Question: do shorter barrels like on the scorpion micro give better performance for 9mm than longer barrels?
No but you also don’t lose performance as fast as you do with rifle calibers.
A 4” 5.56 is garbage compared to a 12”.
A 4” 9mm is only a little slower than a 12”.
Also with 9mm 16” is not as good as 15” or 17”. There isn’t much to be gained after 17”.
People like the short bbls also because it doesn’t let the round get as fast which is nice when using a can.
Whats a great starter P-Cal Carbine?
9x25 is literally the best PCC round sorry 9x19 cuck boys.
I'm kinda interested in those Glock PCC uppers
1. Any thoughts on them?
2. Are they NFA items?
3. Are they an accessory, or a separate firearm?
Curious poorfag here looking to purchase a long gun; semi-automatic PCCs look really fun to use, but is there a utilitarian purpose for me? Being able to feed it cheaply and share the ammo between concealed-carry and long gun would be cool as fuck if it served more of a purpose than a range toy, not that I necessarily disapprove that, but I don't think I can justify it.
My research is telling me that pistol ammo tends to reach reliably only out to ~50-100 yards, not to mention only meager gains from longer barrels on top of being said to be unreliable in terms of stopping power on game (deer, hogs, bears). So hunting is bust? Maybe home defense? But a long gun is less maneuverable than a hand gun indoors, right? Does the added stability make up for that?
Could just tell him it's about 200-250 fps faster on a carbine vs a pistol.
If you did 2 minutes of reading you would know already. Don’t be such a lazy black person.
They suck.
Why the fuck would a 16” bbl be NFA?
It’s just an upper retard.
>tfw waiting for UPS to deliver my goyimsbane.
You can shoot a rifle with lower cost per round less recoil and noise, as well as being able to shoot on pistol ranges if those are more convenient. Compared to a pistol they're more accurate and have better ballistics. Many are based on subguns so there's some history/cool factor. Do you actually need one? That's up to you. Is there a reason to get one for fighting purposes? Not really as long as .223 carbines are available.
Braced Glocc
Oh yeah, almost forgot. This Uzi has some wear on it from use, not NIB like many of them are. Should I go ahead and SBR this or would it be worth waiting to get a mint one before taking the plunge?
Get a "pistol" length pcc if you're worried about maneuverability. As stated above, longer barrels don't gain you much in terms of velocity. As far as game goes, look into a more powerful than 9mm handgun cartridge; should still reach it's potential out of a shorter barrel.
Vise will be here tomorrow so finally get to try polishing everything up, noticed that the slide has a really wear wear mark on it, like it's jump rubbing, which I need to look more into.
Well an extar ep9 is technically a pistol with a brace. $420 so you can get a sbr stamp and a suppressor stamp and still be under msrp for a scorpion. Takes glock mags.
whats the best cost to performance PCC on the market
I find myself curious about pistol “carbine,” and I’m a poorfag. I cant decide if I should get a CZ evo now or wait for the PSA MP5. Or keep saving for an MPX.
If you sbr a mint one, it's just going to loose it's collector's value if you engrave it and shoot it.
And the only reason to sbr it is if you plan on shooting it alot.
That one still looks to be in pretty good shape,
No reason NOT to sbr it.
.22 TCM says hi.
>same energy from PCC "braced pistol" length barrels, more energy from 16" non-NFA-carbine barrels
>scant fraction of the recoil
>higher velocity (2000fps from 5" barrel, 2200fps from 7" barrel, 2800fps from 22" barrel)
>less drop
>significantly cheaper
>more widely available ammo
>higher capacity for any given mag length
Well I'd engrave the short barrel and not the gun, but you have a point. Thanks.
I don't know what you call this. 85%?
>or wait for the PSA MP5
Gonna be a long wait friendo
>late Q3 or Q4 2019 release currently, unless they run into more issues

About the best image I can get on this, It's just pretty weird how uneven the wear is, it's like like smooth, it's really jumpy like it bounces a whole fucking lot and lands at different areas each time.
My dream is to make a revolver carbine like in Metro 2033.
Damn forgot pic.
Better shot with a different lens. This look normal for hi-point wear?
