I have had money to waste, it would be a why not

Hey look! I just posted about this on another thread!

if they're canadian or homosexual

>TMobile
Stopped reading there.

1. They live in a ban state
2. They want a semi-auto that won't freak out the normies

Canadians can own AR 15s

Because the state of Hawaii bans magazines over 10 rounds that can be used in a commercially sold pistol so the mini 14 with it's proprietary magazines aren't compatible with commercially sold AR pistols and therefore are legal and can be over 10 rounds. Fuck this state. Also a stainless steel mini 14 is better than a AR for the salty ocean air here.

Yeah, but you still get to live in Hawaii tho. That's way better than someone who lives in a ban state like Maryland.

they look cool imo

>Your AR must be featureless in order to take detachable box magazines in CA.
you guys also make fun of cuckfornia ARs

Attached: 1535735945930.jpg (650x886, 593K)

because ar retards get in a shit fit over them

Well I'm both, with a Mini 14, and also several ARs.

reminds me of the good old days on l4d2

Hawaii has it's incredibly restrictive things though. Gotta be 21 to get a gun, go through a permit and registration, no handgun magazines or magazines compatible with commercially sold pistols (including AR pistols), no NFA items whatsoever, basically no carrying unless you have connections, basically no castle doctrine, and the only place to shoot is a couple of shooting ranges.

The only good thing this state has over other states is no dumb AR laws like requiring a heavy barrel or having to mutilate the AR like they do in California. The plan is to get a M1A, Mini 14, GP100, 10/22 Takedown, and some kind of 12 gauge. Then I got all the bases covered to hunt anything, and don't have to comply with the 10 round magazine limit for now. Can't wait to get off island though.

They're over 65 or live in a cucked state.

Because I found someone selling an entirely unique homemade stock for one, and I had to have it. It's good quality wood, stained dark, and has a strange cut on the pistol grip, almost like it was a thumbhole stock that got polished down. I always have a boner for unique guns, and this seemed like an easy way to begin my collection. I can provide pics if anyone wants.

>the only place to shoot is a couple of shooting ranges.
>all the bases covered to hunt anything
So which is it? If you can hunt places, can’t you ahoot there too in the off season?

Yes, I’d like to see that.

AR-15s are classified as restricted firearms in Canada (both in name and design) and therefore can only be used at RCMP certified ranges and must be stored & transported in a more secure manner.

Mini14s are non-restricted and can be used to hunt, non-certified ranges, etc.

Different people different tastes. Ar vs mini14, why not have both?

Behold. Lighting doesn't do it justice; it's much redder under natural light. Still, I'm decently happy with it. Thinking about making some machined brass plugs to fill the empty parts.

Attached: Stock.jpg (1959x1469, 483K)

That looks like the factory stock someone carved down.

Why not? I am one of those guys that owns a couple ARs, so I do see it as a bit of a downgrade, but if I lived in a state with shit gun laws and thats all I could get, Id buy one for sure

>Remind me why the fuck anyone would buy a mini 14?

>Ban state
>Classic wood and metal aesthetic
>Fun Garand/M14 action
>It's not an AR
>Only $400-500 used
>Unlimited warranty
>A-Team memes if you get a stainless folder

why are canadians allowed to exist?
Let's just annex them and get it over with already.

oh so ARs are so much better huh? well can your AR do this and fire? if it cant do something so easy almost everyone else can why should i even bother.
>inb4 olympic arms
notice i said YOUR AR. like you olympic arms, yeah right

Attached: ARkiller.jpg (1152x864, 140K)

I really enjoy that

Plus the part where having a low profile rifle is better in case some normies stumble across you shooting tin cans in the woods. You look like a normal person with a mini 14- it's got a traditional long arm stock and doesn't scare normies. If normies see you with an M4gery with a quad rail handguard and a bunch of tacticool shit on it, you can bet those soccermom pieces of shit are gonna run away screaming and call 911, and they'll say somebody is practicing for a school shooting out in the woods. Do you really want to be the mall ninja that gets his ass SWATed and shot dead because some normies called the cops on you?

