Is it implied that rhodesian blacks were subservient to whites?
THIS IS THE STORY OF RHODESIA
A LAND BOTH FAIR AND GREAT
Rhodesia was destroyed by the UN, UK and the Commie loving Carter administration
Considering there were black officers able to order white soldiers around I'd say clearly not in the security forces. In the civilian realm, yes they were but things were slowly changing until liberal politicians screwed everything up for everyone.
ON THE ELEVENTH OF NOVEMBER
AN INDEPENDENT STATE
I'll always wonder what would have happened if Rhodesia had held out for literally two more years as the governments of the U.S. and U.K. switched to much more conservative leaders who were ardent anti-communists. Would Reagan and Thatcher have seen as use for them like they did South Africa? Could they have survived into the mid-90s?

By 1979 the Rhodesian military was in ruins, 85% of the country controlled by rebel forces, South Africa largely unwilling to support it much further, the economy was tanking and internationally it was seen as a colonial relic that was mostly remarkable for surviving that long.
>ZOG governments won't support Rhodesia because "muh colonialism bad"
>Almost every country in Africa gets a jewish Central Bank during the same time period
>Puppet brown people installed as leaders of the newly "free" countries who work for the (((banks)))
>Jews tell people colonialism doesn't exist anymore
>Israel was one of the few countries that traded with Rhodesia and sold them military equipment
Yes the jew plays both sides. They did that with South Africa too.
Have the rest of the (((western world))) isolate them and then the only one you can turn to is the (((trusting helpful))) israel
Would the Rhodesian's fireforce method work against the Taliban in Afghanistan?
This photo was illustrated in SOF magazine back in the 70s or 80s. I just remember staring at her for hours.
>billions of dollars couldn't do the job
>would poorfag tactics work?
Rhodesia lost and the US lost.
Do you have any links?
>the jews had the world isolate rhodesia to sell them weapons
Occam's Razor fail. Is it so hard to just admit Rhodesia got raped by wild untrained niggers?
this shit is bananas

I unironically want some Rhodie Brush Boxers and breifs.
I'm asking because from what I've read, those so-called "poorfag tactics" seemed to work extremely well given how few resources that they got on them to use against their enemies.

OBL is dead, the Taliban is a ghost of it's former self, Al Qaeda is similarly in shambles. We're currently occupying the entire country, have shared and absolute air superiority across the nations of Afghanistan and Iraq, and we are so good damn good at war in general, that the fuckers we kill are almost always pockets of religious extremists. That we constantly have to do mop-up operations in hot spots is the result of international pressure to let the host nations resolve the conflict. We won, and even if we left and pulled eeeeeeverything out of the middle east as a whole, you bet your candy ass we could retake the whole fucking thing all over again if a new threat to international security popped up. Like ISIS for example. Except they're even more thoroughly fucked than AQ or the Taliban. ISIS gets to worry about Russia fucking their asses, too. Simply because this is an unconventional form of warfare we've involved ourselves so thoroughly in, you can't say that we have lost. A victory in a war like Afghan or Iraq looks different than s ticker tape parade like what we saw at the end if WW2. Technically we even won Vietnam, from a military perspective. However, if the public doesn't support the military through the media, then the public opinion of the military in Metropolitan centers worsens (As it did in the last few wars we've fought), and our servicemen receive this negative opinion and equate it to loss.
Basically, the popular media are largely pussies who tell our boys and girls overseas that they suck and and can't win. Unfortunately, few media outlets want to seeing the other way for the sake of money. So everyone believes we've lost. We've reached stalemates (Korea), pulled out under social pressure(Vietnam), and waged successful unconventional wars (Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria to a lesser extent). But we haven't surrendered, nor have we been militarily out matched and beaten.
Should we just keep fighting and being world police for everyone once we've done these things? Hell no. But politicians like to stall shit so we're stuck until someone nuts up and does something to actually pull us out.
Until then, suck my star spangled cock.
Thanks, bro.
>so good damn good at war in general
>the fuckers we kill are almost always pockets of religious extremists
It's like claiming to take candy from a baby, except the baby fought back and kept the candy.
>Technically we even won Vietnam, from a military perspective
>let's just ignore all the claimed political objectives and focus on a fictional military perspective that ignores the blatant strategic blunders of the Pentagon and the total intelligence failure by every American agency involved in SE Asia
Nothing more pathetic than blaming politicians for military failures
THIS WAS MUCH AGAINST THE WISHES
OF CERTAIN GOVERNMENTS
>citation please?
Pic related, it's excellent academic book about Rhodesia which isn't just the usual rhodie memoir about how great of a country it was.
Sure thing, the taliban are definitly in shambles and we are winning this war, their collapse and surrender is imminent.
newfag cringe is still cringe
So you're willing to cite where in the book it mentions "By 1979 the Rhodesian military was in ruins, 85% of the country controlled by rebel forces, South Africa largely unwilling to support it much further, the economy was tanking and internationally it was seen as a colonial relic that was mostly remarkable for surviving that long." Not quote for quote, but you get my point.
By 1979 the government was planning to conscript blacks. Safe to say their military was fucked by then. The sorry state of the Rhodesian economy and Rhodesia's international status as a pariah by then is also self evident, in fact Ian Smith cites that reality in his memoirs on "The Great Betrayal", but his argument being a delusional defense of a supposedly stolen victory at the hands of the west.

>The government says that fewer than 200 persons a week are being killed overall. It does say the death toll has risen sharply, with almost as many killed in the first seven months of 1979 as in all of last year.
The Carnation Revolution really is what screwed Rhodesia in the end. Portugal had effectively won in both Angola and Mozambique militarily by 1974 and they allowed Rhodesia to ship in oil through their ports.
Yes, when you consider the fact that the rebels loved chopping civilians (both black and white) to pieces, the shooting down (and chopping to pieces of survivors) of two civilian aircraft and the refusal of some of the blacks to move into the safety of the protected villages, the death toll climbed. You cannot deny, however, that when the sides met in battle the outcome was always heavily in Rhodesia's favor. Wiki says 1,120 of the Rhodesian Security Forces died, they list 10,000+ dead guerrillas, which is a very low estimate considering that in the neighborhood of 3,000 were killed in 1979 alone.

I really wonder how things woulda went if we had let this guy run Zimbabwe-Rhodesia
Pictured: Bishop Abel
Had he been allowed to run the country in the early 70s before the rebels won the war it would be probably better off than it is now.
