RMR

>gets ratfucked instantly by rain

But what if you give it a superhydrophobic coating? Or will it fuck up the RMR and throw off the aim and clarity of the glass?

At least the iron sights still work.

True

it's such an unlikely scenario that going through that is a waste of time

Rain is such an unlikely scenario that preparing for rain is a waste of time? Are you fucking stupid

Rain is a myth, it only ever happens during sad TV scenes

What do you think are the chanches that you are going to see a threat in the rain, draw your weapon, and not be able to shoot him by simply pointing based off of muscle memory. In a situation where you couldn't switch to irons and would absolutely have to use the RMR to make the shot. You're the one that's fucking stupid

If you're pointing and shooting from "muscle memory", what's the point of having a fucking optic at all? You fucking idiot.

ask how i know you don't carry

You're the dumbest person on Jow Forums right now.

Lol you must be no gunz because you acknowledge the existence of non optimal weather conditions
Low iq faggots like you deserve a helicopter ride

>gets ratfucked instantly by rain
Not really, the droplet would need to fall right on the projector for this to happen. Which is unlikely, especially considering that a CCW sits in a holster most of the time.

And if it does happen, the iron sights still work.

But Murphy's Law still applies after the gun clears the holster.

If that's the case why bother with an RMR on a carry gun at all?

hahaha

It does, which is why I'm saying it's unlikely, not impossible. In any case, the iron sights would still be useable.

There are good reason to nor carry with a red dot (cost, bulk, they require a really good draw to see the dot instantly without any adjustments, etc.) but rain isn't one of them.

With that mindset you better not carry period since you're far more likely to injure yourself or a bystander with an accidental discharge than have a rain drop fall in the precise spot to obfuscate the emitter in the second or two between your draw and firing. This thread has the big gay.

Also when the shit did a reddit grade adjective like "ratfuck" worm its way into here? I swear I saw it used yesterday accompanied by the exact same pic in the OP and a post making the exact same stupid point.. Hmm...

But a hydrophobic coating would not hurt right?

>the rmr works perfectly for me in my indoor range!

I guess if you sit inside all day it's unlikely that you'd encounter weather