Dead Foot Arms makes an AR folding stock that allows you to fire the gun while it is folded

Police forces used to buy Mini-14s because they didn't want to appear threatening or militaristic. Of course law enforcement is all about intimidating people.

Honestly, the only reason I like it:

Because you aren't a broke boi getting a PSA freedom special and realize that pistol grips on rifles support the homosexual agenda.

Class.

>Why would anyone shop anywhere other than Walmart?

You now realize the AR is the Walmart of guns.

Because you're allowed to own more than one gun

I already have an AR so the logical step if I want another 5.56mm is to look at a different model. Mini-14 is cheap compared to other interesting guns and pretty attractive looking imo.

I live in Maryland and they are about to confiscate everyone’s AR-15’s. My options for a defensive/shtf rifle are
>mini14
>AR10
>Ishapore2A1
>sks

Out of those the mini is the best

Attached: 0E486C70-32F7-46CB-AFD9-C4F6C99D493C.jpg (868x1050, 134K)

A PSA special is still more accurate than a mini 14.

Yet you can buy a Mini-14 at Walmart but not an AR

Actual confiscation? Real shit?

calicucks

lol they go for the same price. I got my mini for $400 and built a cheap ass PSA for $400 and the PSA is wayyyy better than the shitty ass mini

Sounds like you should get a Carcano.

>why the fuck is every gun on the market an ar15 or polymer striker fired, god I fucking ar fags ruining the market and no one making anything different
>god why the fuck is the mini 14 more expensive, why doesn't it take ar mags and benefit from the massive wide scale production and ease of manufacture ar15 parts have instead, it should cost like $15 despite it being only made by a single manufacture using investment cast steel, more expensive materials and a more complicated action and manufacturing process causeit's ObJeCtIVeLy WoRsE
>b-but MUH CNC
there did I get bingo for these threads?

“Should” be. Tons of people take ARs out in the woods, to say nothing of the new wave of “totally not ARs” we got.

I’d like a Mini simply because they’re like my M14, but small and cute.

>Mini for $400
Yeah okay.

Attached: 1545613332945.jpg (464x503, 31K)

We previously were only allowed to have HBAR ar15s but this new bill which will pass in Maryland (all Democrats) has NO GRANDFATHER CLAUSE

marylandshallissue.org/jmain/legislation-tracker/170-major-attack-on-gun-owners-in-maryland

imagine complying

Why did you guys buy those HBARs?

Cause it's not a AR or AK, with simple mods it looks hella sweet.

Attached: Mini-14-223-a-team.jpg (720x480, 46K)

I never bought an HBAR precisely for this reason. So I’m currently on the fence between an overpriced mini14 or an AR10 build. I really like .223 much better than .308 so it’s hard :(

Attached: 78F6B14D-EADD-4F44-B159-F7E5AC4264CB.jpg (960x241, 12K)

>Be me
>Live in spurdoland
>Want mini 30
>Price is closer to 1700€
>Vepr is better for rifle that uses 50€ tard mags

Well if you didn't buy an AR because you thought they'd be banned and you knew you'd comply, then you shouldn't buy a Mini 14 either because you'd just hand it over too you fucking cuck.

Such a simple answer for the price. And yet so, so many people don't know it.

>implying you wouldn’t do the same
Real life isn’t the internet

>Reliable
>wood stock
>accurate
>comfy to shoot
>launches brass at mach 2 so you can annoy people
>ban proof
>low profile compared to an AR
Could ask the same about the guys who buy $1000+ milsurp bolt actions when much better rifles exist

Attached: ADC86640-AE8E-4BD3-89CD-059E3F676519.jpg (2050x1536, 563K)

>wood stock
>looks cool
>????

