>AR10, .308 Winchester, 20" barrel
>G3, .308 Winchester, 18" barrel
Real sure about that?
Retard confused an AR10 for AR15
>9mm is the new .223
Underpowered and obsolete but still used en masse because of the vicious cycle of "Everybody uses it because it's so widely available and cheap, because everybody uses it"
?
Spoken like a real faggot who never kills anything but paper targets.
9mm is the new 22
10 is the new 9
What do you hunt with .223? Honest question.
You can easily take white tail with .223
Mostly 7.62x39 and .308.
custard bills is what I will be SMASHING
Deer, coyotes, skinwalkers, etc.
Odd, I've killed boar with my 995ts.
.22 is the new 5.56
*outranges you*
>pistol vs rifle calibers
A place for everything and everything in its place.
You hunt those calibers with .223? I mean, I guess you could, but I wouldn't hunt those calibers with anything less than 30-30.
9mm is a useful and practical round, .223 is obsolete and made for varmints. Please don't compare them.
>t. nohunts
It's iffy even using 5.56, if you use .223 you're a literal nigger who doesn't mind maiming a shitton of deer and letting them run away while your fat ass shrugs and waits for the next one.
>deer
Nope
>yotes
Yep
>skinwalkers
Fuck nope
I have the 4595 and a redball extended 20 round mag. It's a fun little thing!
>t. Fmj or varmint rounds for everything
A decent bullet (a premium bonded bullet either physically or chemically) out of a 223 will easily kill deer if you hit vitals. A 223 in the heart/ lungs beats a 300 win mag and a Texas heart shot.
Maybe you shouldn't take the quartering towards shot through the shoulder though. Wait/ stalk for a good broadside and it'll work fine.
atckshully, OP, [akshully guy.gif] the hight point carbine in 10mm is a pretty useful little tool
You dumbass fucking nohunt, white tail are easy to take down cleanly with .223, especially Does. My 11- year old brother took down a 10 point buck with a Savage .223 bolt action.
Also, my personal favorite round to use with white tail is .243 Winchester.
>white tail are easy to take down cleanly with .223, especially Does.
>even using 5.56
You outed yourself. You don't know anything about hunting ammunition a.d probably nothing about hunting.
Not all deer are the same, you fucking moron, also there's other options for 5.56mm but M855 and a 16" barrel.
Don't be such a fudd cocksucker, who sucks cock.
Well shit, I guess all the deer I've shot with .223 that dropped on the spot must not have gotten the memo.
It's a fun plinker. But 9mm is the new 22.
*outranges you*
They just died of embarrassment at seeing some faggot using a varmint round to hunt animals bigger than a pigmy nigger.
well they are both mediocre compared to 357/44mag and 308/7.62x51 or x54 or 270 or 300wm or 7mm or even 577 fucking snider in black powder rom the 1860s from or nearly anything other than the similarly shitty Russian equivalents like 7.62x39 so I guess you are right
do you wear a t-shirt with CUNT stencilled across the torso? you really should, get a 270 you dipshit
>But 9mm is the new 22.
both have the same effect on soft armour so fair comparison
>270
I didn't know they had computers for you to use at the old folks home
Ahh the holy trips
5.56/5.45 is freaking amazing for what it is. Someone hands you 16" carbine that weighs ~7lbs and tells you to run that bitch like some sort of pistol from hell. Failure to stop drills, suppressive fire, and pop up targets out to 4-500y, if you have the eyes and your drop down. Recoil? Nah fuck your bone on bone stance, square up on that shit if you want.
9mm never impresses me when I stare at those tiny rinky dink cartridges compared to a .357 mag or a 10mm/.45, but then I see a dash cam of 5'3" female deputy ending someone by mag dumping a mag through a car window with a fucking compact pulling ~.30ish splits and then I sort of come around.
>Amerimutts coping this hard
German engineering master race desu.
Hey guys
How loud is .223 compared to 9mm when chambers for carbines?
I'm debating on getting either one for HD, but I'm concerned for my ears
>just get electric ear pro!
I probably will, but I'll buy them after I get the carbine so there'll still be that time frame
Pic related is some user's ptr that I've been drolling over
>.243
This doesn't get enough love, I want it to get more common.
Stick with pistol calibres or shotguns for HD unless you live on land, don't be the dickhead that tags a neighbour through a wall.
> How loud is .223?
Up there with 12 guage.
>G3 outranging an AR-10
LMAO! On what fucking planet? Give me a single semi auto mag fed 308 gun that is more mechanically accurate than the AR-10.
Very loud. Get a can if you can.
Multiple times worse. ballpark numbers put unsupressed 9mm at around 161db and the .223 at around 167db out of a handgun and 16" rifle respectively. While i couldn't find any numbers for an SBR on the first couple pages of google it is NOTICEABLY louder than out of a 16" barrel and the concussion is noticeably worse. Decibels is a weird scale, a 3 decibel increase means a doubling of sound energy and approximately 10Db increase usually means about a doubling in perceived loudness, but this tells you nothing about the pitch and feel of the sound in person which matters nearly as much. At the end of the day you would really have to shoot both back to back to find out just how bad the difference is for you. FWIW at an indoor range my scorpion seems noticeably quieter in my hands than a .45 ACP handgun several lanes down, and a normal length AR in the same position would sound like a firecracker compared to me setting off snap pops.
>le over penetrating 5.56 meme
Don't listen to people who say this sort of thing. They're fake experts.
>AR-10
