Buying steel case "ammo"

I dont run steel case in AR-15s because I dont think they are made for it, but my WASR 10 shoots them plenty fine without anything wrong. Infact I have had more problems with my AR-15 with only brass cases then my WASR-10 running only wolf steel.

That's where my saiga sends all the brass like 10-15yds away. With a Vepr you can adjust the gas setting probably tune it to cycle reliably and lessen the recoil. But remember theres a huge difference between high brass slugs and low brass birdshot.
If you switch between the two alot; just leave it where it cycles both.
AFAIK one problem with AKs that you can't adjust the gas setting is that they can deform the BCG and rear trunnion over time.

I run steel through my AK (golden tiger laquer coated) and brass through my AR
I don't want to put any steel through my AR mostly because of the increased likelihood of a case breaking and getting stuck in the chamber, and wear/tear overall
AK's are built for that shit, AR's...less so
AK's are undeniably more fun to shoot than AR15's, but AR10's are more fun than both. Still won't run steel through the 10 for the same reason and steel 308 being even more likely to fuck things up.

I shoot brass, I shoot steel. Don't really give two fucks either way. Hell, I even reload steel case, only once and you don't have to fucking trim the shit.

I think steel case is fun, but I've only put 400 rounds through my AR. I built mine for $550, didn't clean or lube it until after my last range trip, and I have yet to have any problems with Tula HP ammo. Steel seems fine for me. I wanted an AR instead of a .22, so it seems good for cheap plinking. The vodkamonkeys at Tula have done well by me so far.

Just know that Wolf is a bit more consistent in quality than Tula but if it’s reliable, all is good. Steelcase is fucking dirty but just lube your gun.

If your properly maintained and lubricated gun simply cannot eat steel without jamming or parts breaking, your gun is shit.

I've actually gotten tula hollowpoints without the hollow. It's only happened like, twice, but it was definitely what steered me away from it and towards wolf.

A quality firearm will cycle any ammo, from steel case to match grade.

Steel case ammo and bi-metal jackets require knowing literally only two things.

1. You will have carbon build up in your chamber. This probably won't mean shit to 99% person of people, but this could cause a malfunction if you swap between steel and brass frequently. So just clean your gun unlike retarded OP.

2. Bi-metal jackets will wear your barrel faster, but after 10k rounds you will save retarded amounts of money and can afford to buy a prime ass barrel. As well as you get more training for your buck.

unlikely as bimetals are usually lacquered with a polymer that won't scratch

The powder used in the rounds causes more friction in the barrel that erodes the barrel faster. However, you can clean your rifle and prevent that buildup. Rifle barrels can last a decent number of rounds above 10k if they are properly taken care of but apparently that is not common knowledge here.