C O P E

Seriously don't bother with guns. You have no use for them anyway.

>Basing your choice of rifle on what traitors MIGHT try to ban.
I have not and would not my dude.

My wife wants to play WWII for me but Garand too big and powerful for her delicate frame

Attached: 83A49DA3-E35F-45AF-AB27-6C19B130EFF2.jpg (474x377, 47K)

Because a well made mini-14 will carry you through any le apocalypse meme scenario

womanlet

Soft Heart. They deserve fine wine and exquisite cheese.

can't forget the classic
>the raw materials only cost x so it should only cost 2 times the price of x

Sounds like you should by an AR while its still easy.

used to be able to get them for less than that, why is that shocking to you???

>he posts, wondering anxiously if his newest purchase is Jow Forums approved

Yeah thats what I paid. How is that hard to believe? Walmart was selling them a year or two ago for that price

Sorry you're underage and stupid as fuck but yes, they sold for that price. You should kill yourself

>not wanting to own all guns so you can brag on Jow Forums that you own all guns while eating noodles because no money because all guns

post your guns teenager

I do that. I'm happy with my decision

Unfortunately this

Are any of them C&R-able yet?

its still legal in virtually all jurisdictions

>He would give them up
>He isn't going to resist

I've gotten four off Gunbroker. Most expensive was a factory folder and that was only $500. Cheapest was $250.

Fun fact: Mini-14s sold for about $450 in 1982 while AR15s were about $725 and only a couple companies made them.

The oldest is from 1976 and those are the ones you can't get parts for.

Because maura healey is a fucking moron and the thought of getting a scar that has been irreversibly mutilated pains me and I don’t want jew bullpups

If you're into SCAR or Tavor money just get a preban AR for $1200.

Cuz Sage international Chassis are awesome

Hard to argue with those digits

Not everything has to be an AR. I don't know that I would own one but more power to anyone that wants to become more of a hasgun with them. I wouldn't say they're my thing, but honestly I wouldn't say that I'll never own one someday either.

Also you can make them full auto with a bootlace or a pop tab in the right place unlike an AR (not that you should of course since the NFA and Hughes amendment exist and we should all abide by the laws)

>non anodized aluminum lower
now this is just a shot in the dark, but Hunter is that you?

I flipped one of these recently and took it to the range for the week I had it. Just wasn't fun, I don't get the hype.

90% sure thats a factory stock someone messed with. Those "empty parts" are where stock reinforcement screws go. If you dont have any you should buy some.

M1 carbine for WWII cosplay in this scenario.

Advantage if you have friends/family that are noguns and would freak at the sight of an AR. Wooden stock Mini-14 stored w/ a 5-round mag in place looks like a fudd gun to someone unfamiliar with firearms.

>Lists 3 guns that are not as good as having an AR10
what the fuck dude

>Not getting an ar15 anyway

It takes a detachable magazine. Shit has been banned for that alone.

this

fix the carry handle or i'll scream

Because i inherited mine before it could be given over to the gun grabbers

Comfier in the cold, ya dingus

>only 400-500 used

woah so the cost of a new AR

Certain states, or they just feel like having one, not every gun must serve a definite purpose. I have an AR, and a Mini 30, I've contemplated buying a 14 later down the line just because, I do hate the pricing for what you get though, it's garbage honestly. You can buy a barebones mil-spec AR for like 400 bucks that will outclass the 800 dollar mini-14 in every category, and has more aftermarket shit and customization ability.

For shtf mini is the best out of that list because it shoots .223

The mini uses much higher quality materials than a $400 ar get the fuck outta here

Yet is somehow not as accurate. So yeah, sorry your a mini/ruger shill, but it's the truth.

are you retarded or what?

>I'm going to intentionally get into firefights with armed, hostile people just to loot ammo because I'm too poor to buy it
>I think I'm going to win those firefights with just a mini 14 and not enough money to buy ammo to even train with

yeah I think you're retarded
