Didn’t an illegal shop get busted not too long ago making clones of these that were better than the originals?
Maybe in Canada?
If someone would make one with good tolerances and quality metal I would but one.
Because you could achieve equally poor quality and performance with a Hi-Point and an extended magazine
These will sell like cracks.
Because they’re garbage and all the 80’s/90’s firearms nostalgia in the world wouldn’t be enough to make it worth buying one apart from using it for plinking.
>not realizing hi-points are extremely reliable.
I still personally wouldn’t own one, but if you did even a shred of research you’d realize how far off you are.
If HiPoint made a Tec clone, it would be pretty good.
It would be easy and especially if they had a 1/4x20 threaded grip for ar15 pistol grips and a top picatinny rail and priced around 300 it would be a winner.
>t. Hasn't shot a hipoint
Lmao they function better than most pistols on the market
Google Sol Invictus Arms.
U should send this idea to HiPoint
If anyone could do a Tec right and cheap, it would be them.
Because no one wants to endure all the lawsuits from these being the new cheap popular guns fueling the mexishit nigger Jamal jose gangbanger murders.
That being said, I've thought extensively about bringing an adaptable, cuck state friendly (at first *wink wink*), 80 percent friendly and cheap Tec9 style pistol that takes glock magazines which you can get 13 dollar 32 rounders for. Also with the AR pistol grip threaded mount, and easy caliber changes.

>Why won't anyone start making these again?
ALL THE OTHER KIDS WITH THEIR PUMPED UP KICKS
YOU BETTER RUN BETTER RUN
FASTER THAN MY GUN
Someone tried to, this was the result.
hi point has outstanding customer service. if your hunned dolla problem solvah doesnt work reliably, the factory will make it right
i shit you not
it, to me, though, is the harbor freight floor jack of pistols. mostly works all the time, but i wouldn't bet my life on it
thats the Sol Invictus Tac-9 Bro, comes in 9, 40, 10 and I think 357 Sig
>Because no one wants to endure all the lawsuits
the two largest costs of a product sold to the public are product liability insurance and transportation
It's big gay when it's a closed bolt
You could make an AWB compliant one that feeds from 5.56 surplus strippers. 10 rounds of 9mm fit on one perfectly, it could be a ghetto C96.
Of course California gets screwed because of the roster but hopefully the Supreme Court strikes it down.
They are too proud of their tube guns. For that price you can get alot nicer pseudo sub guns.
That is just a 9mm AR pistol
probably because they were gigantic pieces of shit
Because with new Green Deal regulations effecting rubber band production, there will be no efficient way to keep them together.
neat. Sauce?
I'd buy one if it came with a detachable holster/brace.
Call it a HiTec
Make it in 10mm
Because they were pieces of shit and only popular today because of movies and gangsters
shut up and take my money.jpg
I would buy the day it hit stores
The SOL Invictus TAC-9 is supposed to be a tec-9 reboot that takes Glock mags and can have an AR stock. I don't know if theyre just selling the lowers or complete firearms. If they made them take original Tec-9 mags or at least Colt AR9 pattern mags, I'd probably buy one to SBR for shits and gigs. A company called Kimmel made a clone in the 90s called the AP9, they usually sell for under $400 on Gunbroker.
There likely isnt a demand big enough to warrant restarting the line, considering the proliferation of PCCs we have now. There are just much better options, and the only market would be people like me who just want a Tec-9 to have a Tec-9. They're also kinda shitty guns. The trigger is the worst I've ever felt. It's curved strangely, breaks in a strange place, and is absurdly heavy. My finger is tired after one magazine. They are finicky with mags, and any deformation of the lips can cause tons of fuck ups. Mine came with 3 aftermarket mags, and the gun refused to cycle more than 5 rounds before jamming. I had to buy spendy factory mags, but now the gun has functioned flawlessly through several hundred rounds of that awful Winchester steel case.
For accuracy, see pic. Middle target is 7 yards. Top right target is 15 yards. For reference, I also practice with my carry gun, a Glock 26 (subcompact) at those ranges. At 15 yards, 75% of my shots with the G26 were inside the target. The trigger on the tec-9 is just so fucking bad that it is difficult to fire without moving the gun. Dry fire practice doesn't alleviate this.
Making a blowback 10mm would require quite a large bolt.
I wish the CZ scorpion was offered in 10mm, but it’s bolt is already fairly large just for 9mm
So? Could they do it?
Not without making the whole gun much larger. Plus more reciprocating mass means more recoil. Would probably be unusable in full auto, and not worth it to make just a semi-only.
Could also have a .45 aarp model using Mauser strippers. Make it a wood stocked carbine and I'd be on board
You're not supposed to bet your life on a floor jack; the jack is just to get the car up on the jack stands.
Wood brace that doubles as a holster?
Yes. Where do I send money
Looks like an AB-10
It's a crap design, and that's not even getting into the bad PR surrounding it.
and then it got used in a school shooting
Mil the bolt out and fill it with lead weights
correct, but I figure OP was asking about legal manufacturers
Why won't anyone start making these again?
what about duct tape?
I would much prefer this
Honestly not sure if Africa or Detroit
I don't think it matters at this point desu.
The absolute hero.
Not exactly the same but is this thing any good? At $350 I kinda wanna buy it just for fun
BETTER RUNFASTER THAN MY GUN
user, that’s too much of a nich market.
Plus, There are already hundreds of shotgun manufacturers.
I would buy it
That's not a shotgun though
why would they? what is the advantage over any modern wonder-9?
these are only remembered at all due to their infamy as 'the drive-by gun' in MSM depictions of the 90s nigger gang wars and for being one of the weapons used in the Columbine shooting. it's a novelty firearm with minimal demand.
busta
>rock blocks your path
So reliable. Zamak, after all, is such a strong material.
>shitty potmetal slide breaks after beating it with a rock
wow what a surprise
>he doesn't know
heckofashotgun.png
>an actually well made tec-9
I want to believe.
They majorly fucked up the aesthetics
>shoots hi-point with another firearm.
>still functions
Once more reiterating I don’t own a hi-point and I never would want to, but they are reliable guns. Take a Kimber and beat it to hell with a rock and I guarantee it’ll have issues too.
>shoot firearm directly down the barrel
>still works
nogunz newfag fgt here, why is the barrel full of hole?
Wouldn't it be a liability due to dirt/dust etc?
Barrel is fine, shroud is full of hole to keep barrel cool.
Why not directly remove the barrel?
t. genius
I bought a 995 carbine. It's lots of fun and reliable. Its like a 9mm 10/22
because your hand would inevitably be dangerously close to what can be a glowing hot piece of metal
Because ATF got butt-mad at the few manufacturers that were making semi-auto ones since they still thought they could be easily converted to F/A
and the import of Polish and Russian PPSh kits has pretty much come to a halt as of late.
Plus, as others have said, niche market.
