online, and could ammo just dropped off at my house without saying a word or seeing anyone, yeah i only buy ammo online now. cheaper also.
That's a weird way of spelling ammoseek
I wouldn't use that shit if someone gave it to me for free.
But if you don't live in a cucked state and still buy ammo in stores you're a retard.
>California
Is this a new rule?
>here in the peoples republic of california
Sup Paco. And fuck you.
Picked up 2000 rounds of 9mm CCI/Speer for 13 cpr over the last month with the rebates. Feels good.
Since January, in-store sales only or have online ammo delivered to someone with an ammo license i.e. FFLs
Come July, they will run a background check on you and charge a mandatory tax if you buy any amount of ammo in stores
I've been stocking up on reloading components now.
I shop for ammo exclusively at SGammo.
Unfortunately in my gay ass state (Utah), they put in a sales tax for every online purchase starting Jan. 1, 2019. So I no longer benefit from online purchases when it comes to tax. Nevertheless, the price is still far below what I'd pay buying ammo from a LGS. Targetsportsusa . com is great.

Came here to post this
Armscor has the best bulk .22lr I can find online and in person, usually 3-4 cents per round including shipping. Theyre coated, hp, and supposed to be about 1300 fps.
also this
How is that even legal? Who collects the tax? I own a business and the notion of collection sales tax from a customer out of state seems ridiculous. I don't even know how I'd classify the income since I couldn't list it as federal tax or my state's tax.
NJ does the same thing here. Online purchases can be taxed by the state according to the supreme Court. Then again everything is taxed up the ass in NJ. It's nothing but high taxes, liberals and illegals here
I bought 900rds of sealed Aussie 5.56 F1A1 and 1000rds of Geco 9mm online just today.
Was anyone else browsing ammoseek today when Bud's Gun Shop had a accidental "sale" on 90rd boxes of LC M855 for like $24? It lasted only minutes until they fixed it, and I missed checkout by about 6 seconds.
Anyway, ammoseek, gun.deals, and wikiarms are the way to go to search for online ammo. The more saavy you are at using those searches, the better the prices you'll find. Rarely, though, brick and mortar stores will have better deals. For example, Walmart usually carries 150rd boxes of Winchester 9mm NATO for about $28, and Farm&Fleet was selling 200rds of Winchester .380 for about $30 last November due to a misprinted shelf label. I bought 800rds of .380, and I don't even own a .380. One of my LGS had 50rd LE boxes of 124gr Federal +P HST priced at $28 until they sold out (I only got 150rds and should have bought them out). Sometimes, when places like a neighborhood hardware store closes to make room for a pinko cafe or a gay activist teen spot, they'll have liquidation pricing on all sorts of ammo. I've seen things like new boxes of .35 Whelen hunting ammo or US made slugs going for $2 a box. Point is, always look at ammo prices everywhere.
lmao that's not a sale.
That's about 25 cents per round plus shipping. Really they're down by about $10 tops compared to regular price.
Not op but I interested in the subject. What's a good price for 9mm, 5.56/.223 and .308
Right, so find me some new LC M855 for $0.25/rd then.
Depends on the type and quality of the ammo you want to buy. Look it up on ammoseek to get a general idea.
Technically when people made online purchases and resided in another state that the business did not reside in they were meant to report and pay their own sales tax instead of the retailer doing it. No one fucking did it though so states are now forcing it.
Rural King is very competitive with common rounds.
I live in a state with that law. Really it only can be applied to big websites like Amazon or Wal-Mart and maybe Primary Arms and Brownells. Small websites though don't apply these things because they know a state can't enforce it on them nor do the state in question cares.
Well, not Thunderduds
I don't buy in bulk so much as I wait for clearance
After turkey season, the turkey shot at wally world plummets. You can get the 2 3/4" for $1.50 a box
>I wouldn't use that shit if someone gave it to me for free.
>and still buy ammo in stores you're a retard.
this guy gets it
Get this. Come July, we're gonna have even more restrictions. I don't care to see when each one kicks in but they include having all ammo behind a counter and having an employee hand it out, a mini background search each time you purchase ammo, fees for said background searches, stored information by the DOJ, a license to purchase ammo and only being able to buy ammo that can chamber in weapons you have registered with the DOJ. Good thing I buy bulk and ship it to my family in Arizona cause I'm not dealing with all that bullshit.
>california
But that's a misdemeanor user! You don't want to break the law, do you? Surely those Ag inspection sites on every freeway will actually be inspecting all vehicles for ammo, on top of their workload. Such as harassing truck drivers, acting as the quaga gestapo, and asking you if you have fruit. Surely they won't just continue to wave you through because they give 0 fucks.
