Who makes a better short-shotgun?

Remington VS Mossberg
I don't own any shotguns but I'm going to go with Ruger.
With the QC flack that Remmington has been getting I'd go with Mossberg.
Get a savage instead
I'd go Mossberg 100%. They both have lines of guns that pretty much mirror each other on price point, functionality, and quality. It's just that Remmington's QC is worse, so seeing as they're basically the same in every other way there's not much of a point in getting a Remmington.
15 years ago I'd have said remington, but moss(((berg))) is your best bet these days. There are some outright advantages to the berg as well like an ambidextrous safety. Even though you probably wouldn't ever use a safety on a shotgun because only retards leave them chambered.
Ruger doesn't make a pump action shotgun.
What about the Marine versions?

Just FYI, the ((((berg)))) in Mossberg is one of the few non-heeb usages you will ever find
For pump guns:
Benelli>mossberg>remington
Remington
Bestington
Shotgunton
Mossberg is a great American made company with a track record of supporting the right to self defense using guns.
Recent Remingtons are called Rustingtons for a reason.
isnt that illegal?
you can buy two mossbergs for the price of that
It's not a pistol or shotgun so it just falls under 'Firearm" which you just gotta be 21 to buy. No stamp required since it's half an inch above the minimum required OAL
9 shot moss 590 with the bayonet imo.
I feel like Mossberg's is meme-ier for some reason and the entire gun exists purely as a meme, so I'll say the Mossberg.
NO LO SE
The perfect shotgun was first produced in 1893 and after some changes to strengthen the design in 1897, remained in production for nearly 70 years unchanged and all other pump shotguns are inferior and mistakes.
Remington shits all over mossberg when they weren't run by an capital managment firm. Mossbergs were never objectively nice guns compared to non express Remingtons, Remington went down the toilet is what happened, police magnums and wingmasters are still fine though.
marine magnum is based off the express magnum, not police magnums
>muh trench gun
>not the based model 17/ithaca 37
Did I say anything about a trench gun motherfucker?
No
The police/riot 1897 with a 20” barrel and bead front sight is peak scattergat with features no modern shotgun has
Quick load/Unload, no gay ass loading gates, slamfire, and being able to control the state of the gun with the hammer is amazing, it’s also very light for an all steel and wood gun
Tac-14 Dumpster Defender > AIDSBergSteinGoldowitz
Unrelated but how are the benelli nova shotguns? They're pretty cheap, and look like total mall ninja shit.
Enjoy repeatedly cutting your hand on the breech
I’ve never done that in the 800 or so rounds I’ve put through it, and neither have any of my friends.
Maybe you should lay off the moisturizer and use your hands for something other than jerking off.
no.
If your going to spend the money save up for a benneli or somthing
They are not the greatest shotgun producers out their but its qaulity controll is spot on for the most part.
But if you insist on a cheap but usable gun. Go with mossberg.
Remmingtons QC is dog shit. Mossbergs shit stinks aswell and both are rust magnets if not taken care of regularly.
I’m literally running my hand on the breach as hard as possible and unless you sharpened it, I don’t see how you could do that without sharpening it or something.
Ithaca 37
Can’t top off the chamber in an Ithaca, so it’ll naturally slower to reload
Well, your's is broken in because I've handled A LOT of guns and mod. 97's have made me bleed more than all other guns combined. It's actually probably only one of maybe three or so to have done it. I promise I'm not a retard, but just imagine if that was machined sharp as shit. I've probably handled somewhere between 15 to 18 of them
Model 1912 > Model 1897
Millennials are stupid and don't know who to clean and take care of their guns.

On what the ship from China? Mine’s a Cimarron repro, but my uncle has two pre-1930s Winchesters that are beautiful field guns but I wanted the riot without paying an obscene price for an original.
It honestly has done nothing but keep surprising me for how rough the action was when I got it. It’s still one of my favorite guns even though it was a total gamble since I don’t trust shit from China worth a damn.
Best $350 I’ve ever spent
please. Model 12s are a dime a dozen. You could swing a dead cat and hit three.
The only correct answer
never handled a repro, only the real ones, good to know there's an option out there that's cost effective and doesn't suck
Mejor te llamas, El Puto.
It’s pretty nice for the money, finish on the wood is meh but looks ok, while the bluing is actually pretty nice.
It also has a chrome lined barrel and a modified Winchoke pattern choke, and a rubber recoil pad that actually works compared to most of the ones I’ve seen come on stock shotguns. Overall worth the money, even if the action is a little rough.
