I like the compact design of these new AR-7s.

Are there any better options that fold just as well?

You don't really need something that folds, that will just reduce your accuracy. Get an anschutz 1710 or 1827, that's all you'll ever mean.

Hey, I'm interested in X concept, is there anything better than this specific product that fits in that category?
>X dumb, get Y.
Thanks for contributing man. Though OP should have given more information about his specific situation. Though as far as muh Anschutz, in reality, for most people using a .22, they're not going to be able to exploit the accuracy just due to buying generic cheap .22 ammo or just shooting offhand and being a mediocre shooter, plus the cost probaby isn't justified by whatever means OP has. Basically stop shilling your expensive .22, not that they're bad by any stretch of the imagination, there just for an extremely small subset of shooters, and you're out here shilling it to a guy that won't get more from it than a Ruger 10/22.

a 10/22 takedown would be a better gun, but not as small

Any time I hear about break-down 22's, I hear that they don't hold zero once you break them down, which is sort of the point of a survival rifle. I don't want to re-zero a rifle in a survival situation.

does it float?

FoldAR (I have not tried any of their uppers yet, for $900 they'll probably be medium tier quality.) The older variant of this was called the XAR Invicta from F&D Defense, MAC did a review on it. It holds zero, but if you get it hot, fold it, and then open it back up it'll lose accuracy temporarily. The only reason why I think you would do this is to open it up and make it easier to clean down the bore after every magazine, but this isn't a precision bolt action with tailored, sub .5 MOA handloads - I don't think you'll be doing that with this upper.

I just don't get the point, how is it better than just separating an upper and lower? At least if you break the upper and lower you can keep the chamber loaded

The Little Badger folds

450 to 500 dollars. It's a hair longer than the PC9 and features an integrated picatinny rail on the top and bottom of the barrel with m-lock supported on the left and right sides. This model feeds from Glock 17 mags and there are adapters available from the manufacturer that allow you to use Beretta, Ruger, and SW mags. MCARBO is currently developing a hinge-operated optics mount for the permanent attachment of a red dot while still maintaining the ability to fold. It fits neatly in a daybag or laptop bag.

I wish it could chamber .22 hornet.

I think that would only feature if the barrel separated from the receiver in that particular design.

What the fuck, man. Is it just a glock with a long tube on the front with a secret compartment in the back.

serious question, user. are you fifteen

I really like my AR7.
Everyone should have one.

My buddy has one, it’s a jammomatic unless you hold and squeeze it right.

My buddy has a Springfield Armory M6, it’s a little over-under with the top barrel being .22 Hornet and the bottom being .410.

Breaks in half with a single pin, and has slots under the cheek piece for extra ammo. Cool little gun, makes for a good backpacking rifle.

do want. was looking at one that seemed to be priced higher than usual on Armslist, turns out the owner had put some retarded rail system on it and destroyed the ability to collapse it down into the stock. this story has no bearing on your life i'm still just confused why people would buy that rifle and then try to tacticool it

I’m one.

I love that they put picatinny rail where the pistol grip should be. It is just asking for someone to make a picatinny rail pistol grip.

yeah they should call them foregrips or something

you may choose one.
and your penmanship is remarkable

When you fold this, with a 16" barrel, it's OAL is its barrel length. This is 10" shorter than 26" bullpup. A CZ Scorpion pistol is 16", OAL, without the stock. This is going to be a lot faster to deploy than trying to stick an upper on a lower. Much faster, much easier as the upper and lower are still together, and about 7" shorter than just taking the upper off.

Problem is that bit of rail on the little badger is some weird size and doesn't fit normal picrail things. People make custom grips though, this was 3d printed

simple. Mount the sights or optic on the barrel.

Did that with my 10/22 takedown and all is golden. Admittedly it was okay with receiver mounted sights as long as you were autistic about getting the barrel to the same tightness but I didn't wanna fuck with it. Now I have no trouble hitting 3in steel at 75m offhand, takedown and reassemble, and hitting another shot.

you can do better

Holy shit write a fucking book guy

that one doesn't fold, op faggot

post your guns, cancerbro

A Rossi 22/410 takedown is tad better, as it allows for 410 birdshots/slugs when 22lr is too light. I shot 45LC out of it too, though Rossi says this voids the warranty.
Another option is

... is DIY kit of 410 double barrel from Leinad/Cobray. Gives you that same warn feeling as when you complete a 80pct'er....

I had one. Those are utter shit, even if you can still track one down.