They're heavy and takedown is time-consuming, but they're fun to shoot. 7.5/10
Lotsa good options:
>Beretta CX4
>Ruger PC9
>CZ Scorpion Evo
>Hi-Point 995
new purchase
Anything that takes glock mags. I got a ruger pcc off armslist with 6x31 round mags for $500. Just find a deal and join the fun.
I bought this mainly for a action movies meme value and i'm not disappointed, it's fun to shoot and after zeroing it for 50 meters, it's not a problem to hit what I want. In comparison with UZI, vz61 is snappy as fuck.
Well I've found nothing about this online, From what I can tell the trigger assembly must be jumping along the breech bolt and bouncing along the way, Not sure if smoothing that out would last or not. If anyone has a 995ts and willing to tear it down to see if they have this wear on the breech I'd really appreciate it.
Nice. SBR or MG?
A lot of people say that ppc are obsolete. How true is it?
>recoil isn’t that much different
>can’t reload as easily/cheaply, projectile choice is trash. 9mm projectiles and 10MM brass are infinitely more available and reloading TCM is a painful process where lots of cases get destroyed - literally a worse version of 5.7 which people generally don’t bother with since it’s such a pain
>only like 2 factory loads
>mags might matter if there fucking were any lel. Only a couple and neither are extendos. Any mag that feeds 10MM can feed 9x25. 45 mags can as well with a pinch to the feed lips
>Much worse terminal ballistics
>only one company makes ammo and the next hurricane can destroy the only source
Yeah, no thanks.
Meant to quote
Category b firearm.
Eurofag here, different laws.
>recoil isn't that much different
.22TCM literally has less recoil than 115gr standard pressure 9x19, it's less than 1/3 the recoil of 9x25
>can't reload as easily.cheaply
False. It's cut-down .223 brass and there's literally hundreds of bullet choices starting at 9 cents each for jacketed. It also uses half the powder of 9x25.
>reloading TCM is a painful process where lots of cases get destroyed
It's an identical process to 9x25, although I do agree you squish a case here and there.
>only like 2 factory loads
But they're good, and cheap (~40cpr) compared to 9x25
>mags might matter if there fucking were any
Works out of any unmodified .40 or 10mm mag so....yeah no.
>much worse terminal ballistics
It's literally .22 Hornet that fits in a pistol, so yeah no. SIgnificantly better terminal performance than any 9x25 load.
Build an AR in a pistol caliber
>same energy
>greater velocity
Source?
theu are fake and gay
Ah. Is yours an open-bolt semi-auto? They sold some of those in Europe.
I’d love to see 22tcm9r Glock conversions catch on and ammo availability go up. I would definitely be interested in doing that.
CZ Scorpion Evo 3
1000 bucks new 7-800 used and you wont find a better more versatile shooting platform.
You're trash if you seriously bthi k this needs a general. We have a GA thread, an AR general, a general for QTDDTOT, and so on. This topic doesn't need it's own general. Just jump into an existing thread or hit up AR general. Jesus.
SAGE
*think, ** GQ
Completely untrue. These are the kinds of people who think anything that isn't their preferred ideal tool for a job is obsolete. That isn't what the word means. PCCs are still somewhat widely used for civilian defense, LE use, and even within most militaries around the world to some extent.
Faggot. PCCG, HGG, BRG, and SGG are the only generals that deserve to exist. AKG and ARG should have all of their regular posters banned and then be merged into intermediate caliber rifle general(ICRG).
It’s not true. Physically impossible.
40 grains @ 2000 = 355.221
90 grains @ 2000 = 799.224
Plus what the fuck gun are you going to use for 22TCM? A fucking ROCK ISLAND?? lol just KYS and save your rapist the trouble.
You forgot EDC you gay negro.
Also it’s /HG/ not /HGG/
Lol, holy SHEIẞE. You people are the reason this board is so terrible. In every way. Ugh.
who did your stippling? a chimp?
Ur mom lmao
literal cringe.
I’m torn. I really want a vityaz clone, and the KP9 seems to be a really awesome choice. However I also really want a krinkov, and the SLR104URs are slowly drying up. Idk what to do. I have a bunch of rifles and a bunch of PCCs so it wouldn’t be filling a void
id suck dick for a scorpion micro at this point desu
How often do Zenith batches usually come stateside?
