*jams*
*jams*
The older milspec 1911's don't jam nearly as often as the custom 1911s.

*still winning wars*
I'm sorry when will either of those wars actually be won?
based
I always wondered why anyone would carry a big, heavy long gun when sidearms are known to be used in and win every conflict.
>Like a fat girl she'll eat anything
As someone with a fat wife, I can tell you for sure that fat women will NOT eat anything. Anything fried yeah probably, anything sweet yeah probably. Anything else is a gamble.
*unreliable*
>larger and boxier than a glock
>less capacity
im still jelly though
Why is that?
Tighter tolerances? Difference in manufacturing techniques? Cheaper parts? "They don't make them like they used to?"
yea every time. that´s why glock is the one
fake tho
*Not a soldiers gun Heh?*
Larger clearances.
just wider clearances. shit was made to such loose tolerances, almost everything was swappable between M1911s the way Glocks are today. No fitting.
I don't get it
Which 1911s on the market today are like this? I want one that literally rattles when you shake it. I don't care if it's inaccurate as long as it never malfunctions.
Rock Island ?
low capacity shit box.
get something better than a retarded 7 or 8 round magazine.
>t. Mr. High-speed l33t oper8r badass Mc Killingstein
Not all guns have to be the best and most efficient killing tool possibly devised by humans. You're allowed to have fun with old weapons.
My Ruger SR1911 has just a little rattle to it, I've never had jamming problems except for my literal first time shooting it when I limp wristed it.
Most of today's 1911s can be polished and smoothed out to the point that you're very unlikely to get malfunctions. Then you just shoot it 200-500 times after smoothing and polishing the contact points and it'll be just as reliable as any modern handgun.
Tight tolerances, full length guide rods
For those interested most jamming issues can be remedied by
>using high quality magazines
>ensuring proper extractor tension
>feedramp polishing
High capacity is a meme created and perpetrated low-practice idiots, taticool mall ninjas, and nogunz. 6-8 is plenty for a pistol, 15 is fine for a rifle. Most self defense combat is over after 1-2 shots anyway.

*double feeds if you look at it wrong*
Used to carry as my duty weapon
>Most self defense combat is over after 1-2 shots anyway.
Unless you're defending yourself against those in a uniform.
This is going to sound retarded, but then what is the benefit of such tolerances?
such tight* tolerances
op is a newbie, just let this kiddie shit die.....
He's making a joke about .45 ACP's travel speed.
Unreliable?!
lol
Do y’all still fuck
.45acp has a low muzzle velocity
Is this fake? The link doesn't work for me.
Even 1911’s with loose tolerances aren’t as reliable as pistols today. The degree of reliability that was considered acceptable ~70-100 years ago isn’t the same as today. That said if you choose to use a 1911 as a defensive weapon, it wouldn’t do you harm, just train to clear malfunctions.
Stop shooting hollow points through it, dumbass.
t. Low practice mallninja. Go get some range time, fatty.
kek
There are always special cases to take into account, personally in such a situation I'd want hi-cap a 12 guage with 3inch magnum slugs. Like a Vepr with a drum or something. I'm not saying we need to ban any mag size, I'm saying that the reason most people own hi-cap mags is because they can't hit shit.
Seconded. My gubment SR1911 sucks down anything I feed it, even my cast alloy hardball reloads. Has a decent rattle and shoots like a dream.
Not a soldier's gun
>"Even so, to see a sidearm...testament to the quality of the weapon and American manufacturing"
I don't doubt it happened but goddamn is that writing some China-tier State propaganda.
>firing pin snaps in half.
It happened to me.
More rounds = more chances to hit = more hits = more lethality
not hard to understand
They don't like hollowpoints though.
That isn't any fault of the 1911's
The PK is the real one to blame
Each one is enchanted to make the user a bullet magnet
You needs more chances to hit because you can't aim worth a shit. Get more range time, faggot.
Holy fug that cope. There is almost no downside to a modern gun with a normal capacity mag.
>y-you will never need a mag cap over 2!
>Rifles are fine with 15 round cuck mags because you never shoot more than two rounds!
>What is defending 2a against the gumma-ment
Might as well not even load more than two rounds under that logic because statistically you'll never need more than two.
In a 1911 (or maybe an earlier model) video gun Jesus said they fired something like 6000 rounds through one without a failure. While the tolerance for failures was much higher, it's not like it was impossible to make a gun Glock reliable back then.
Ew, smells like noguns in here.
Nothing wrong with HPs in a 1911, even my janky bargain bin flip model can do it.
>straight couples don't rim
UNRELIABLE!?
>winning wars with a pistol
stop this meme
Based
*quotes shakespeare and kills you like Macbeth*
manufactured consent is state media made thirsty for approval
Nope, Colt's QC and manufacturing always results in at least one RMA. They're only worth it for the meme AR lower now.
Auto Ordnance, RIA, Ruger, they all work as ok and rattly 1911s with not that high of a pricetag.
On the other hand very nice higher price 1911s tend to run quite reliably too, such as Dan Wesson.
You seem to lack the capacity to comprehen that not everybody is the same and some people may perfom better with certain tools, and some things that cannot be read in a manufacturers website, like how naturaly the gun points in your hands or how easy it's for you to shoot It fast and accurate, may justify choosing a gun that looking at a specification sheet could seem inferior.
But you would have to own and shoot guns to know that, or get out more and practice more elaborate drills outside your confort zone.
I have a RIA 10mm 1911 and it has never once jammed or malfunctioned in any way. Great gun.
*fires bullets backwards*
