Sure, like what? Our first date was at an anime convention and we spent two years seeing each other by train like dorks. She was into science, history, and PC building.

I can only speak for the ones I dated, but they were intelligent, outgoing women who didn't take themselves seriously and had lots of interests/hobbies. They also were completely insane. All those things play into an interest in guns. Culturally speaking they're used to getting shit on by other countries, there's a large domestic firearms industry, and many of them use US military service as a path to citizenship, but the ones I dated were born in the US so I don't think that had a lot to to with it.

That wasn't a "date" exactly, so it took us another month to meet and then after that it was kind of "well shit I guess we're a couple." We did lots of odd stuff together so nothing really stands out as my favorite.

She never did actually shoot with me. We went to the range once but the noise freaked her out (undiagnosed but I'm sure she was slightly autistic) and she had to leave.

I don't think its that they can't make friends, they're just afraid of people not liking them. I've been in the same situation before and ultimately I realized that it was my weirdness and issues with not being able to deal with people not liking me in a reasonable matter.

What I was doing was basing my self-worth over how many laughs or people I could get to like me and it was a pretty unhealthy way of determining my value.
