First off - I'll have to say that I live in a fairly rural area and despise the city, but visit often enough to see the degeneracy.
I've debated carrying a knife, but getting raped by the authorities and having my guns taken away for having a self defense weapon as shitty as a knife is not worth it for me.
My dad recently waited to pick me up at a train station and he came up with carrying a hard rubber walking cane. A ranged weapon would be my preference in any case.

This is sad. That little turd probably has a shit family that beats him on the regular causing him to vent his frustration and anger on others needlessly, whereas the other kid probably has a well-adjusted family situation and would never have dreamed of being attacked when he woke up that morning to put on his skates.
