Is there anything wrong with 1911 compacts?

They're old tech but still kill nonetheless.

>inb4 fudd-tier lole
A perfectly good CC gun. Nice slim profile, steel frame helps with the slight extra kick for better target reacquisition, just be sure you practice flipping that safety off on the draw. Condition one with that thing or bust.

They aren't big enough.

I have no professional experience so take it with a grain of salt, but my understanding is that they go through recoil springs much faster than conventional slide lengths

>chews up recoil spring in 2000 rounds
>carries same # of rounds as LCP/bodyguard
>weighs as much as a a fully loaded 15 shot polymer 9mm
>picky as a celiac teenager with ammo
>has nice trigger
Fuck those stupid fucking guns and their stupid fucking owners.
t. gunsmith at lgs that constantly has to deal with "repairs" on these prematurely worn out, non-functional shit shows of guns

t. actually a noguns beretta fanboy

I seriously doubt that the average boomer carrying an officer 1911 shoots it enough to wear it out

why go compact obviously what you need is a good C96 or even better an M712

Your argument is invalid faggot.

Nice LARP

1000 shots will wear one out

ugly stippling but looks functional

Is there anything wrong with having an extra chromosome. no, but yes

The low slide mass makes for an incredibly high cyclic rate when using 230gr ammo. This has the effect of:

>Failures to extract due to abnormally high chamber pressure.
>Failures to extract get worse over time as the extractor deforms and loses tune as it repeatedly jumps the rim, eventually leading to a prematurely broken extractor.
>Bolt-over-base malfunctions since the mag spring can't consistently position the next round before the slide starts moving forward.
>Stiff recoil springs can mitigate these, but the springs lose power relatively quickly and make working the slide difficult.

There is a simple and effective solution though. Use ammo with bullet weights of 200gr or less.

No, there really are not. I have heard some memes about them being picky with ammo or lowering the .45's energy potential or range.

It is most likely a fuddlore because there are tons of people who carry them and are satisfied with them. Pic related is Colt officers acp - my favourite of 1911 compacts.

Image you posted is not even 1911. It is Star B 9mm. Sissy.

Why C-96 tho ? Get some Borchardt C-93 they are prettier imho. Also almost impossible to get.

>single action

>double cucktion

>appendix carried

they tend to be less reliable than full size 1911's
