I spoke with a guy that works at ATRS a while ago.

The rear pin isn't supposed to move, the screw is only for extra insurance, it's never really removed in any normal use or take-down, even when detail stripping the pin can stay there.

Their machinist specified the design of the pin to be a modest interference fit requiring some force to install or remove without requiring a hydrolics press, and what screw to use. ATRS installs the pin themselves and loctites the screw in.

IIRC some trigger packs interfere with the fixed pin so ATRS offers a service to modify the lower for a small fee. This modification allows for the use of a standard rear take down pin that is captive and can be pushed out of the way for field stripping with the weirder aftermarket trigger packs.
