I prefer metal but it is nice being able to walk into my LGS and grab a pmag for $10.

Short answer, get a couple of both.

Okay industries
Pmags m3

I have a few metal ones but I prefer hexmags love them things

T. Hexmag dealer

They're garbage tier at best

Neither. MFT polymags are the patrician choice.

Lol..ok buddy

I like PMags and the D&H metal mags with Magpul followers that PSA sells for $8 a pop occasionally.

dude's right, I know several people who settled for them back shortly after the 2012 scare when mags were a bitch to find, and they all said they had feeding problems that didn't exist with mil spec soda cans or pmags.

Maybe they're better these days, but ill just stick with what works

pmags justwerk.

They both work, but I prefer Pmags.

Hexmags are objectively the worst m4 mags on the market aside from generic noname ones. Absolutely nobody unrionically reccomends hexmags.
Not a single SF group or professional competitor uses hexmags. No LE department issues hexmags.

Lancer
Okay
PMAG
Pick any of those 3 and only from those three.

I prefer metal. They're thinner and smoother. They are easier to take out of pouches and don't bind doubled up in a pouch. That said, both work.

Both. Always buy bulk deals like 10 packs.

>using LE as a standard of firearms expertise when 70% are fucking mouthbreathing retards who can barely operate a glock without NDing into their buddy

also
>no LE dept issues hexmags
[x]

metal are also generally shorter than pmags but have the same capacity.

C prodocuts stainless mags.

Add NHMTG to that list and you are 100% correct.

>maybe if I nitpick one of his points I can ignore his other ones and he won't notice

NHMTG mags are made by Okay

Pmags are little more, but can be painted funny

GI mags are a little less, but a lot more used and aesthetic. Not to mention some guns can use GI mags while the pmags fails

If you ask me, get both, but I have more pmags since they’re new and not much more

This. I also have some Pmags but have had issues with them every now and then.

This, but I prefer metal.

Hexmags are literal garbage and only fucking retards use them. They're like the Mark of Cain for morons.

hexmag is dogshit, one came with my AR and I had fail to feeds constantly from the first 20 rounds. I couldn't drop the bolt onto the first round without it denting the neck of the cases, because the feed lips wouldn't let go of the damn round. everything else I've used works fine w/ no issues.

Yeah if you like it when your mag constantly rattles around in your magazine well and doesn’t fit properly

Post AR

how are ASC's stainless mags?

That only works in /arg/ retard. Post your hexmags so we can bully.

Okay industries and emags for me. If I buy some snowflake shit like an FS2000 then having cheap polymer mags to use in it will be nice.

Pmag for practice, metal for serious exercise/larp/duty use. Why? Metal feed lips. Pmags can take a lot of abuse but after a while will start to have trouble due to feed lip wear. Keep your special boolets in a metal mag on stand by.

T. Worked at a rental rage for 5+ years, MOST polymer mags started to have issues after 8~ months.

Maybe I have Pmag lemons, or maybe you don't shoot much, but I have had great experiences with my hexmags.

Lancers are the best mags out. M3 PMags are a close 2nd.

What kind of issues? I shoot about 3000-4000 rounds a year through Pmags. I have some milsurp aluminum mags as well. Never had a hiccup yet. But iv always worried about poly mags being shaved down slowly

Aluminum mags:
Don't fail when it gets cold
Can be fixed if they fall instead of cracking
Are significantly lighter
Are significantly shorter
And, most importantly,
Are way more aesthetic

>everybody recommending Lancer
>everybody shit talking metal mags
>shit talking hexmags
lel I remember a few years ago when you Gucci fags were debating whether Lancer was still kosher or not, even though the translucent mags were breaking under the pressure of being loaded with 30 rounds. Poorfags and their "just as good" talk is one thing, and the other side to that same coin is people insisting something is great just because it's a more expensive option.

i dont think anyone here is shitting on metal mags, as long as they have a decent follower.

>metal mags, as long as they have a decent follower.
Fair point. I'm just saying, just a few years ago Lancer mags were being shit talked (rightfully) because they were cracking for no reason, and now they are being touted as the best. Cost isn't quality and brand loyalty can cloud your vision.

Can we at least all agree that Thermolds are shit?

MFT is meh

Attached: 20181115_160729.jpg (4032x3024, 3.07M)

Had nothing but good experiences with my hexmags. Plus you can paint them yellow and larp like bee movie.

Feeding issues, on one of them whilst a customer was shooting a feed lip completely broke. While they were removing the mags it puked the remainder of the rounds on the ground.

Have an adult with an IQ over 80 help you load your mags if you're having trouble with tilting.

I prefer Brownells or Bushmaster. CDNN has them for $9.99. Buy now because this vacation isn't going to last forever.

I use troy battlemags for the range and gi or magpul for the bush.

ive heard that you cant leave PMAGS loaded since the pressure will eventually crack where the feed lips meet. however im sure that is fudlore

i have a few lancer mags
but i enjoy GI mags with the magpul anti-tilt followers

my nigga

I like both. I usualy get them as filler when i buy something off PSA. So i have like 50 pmags and tgere whatever cheap PSA metal ones are. Never had a problem.
Pmags are nice if your going with colors though

I have a thermmold mag for my AK. Its the only plastic mag i like with my AKs. I just wish i knew where to get more metal ones

My brother brought me back a box of 50 Okay brand metal magazines back from the military. they work well. Cant bitch since I got them for free. But truthfully both mags are good. Pmags work well for me

It's not that fartetched, since plastics creep much faster than metals. I doubt they would have overlooked them being loaded for years while designing them though.

I loaded a few pmags in July 2017 and will leave them like that for a few more years before trying to fire the ammo out of one. I only loaded them to 25 rounds each because I'm autistic, but so far they're showing no signs of cracking.

Yeah DH metals are great and you can get them for 6$ sometimes. Pmags are ok but the feed ramps will wear out or break someday sooner than a metal one would.

>buy from palmetto
>accidentally 30 pmags
they work pretty good, no issues yet

Came here to post this. I have about 20 of each, but I tend to hoard mags.

They’re also very cheap and so damn smooth with the follower. Say, do you know how well they work for 300 blackout or 458? Think really heavy bullets for both.

I've never had a magazine related issue for an AR, ever. I think just about everything on the market these days is good.

Compare it to my struggles with various pistol magazines and it's like night and day difference.