He's probably using the advertised velocity/energy when used from the 22" boltgun
>40gr bullet at 2800fps=~800FPE
Which does compare favorably to 125gr 9x25 from a 5" barrel.
Still, not sure if trolling or just fucked up his reading comprehension.
Nice, how much did it cost you?
Just efiled my form 1 for mine today
Mahcinist here. Building a shop later this year when I have the shekels and I want to make my own Tec 9 clone that uses some surplus SMG mags. Anyone have any blueprints or just cool ideas?
Gonna wanna be careful with you're support arm. Would it be in any way possible to shield the flash from the cylinder gap without affecting functionality?
$1350 delivered. I had a bunch of chances to get cheaper ones I kept blowing so I probably got a little impatient.
Anyone have an experience with new Calicos? I really want one but I'm not sure if I should buy new or look for an older one.
>muh price to performance
Uhhh I don't know maybe stop being poor lmao
Where can I get some numbers on 7.62 x 39 with 8.3" barrel ?
Have you checked ballistic by the inch?
Probably Ballistics By The Inch.
Also not a pistol caliber.
Thought the Galil Ace Pistol might count , sorry about that
22tcm9r for a non RIA pistol
No problem. Did you find the site I referenced?
metro 2033
Ingame the rangers wear very thick welding gloves, more than enough to shield from the cylinder gap blast.
Yeah but that’s a much smaller, shittier caliber.
9x25 still the champ boys.
CZ Scorpion Evo
t. owns CZ Scorpion Evo and HK SP5k
Thanks to the vector user in the last thread, I ordered a pad so the vertical recoil from 10mm hotloads stop molesting my cheekbone.
My other cheapo pcc, shout out to TN Arms for making a poly glock lower that has lasted through 5000 9mm steel and brass so far.
Is there any point to a Vector in semi auto? Seems even more geared towards full auto than most of the PCCs out there.
Things like this make me think science has gone too far.
There's no point to the Vector, period.
>Hey I've got a brilliant idea, let's take the front-back recoil and add in a bunch of up-down recoil. Fuck accuracy!
Just picked this up, work at a fun store and a guy wanted to sell it. I knew I wanted it so I gave him a good deal.
I love it, the reset is a bit long but it works like a charm and is fun as hell.
Forgot the pic.
What is that and where can I get one???
Is a roni or micro roni
Noice. I don't know much about them, is the stock welded like that in a way you can fix or do you have to replace it after engraving the barrel?
What caliber cat is that? Mom has one like that and a black n white one.
Meowdy
9mm pure bred Maine Coon, 20lbs.
Scary Yellow 'salt banana with 12"x12" tiles for reference.
There's a Rogue division agent in your area
TUPPERWARE FOR EVERY BRONY
I SUMMON YOU, O GLOCKARONI
PLASTIC PARTS AND SHOULDERED BRACE
YOU'RE NO RIFLE, JUST A DISGRACE
GLOCKARONI TAN OR RONI BLACK
IGNORE WIFE'S MOANS, I'M IN MY SHED OUT BACK
PLAYING WITH MY RONI
To shoot bullets, like all PCCs
Wait is that the folding mag Glock or just a normal one
Yes, because there is an echo trigger for vectors and as memey as the super v recoil system is, it does a great job eliminating muzzle rise.
Poor bait
Uzi > mac-10 = mp5 > AR pcc > KRISS > mpx > hipoint > bullpup hipoint > scorpion pistol > scorpion carbine > roni
Nice I'm glad you went for it! You'll feel the difference immediately
Not going to lie Desu, but I would rather have these weapon threads shitting up the board, then threads about dick riding gun famous E-celebs, Werahboo " Would Germany have won..." Threads, or those goddanm chink and slavboo shilling threads.
Just do like the Circuit Judge, and have a metal plate that works as a blast shield on the side of the cylinder.
Why did you put the banana on a crudely ripped paper towel? Do you eat the peel? Is it not for eating but something more anal?
Anyone know if the ronis are worth a shit or if I should just get a hi point carbine?
