I think you meant to post this on reddit, friend
easy mistake

>ak 47
Just buy both
AK can shoot M14 bullets because both are 7.62
Not all AKs are AK 47s. In fact, most AKs are not AK 47s. Anyways, ARs are more accurate from what I've heard. The cheapest AR I could find online was much cheaper than the cheapest AK I could find. Most AKs take 7.62x39 ammunition, while most ARs take 5.56 nato. 7.62 is cheaper than 5.56 nato. However, guns chambered for 5.56 nato can also fire .223 Remington, which is cheaper than 5.56 nato and around the price of 7.62x39. It seems you don't know too much about firearms, so I'd recommend you read up online and lurk this board for a while before buying anything.
I can tell you're a first kind of cool guy
I think you mean second cool.
Well idk anyone selling any AK-47’s but I do know some companies that produce AKM pattern rifles. However as for your question. The reason US citizens tend to enjoy AR’s is due to their relatively cheap price, availability of high quality parts and ammo, the insane aftermarket for attachments and furniture, and also the fact that in most cases AR’s tend to be extremely reliable. Far more so than budget AK pattern rifles for the same price. The reason some people own AK’s however is simply because it’s something different. They may not like having the same gun as everyone else and the contrarian in them tells them to be different. Also some will make an argument that the caliber is the reason, which to be fair there is definitely a massive change in ballistics from 5.56 to 7.62. Quick pro tip tho...
>Lurk Moar
Just get a AR15.
>ak 47
no such thing
AR's are more accurate, easier to replace parts on, more reliable, and lighter
AK's are aesthetic, very left friendly, and make cooler sounds.
Pick your poison.
Maybe you should consider just buying a black dildo to sit on.
Guys give him a break, its his first time on here and looking through the catalog he was confused by which containment thread to go into, so much so in fact he had to make this shitty thread out of his retardation. Call him a fag and continue on
Pro: Upper swaps. Really only good if you have a lot of money for multiple calibers or want to go from a 5.56mm rifle to a 22lr plinker to a .458 SOCOM to hammer some hogs.
There is also many more little options for AR parts, like there's probably a dozen different finishes available on the bolt carrier alone. You can build an AR and have every single part come from a different manufacturer, so your customization options are endless.
Cons: Once you get one you'll start putting money into it.
AK Pros: It's an AK. Big heavy bullets and a manual of arms so simple 3rd world kids use them. Also sounds better in my opinion, and was designed to eat steel cased ammo day in day out and not complain. Some, not all but some AR's are finnicky with steel case ammo.
Cons: 1. Finding a quality AK in the US is a bitch unless you want to shell out the money. WASR's are good rifles, if you can find them. Avoid Century like the plague unless it was only imported by them, anything manufactured by Century, the C39, the RAS-47, those are shit.
2. Steel case ammo. Can't shoot it at indoor ranges, and some AK's do not like brass 7.62x39 if you can find the stuff.
Also you're stuck with one caliber but if you bought an AK you don't give a shit about changing calibers.
>finding a quality ak in the us is a bitch unless you want to shell out the money
so its cheaper to buy an ar 15 then?
No you fucking furry. You can get AK for like $250.
AK47 is more powerful. AR15 is the civilian version of the M16 but you can convert any AR15 into M16 with full auto bolt. M16 is bad though because everybody in Vietnam would trade for M14 and AK47 because the M16 jams alot. AK isn't accurate and kickbacks too much without VFG (vertical for grip) and muzzle brake. You can get an SKS though for cheep my uncle bought his for 150 bucks and put on tactical stock to convert it to sniper AK47. And put on assualt banana clip but we can't buy them in Sacramento no more
Honestly yes. You'll spend a couple hundred more for an AK.
Post where then dumbshit
>you can convert any ar15 into m16 with full auto bolt
i asked this before on here, and i was told there was no legal way to convert an ar 15 to fully auto.i know they had bump stocks but they got banned
Lol, no. Where's this magical $250 AK, user? The cheapest WASR-10 I could find online was about $650, I think. Most were around $700. Dracos and M-92s are a bit cheaper, but still around $600 or more, from what I saw. If you find something cheaper, post the link. If I said anything inaccurate, please correct me.
>i asked this before on here, and i was told there was no legal way to convert an ar 15 to fully auto
The key word is legal. Also, bump stocks are still legal in some states, I think, but they're going to be banned soon. They're not very practical anyways, but I guess it's your money, so you can do whatever you want with it, if it makes you happy. Also, I'm not the dude you replied to, but I think out typing styles are different enough for that to be obvious.
Yes u can my uncle did it. You have to call Bushmaster and order it. You can only put it on single automatic because the police will take it if they hear it.
Fuddlore, the post.
>ARs
>more reliable
I'm assuming you mean US made AKs, otherwise I must assume you are retarded.
the AR is more reliable IF you have the following:
>lube available
>non-shit BCG
in a no-lube situation, the AK is SOMETIMES more reliable, but not even always
Hasn't heard of the Swift Link or its coat hanger counterpart
youtube.com
>cheap AR derivative
>5000 rounds without maintenance
AKs are more reliable
>swift link or its coat hanger counterpart
no,i havent.only thing ive heard of is bump stocks which are banned,i guess they have alternatives? because i dont see the point of "assault rifles"if they can only fire in semi auto
Take your own advice
I see you get all of your akm knowledge from the 1990s.
im assuming hes from california by his sacremento comment.so he probably pisses himself at the sight of an assault rifle anyway, just like the rest of the anti gun leftists in the west coast
Pros - you own an AR
Con - you don't own an an AK
Reverse can be said for owning an AK over an AR
wait does this mean I could put a 10.5 in. complete upper from a different manufacturer than my eagle arms 15 from armalite on my lower.
No my dad and my uncle used to be Marines and my uncle told me about AK47s and showed me his sniper SKS but I'm not allowed to talk to him after what he did last memorial day. My dad has a tactical maverick shotgun and a taurus .357 magnum but he won't let me shoot them. But I practice every day with my desert eagle airsoft until I shot the neighbors trailer because I couldn't unjam a BB and my finger slipped.
