AK Build Services

I've got a 1988 Izhevsk AK74 parts kit and all my 922(r) bullshit, but the barrel accessories are dimpled (rather than drilled and pinned). Long story short, I need an AK build service and I'm having trouble finding one. It seems like everyone with remotely reasonable prices has been complained about ad nauseam on every AK forum under the sun. Some do shotty finishing work, some do great work but will take 6 months to do a 1 week job and not return your emails, etc. Have any of you Jow Forumsommandos had an AK built and had a good experience doing it? If so, who did you send it to?

>922r
Retard.

This. But i would ask /akg/

if you send it off to a build service you would have to have your 922r shit. you're not building it, a registered ffl is, and ffls dont fuck with the atf

Two River Arms.

Check their FB for build photos.

>922(r)
I hope it's shit that's easily reversible.

Thanks

It's barrel, receiver (childers receiver; holes drilled here, blank stamped at Radom in Poland), pistol grip, trigger, hammer, and disconnector (ALG AKG trigger; I have the original full auto parts)

*ALG AKT, am retarded

This

FFLs are suuuuper careful because they've basically signed their anus to ATF search and inspection without warning

o shit u right

>It's barrel
Yuck, oh well.

I mean Green Mountain chrome lined 5.45 barrels are pretty good

Ive build 3. You can do a screw build easy but they are not the prettiest. You could buy a complete reciever from nodak spud. You will still need a press to put your barrel fixtures on. And to rivet.

do not screw build, they will fail

If it were some romanian garbage I'd risk it, but

1) I don't actually have any idea how to go about removing dimpled barrel accessories, nor dimple them myself once I put them on the new barrel

2)This will be my first AK. I've never built one before and if I fuck up this Russian beauty in any way, I'll kill myself. I need this done by a professional

Check out M13 industries on Instagram. They do solid work and I will be sending a galil kit to them in the future.

Also screws should never so much as touch a Russian rifle

They're not CHF. Why didn't you buy a Bulgarian 5.45 barrel? They fit properly and look the part.

What's their @

drill out the dimples, the only way

Because I got some steel AIMS-74 mags and I didn't wanna fuck with the gas piston and I've got to do 922r because

That is a nice kit, but 2 things I would suggest.
1. The russian gas block has a slightly smaller inner diameter (hole the barrel goes through, not the gas port) than other 74 gas blocks, so whomever you have build it will need to slim down the gas block journal a little in order to use the Russian gas block. I fucked up my gas block because I didn't know this at the time.

2. The green mountain barrels are really nice, but because this has become one of the rarer kits, go ahead and save up for a legit Bulgy CHF barrel from K-var. You can get some US followers for your mags to make up the difference for 922 (r).

Hope you get a good builder, cause that will be an awesome rifle when finished.

Fuck.

Definitive Arms.

Thanks, man! And yeah, you're right; I guess I'd rather hunt for a perfect color match US plum handguard than go for the US barrel. The barrel is the only thing I haven't bought yet

You can also drill down the center of the barrel with progressivly larger drill bits till it gets thin enough to buckle. It will destroy the bits, but you wouldn't lose the factory dimples.

But yes, drilling the dimples is definitely easier.

Or the follower thing if I can find them

m13industries

This. I sent my Draco there and it’s being worked on as we speak. They are quality builders

I checked them out. They seem like a cool company, and most of their service prices are pretty good which makes it even more confusing that they're charging "$550-$650" to rivet a parts kit together.

Also I like your dog and your AK
