Will fighterfags ever recover?

>Cheeky chinese hackers turn them all around and they start engaging your own forces

Will dronelets ever recover?

>bitter about drones replacing you
>not excited that 4 will be slaved to your fighter and you'll engage as a badass formation rather than one scrub

If they could do that, they could shut down all the fancy electronics modern fighters completely rely on to not be reduced to WWII status.

>Electronic warfare denies all BVR engagements
>Have to duke it out over the skies dogfighting in Gen V fighters using only guns
>tfw this will never happen

In the future ground troops will go into the attack under the cover of ECM delivered by mortars.

i dont think that this is the nail in the coffin but the fact that these drones can withstand 12 Gs repeatedly without pilot fatigue is pretty substantial and shouldnt be overlooked.

if i were to guess their weakest point its that they may have considerable and increasing trigger lag, where split second maneuvers are delayed through wireless transmission which would be the difference between a win and a loss.

but then again if theres 20 of these things vs an enemy fighter, its game over.

>you have to suck dick just to become a rated officer in the Chairforce, or if your dad was a former general and shiiett
>you have to be the most Chad just to get a fighter slot, you don't want transport or rotary
>you will spend ungodly hours inside a simulator, a basic trainer jet, a jet trainer, a fighter jet simulator before you even get to fly the real thing
>meanwhile E-1 Airman Tyrone can fly a drone in a year

the last fighter pilot has already been born, and he has also likely already joined.

and this is why manned aircraft are obsolete.

Pretty sure you need a rated slot to fly drones in the airforce.

Gee, how did that happen?

this and Fighters were on their way out the moment they became too expensive to be expendable.

>Implying the neckbeard will even have a job by 2030.
>Implying the drone won't just be flying itself to BTFO you and take your jerb.

why do you think theyve hardly been used since WW2? theyre as obsolete as battleships.

I would not say obsolete, but right now they are in a similar strange position the battleships once were in.
Too impactfull to not have them, but to precious to use them in robustly contested spaces.
And everybody is looking desperately for someting cheaper.

OP doesn't realize that is a robotic wingman?

>>Electronic warfare denies all BVR engagements
The truth is ROE has consistently denied BVR engagements for decades.
The ceremonial war of globohomo police action ruins all the great inventions of warfare.

>drone needs connection to ground to operate
>piloted plane does not

Can EW jets be modified to neutralize these?

Arent these things (and things like them) at real risk of getting “hacked”?

Or at least some form of electronic countermeasure to render them useless

The term BVR engagement doesn't even come close to applying to bombing hajis
