the whole thing would essentially just be similar to the MBT-70 and Leopard 1A4 when it comes to armor usage, spaced armor. At least it'll give the thing buoyancy and plenty of places to smuggle shit past border guards.

The point is a weapon that can act as a low-pressure gun as well as a mortar by venting gas

Thats how it looks firing in automatic configuration. With a variable pressure valve and electric aiming you could shoot a whole burst and get simultaneous impact, or fire directly at relatively distant target one moment and just behind a nearby berm the next
