>One Kiantone resident, Brian Malta, was so outraged by the conduct of one of his neighbors that he took out his replica Civil War cannon and fired it across his fence for eight days. The cannon was loaded with powder and wadding, so it was technically no more dangerous than a bird-scaring device. However, the discharge could be heard for miles around, so eventually Malta was arrested and charged.
>While it is not illegal to own a cannon in New York State, deputies seized the weapon since it was being used maliciously. Malta was charged with harassment and was allowed home after posting $2,500 bail. He will face North Harmony Town Court on three counts of second-degree menacing and three counts of second-degree harassment.
start reenacting. something fun with line battles.

Just dump the fishing weights into a lightweight fabric sack, tie it off, and then load it like a regular full size cannon ball. The sack will tear apart when fired and you have grapeshot.
Joseph King
can you get one on amazon; my search engine won't crank.
Juan Miller
real cannons are thousands, not including the carriage. UNLESS you have access to somewhere you can pour large metal molds, or can turn extremely large pieces of metal in a huge lathe, and are also willing to make a carriage.
Jackson Myers
but this being said the accessories, powder and ammo are cheap and available
Thomas Butler
If somebody had access to these sorts of things, they can probably afford to drop 5 grand.
Also if you have access to a place that you can shoot the thing with any sort of regularity, you probably have money.
What part of shall not be infringed do you fucking cunts not understand? He even has a period specific weapon so you can't claim it's not in the spirit of the law
Henry Garcia
I wouldn't want to transport it anywhere. And if I did I'd probably do it maybe once. And then I'd fire it maybe twice and get sick of it.
go to a tire shop and ask to buy a bucket of used wheel weights
melt them in a lead smelting pot
pour into molds
Nicholas Reed
This ain't the 90s grandpa. Wheel weights are zinc now.
Robert Moore
Go to the scrapyard then
Connor Williams
If you take any firearm, point it at people, and fire it at them with blanks, you are abusing the right and also violating laws besides those concerning firearm ownership. This is why he was charged the way he was.
Justin Morgan
Does this count? Fuckers fly for a quarter mile.
Also, double or triple loading golfballs for a shotgun effect is hilarious. It uses blanks, and the golfballs spall and bounce like crazy if they hit stuff.
>how is a device that does not suppress or have baffles not a suppressor? Gee I dont know.
Ethan Powell

Move up to canister shot fren
Nah you can pick them up for less than a thousand if you look in auctions
>tfw live in western NY >tfw been to Kiantone I can tell you for a fact that >Kiantone man fires cannon to fuck with neighbor doesn't surprise me in the least.
Colton King
Because you are looking at he part that threads onto the barrel. The other side has a near two inch hole that you place the golf ball into, and after firing, the golf ball comes out of the same hole. You see the little pic on the right middle? Yeah. Big fucking hole. Does not suppress shit.
It is not recommended to use real ammo. Blanks only. Projectile ammo will still work to launch the golf ball, however, now you have an actual bullet flying who the fuck knows where after ripping through the golf ball. Plus, golf ball will get way knocked off course and be unreusable. With blanks, you can always throw the ball back in and shoot again if you recover the golf ball.
John Howard
>He even has a period specific weapon Not really. Civil War was a century later, and pretty much coincided with peak muzzle-loading artillery. The Revolution, on the other hand, was just after the dawn of field artillery, and it was still kinda primitive trash by comparison.
Camden Brown
You can still find quite a lot of lead ones.
Gavin Cook
Because you have glaucoma or something. It clearly says it's a cup for launching golfballs (which certainly wouldn't fit through the threaded end), and there's even pics of the muzzle.
Camden Walker
I want one of those for an M1 rifle.
Hudson Carter
>implying

>baffled MONOCORE MASTER RACE

I use mortars for cross property behavior modification
As cool as a reproduction parrot gun would be, I think we'd be better suited by making some more modern cannons. Does anyone here know exactly what the laws are governing such ordnance? Can we use proper cartridges, or do we have to pack the propellant and projectile separately? Can it be breechloading? Rifled? Are explosive shells ok, or must we use shot? How about grape shot? Are there caliber restrictions? So many questions.
Dylan Jones
Everything you described as modern cannons would be NFA items. A muzzle loading black powder cannon is exempted from the NFA. You can make a replica of an old cannon, perhaps something that looks kind of modern like some black powder hunting rifles- but no cartridges.
Levi Reed
That is true though. If the cannon were portable it would be brandishing.
Dominic Gomez
Alright, so it seems that .50in is the limit for breechloading, and explosive shells are restricted in either case. The next question would then be how much power we can get from either variant. Can we use modern propellants in a muzzle loading configuration? How about sabot rounds? Can we induce a shrapnel effect in a high velocity round without explosives?
Levi Collins
>monocore doesn't have baffles
Jace Rodriguez
It is standard 1/2 X 28 TPI threading. Standard threading. It may be possible to get a machining done for the launcher after you buy it for your rifle. I have two, and the base where the rifle threading is at is fucking solid. It is a hefty hunk of metal. It is 3/4 inch thick steel slab base, with the tubing being about 1/8 steel. Damn thing is not light. So, entirely possible I think to get new, larger bore threading done, easy.
Benjamin Davis
THERE'S NO CORE!! Nothing. Just like 1 3/4 inch wide tube. No way to even screw a tube to your barrel through the middle. Rifle flash hider threads do not extend above the steel base inside the launcher. Believe me. I looked.
Tyler Edwards
It also makes an oddly satsfying Thwooomp! when you fire it. Like shooting an M203. I imagine the ballistics are similar too. I had an old M203 sight we mounted, the leaf and swing arm range piece, and it was not completely right, but good enough. An M1 Garand or M1 battle rifle? Garand would probably blow that golf ball to shreds, the .30 carbine round would probably give similar results to 5.56 blanks. These golf balls fucking MOVE. If you hit someone inside of 50 meters, I am sure broken bones would result.
Brody Harris
What did his neighbor do?
Blake Green
>being used maliciously HAHAHA
Cooper Williams
a .50 is more useful in taking down hard targets than a round cannonball. Cannons are good but you need atleast early 20th century ones

I bought one of these and it helps get my fill for cannons.
