Why are brit infantry inferior to american GIs?
Freedom genes in their blood
Okay, I gotta stop you there. Even as an American, I recognize those were not proper British military personnel. They were mercenaries.
those were SAS
Wikipedia says they were mercenaries. Multiple google searches also mention mercenaries in a sniper fight.
I'm tired of blatant shitposting trying to start countrywars and mods doing nothing
Hence their incompetence. You become a gun for hire, you get automatic nerf by life.
This movie is way too realistic.
No they weren’t. Perhaps former Royal Marines, but they were contractors.
the bongs speak terrible english
why doesnt that 50 cal level that mud hut?
Correct. Mercenaries can't compete with proper soldiers in ability.
They tried to take on the Irish army in Jadotville, they got powned.
Because movies are fantasy.
Potato here.
They were mostly mercenaries in command of militia. It's not a fair comparison.
Actually, the experiences of America in Iraq and and Qatar in Yemen would seem to indicate that mercenaries are actually quite shit compared to regular soldiers.
The only time they seem to have been effective is against African militias, but then I'd back a troop of boy scouts to beat African militias so that's not saying very much.
Thought in Iraq they would've been quite good due to most mercs being prior service but with more money
Turns out when you take UCMJ out of the equation, discipline goes to shit and skills along with it.
Modern mercs are all those NCOs who bitch and moan about how they don't need officers, and they know the job better than any rich university kid and they can run the whole show themselves etc. etc.
Then 6 months down the line in the private sector they're all going
>REEEEEEEEE WHY DOES NOTHING WORK!? WHY IS NOTHING GETTING DONE!?
All of these private groups who supply protection to various us government interests lean so heavily on the DoD you wouldn't believe it. It's such a massive con. It would be cheaper and more effective to detail a couple of squads of marines to all those tasks.
Stop getting your history from anti-white Netflix films.
The Irish suffered no casualties because the mercenaries weren't trying to kill them. Instead of simply surrendering, the UN globohomo troops decided to start massacring the initial force sent to capture them. After killing a few hundred Africans who just wanted independence from a distant, communist backed, government that didnt represent them, the Irish then surrendered when it became clear they would actually face a real fight.
Basically
> Irish are sent as UN stooges to provoke local government
>local government gives Irish a chance to surrender because their position is hopeless
>Irish kill all the people offering surrender
>Irish surrender as soon as it becomes clear that they're actually going to be attacked
>UN tries to wash it's hands of the incident by making it a "muh colonialism" issue (Even though they were the unwelcome foreign force) and ridiculously inflating the Congolese casualties
>Netflix spreads the same fake narrative to demonize white people and support UN intervention against "racists" (anyone who opposes globalism)
>G-GGO A-AWAY B-BBUTTERBAR
>[real shooting begins]
>NO SIR PLEASE DON'T LEAVE US
>Gets his history from Jow Forums anti-western russian propaganda
There had been multiple earlier confrontations between locals (including their hired mercenaries) and UN troops, none of which ended in bloodshed. The Irish didn't want to be embarassed so they killed a bunch of Africans for telling them leave, before bitching out on that and surrendering anyway.
The Irish are real heroes for helping the Congo turn into the shithole it is today
>prayer time
>tea time
... they're too busy doing other shit. No time to fight.
