I bought an enfield l1a1 from 1959 out of a lot that was destined for the falklands but never got used (because the war was over too quick.) I picked this one because it had the wooden buttstock and black handguards. (Which I think is the most perfect fal esthetic) however there were also later model year rifles from BSA in all black. All rifles were in perfect seemingly unfired condition. (Literally straight from the factory) I’m kinda thinking it might have been a stupid move not getting one of the newer models. Since the one I picked was probably refurbished in the factory... I dunno any fal experts here? Please tell me I did good picking out this one?
