It's an ugly gun. Tall frame and slide look awful, grip texture looks like something from walmart's bathroom section. Good looking polymer subcompacts are rare, but this one is particularly ugly.

The safety thing is a little bit of a myth. You can fire the Type 94 by pressing the sear bar, but not if the safety is engaged. The idea that Japanese soldiers would "surrender" their Type 94, holding it in their palm, muzzle pointed at an American, and then shoot it by pressing the sear bar with their thumb, isn't realistic. Mostly for the fact that nobody would allow someone surrendering to be holding a weapon and obviously pointing it at them.
