No. Not if they were actual Poles, and not Volksdeutsche/Ostpreußen. The Wehrmacht didn't take any foreign conscripts or volunteers at all, it was 100% German. Anyone else who wanted/had to join and wasn't German had to join the Waffen-SS. And like you said, Poles were barred from entry to the Waffen-SS. Unlike everyone else, literally. Except Jews.

No, not really. Not historically, and not in our time. Dutch, sure, or French, they fucking hate Germans, and the English of course. At least they did back when i was young, my school stop an exchange program with England because students kept getting mobbed and beaten in England. And a friend of mine was beaten out of a bar in NL because she spoke German. But Poles, not really. Germans and Poles are close neighbours, and were even closer during the time of Silesia, where my family came from. No hard feelings towards the Poles ever, even though they chased my great Grandmother out of Poland. German Silesian Folklore/Traditions are not that different from Polish ones, and the cuisine is very close.
I think it was a Nazi thing, not a German thing. At least i never experienced any kind of bloodfeud between Germans and Poles like i did between us and our friends from Westeurope.
