Jow Forums vehicles home made or surplus

Jow Forums vehicle thread.
What would you build or buy if you had some spare cash.

2005 toyota camry.
>tfw going 85 past cops and they don't even pull you over because your car is so boring they assume their radar is malfunctioning

Based. Not to mention in a SHTF scenario, you'd have excellent fuel economy and plenty of other cars to scavenge for spare parts.

My first car was an 05 Camry SE with a 2.4L I4. It really was a nice car. I ended up accidentally killing the transmission and buying an 01 Jeep XJ that ended up getting me hooked on Jeeps. Financial mistake that.

A C202

I want an m113 APC to turn into a camper.

Same but with a BTR, tracks wear a lot over long distances and are incredibly annoying to maintain as one person.

Go M577 if you do pick one up, there's enough room to stand in one of those, and they come with a power generator/APU.

I'd like to buy a decent boat that doesn't tip over at every ripple. I'll never get those guns back.

CB90s are pretty good at not tipping over, plenty of space for all your funs too.

I don't know user. Stormchasing is my passion, I bring my guns to try and shoot the hurricane away. Sadly my guns sometimes suffer casualties. It can handle perfume river waters but I don't know if it can chase down a squall. I sometimes wonder if I'll ever be able to keep guns in my possession.

If it comes to that then the local police station would also like to buy some stairs that suspects won't fall down all the time.

I usually attach myself to my guns using 0.007in fishing line to prevent myself from losing them too. I always attach the line around the magazines, but for some reason I still lose them even with this perfect method.

wat do

I’ve been duct taping my fish hunting equipment to the side of the boat, with mixed results.

As for my ideal vehicle, I’ve always liked BTR-50s. Failing that, I want a merkava.

I’ve been looking at a M37 as a resto project/shtf vehicle.

I figure I’ll get the bed mount and look into getting a semi auto m1919.

kekle

I'd get 10 f350s and put bulletproof windows and tires on it and mount 50s and recoiless rifles in the back

TATA Xenon. Diesel four cylinder, LSD, and 4x4. It'd be a pretty rad off-road/work truck.

Aim high user...or hilariously low. That truck is non-descript and depressing.

It's not a nice truck, but that's the point. American trucks you have to pay a lot of money to get the good stuff like LSD, 4x4, etc. This is dirt cheap relative to that and gets you the stuff you actually need in a truck.

Japs, friend. Japs. They make some solid trucks over there. Hilux, even an old Datsun makes for a good technical.

>poo in loo truck

how could we forget...

You're probably right, I'm just partial to the Xenon, because we had them in Afghanistan to run ammo, food, and people around the FOB.

They aren't the best, but certainly not bad. Not to mention I don't think those trucks ever got serviced in their lives.

I always wanted a Ford camper special.
Growing up my neighbor had one and the kids used to hang out in the camper.
He offered to let our family use it but sold it before we ever took him up on it.
Not really Jow Forums more like /out/.

Just got a Hummer, feel like it will be pretty neat when I replace the bumper and get a roof rack.

2000 toyota Tacoma pre runner fucking the OG of light pickups fucking ain't died on me yet and at 500000 miles and going strong

I'd put an LS into whatever just to get more than 4 MPG.

>the local police station would also like to buy some stairs that suspects won't fall down all the time
Safety stairs are unironically an either really good idea or a terrible one. Probably would be able to sell to the elderly for a tidy profit.

Just finished working on my M35a2 a couple hours ago, now all the light work and are LED.
Its fun to drive but only gets 9-10mpg, which would suck if I was buying diesel.
But I run filtered waste oil which is free.
And I have to say 9-10mpg for a 13,000lb truck turning ten 42" tires, is still good my jeep gets 14mpg with four 33" tires

Deuce and a half or a BTR-60,70, or whatever. Or a plane. Maybe a C130 that'd be sick.

I own picrelated. If I wasn't poor Id buy a new Superduty xl crewcab with the 6.7l. Superior to anything ever issued sans something like a JLTV or MATV. Old dueces and power wagons are cool but are complete trash in terms of actual utility. If you're sacrificing that much it needs to be armored.

How is this?

Attached: 1004505_10153143823040455_1289780773_n.jpg (800x533, 82K)

user i drove a tata in afghanistan. It had the sloppiest transmission ive ever used. You shouldnt be able to throw a truck into 4th and have enough play to move the stick into the 1st position.
Small displacment diesels are a thing i wish we had in the us though.

i only need my feet.

Where is that user who was building the armored truck?
