Owning firearms in Germany/The Netherlands

Alright, how easy / hard is it to obtain a firearm legally while living in Germany? I just moved here and am unfamiliar with the laws around this. I assume you have to have a hunting license, but how hard is it to obtain such a license? Then what are the rules around purchasing?

You SEIG HEIL

Don't know the rules in Deutschistan, but here in NL there are two basic ways to get firearms
>be a member of a recreational shooting club
>have a hunting license
In the first case you need to have been a member for at least a year, then you can request a license for a firearm. It will likely be granted unless you have committed crimes in the last 8 years or it's clear you have some serious personal/psychological issues.
In the second case you need to complete a theoretical and practical hunting exam. i.e. sufficient knowledge of nature and competence with a gun. Both licenses last for a year and cost around 90 euros. You'll need to buy a secure gun cabinet and store ammo and guns seperately. I think you might also need to record your purchases and expenditure of ammo.

Not OP, but what are the difficulties of just creating your own shooting club?
>literally every shooting club in a radius of 50km stopped accepting new members for a while now.

Can also confirm that the laws in NL are kinda cucking you over.

>Then what are the rules around purchasing?

Germany:
Hunting license: approx 2300€ 3 weeks class plus Tests,
Sport shooting:
1 year membership in a Shooting Club, 18 times training in that year minimum plus a gun safety& law test.

In the netherlands you're literally stuck to bolties unless you manage to get a form for a cat II accepted by the highest ranking member of police on a province level. thank the new EU gun directives.

There's also the option of declaring you're starting a collection, but that also requires you to keep a 'theme' according to the law.
Alternatively start a business (eenmanszaak/VOF) that does firearms related shit, as long as the yearly transactions aren't 0 you'll essentially become the euro equivalent of a US FFL holder.

Get some frens, get a range, get clearance. It's not much harder than getting a license, aside from the money aspect. You need to be a licenseholder to start a club I think.

How do you get the clearance though?
I've read all relevant laws regarding this front to back, they don't cover the process of declaring your club a shooting club. Rijksoverheid also doesn't cover this on their help sites. Should I contact the local government/mayor about this?

Depending on the type of license, there are different rules for buying. Guns have to be registered with the authorities within 14 dass after buying.
Eg sport shooters are only allowed to buy 4 guns a year, and hunters only 2 pistols/ revolvers ever.

Decided this would be kinda relevant from now on.

>only 2 pistols/ revolvers ever.
I think you mean "own at any given time", not "buy 2 guns at age 20 and never ever be allowed to buy a pistol again".

No wonder why every german I know has MR556 or Haenel/Schmeisser ARs.

Chill dood, I like my bitch

In Germany, you might own alles sorts of guns, but there are certain limitations, for example a Sport shooter is allowed 2 pistols, 3 semi auto long guns and a shitload of repeaters o/us etc. If you want more pistols, you habe to proof competing in tournaments

I'd imagine you'll need to build/accommodate a building suitable for KNSA guidelines and then apply for membership. It could be a bitch depending on your budget and location.

Here's what they say about legal requirements for ranges

>KNSA
I thought the KNSA wasn't a mandatory organization to join as a club owner.

Wenn ich jede Besonderheit unseres Waffengesetzes aufliste, fällt mir vorher der Daumen ab

You mean ZIB ? Nope, 30€ for the MR223 and the G3 is 3.50!

darn, off by 50 cents.

They don't seem to be but it's hard to find any info beyond what they supply.

Germany:

Go shooting in a official recognized sport shooting club for a year. You either have to train once in a month for 12 months or 18 times in 12 months. You have to document these training sessions carefully and have them signed off by the range officer.

After the year has passed, you send in your shooting documents to your shooting association and request a confirmation of your need for a firearm.

With the recievied confirmation documents, proof that you own a certified gunsafe (bill and pictures), copies of your shooting documentation, documents that proof that you have a proper insurance you then send in your request for a firearms-licence to your local Weapons-Agency.

They conduct some extensive background checks on you in various security agencies and after a few weeks you either get your licence or they require you to do a additional psychological evaluation or outright deny you the licence when you have a trackrecord of being criminal or unstable.

After that you are able to request certain firearms which always have to be certified for a certain discipline.

My first firearms will be a HK 243 S TAR and a HK SFP9 L.

I think that speaks for itself.

But close user, very close :3.
Bought some even without a G3, just in case if I get one next years ;)

Still have like 5 G36 magazines, which made the trip to the desert

If it weren't for the english in this thread the mutt would be none the wiser and still buy their beater surplus G3 mags with bent feed lips for 30 USD.

Kinda weird saying that you'd have to build it by KNSA standards anyway, that implies the range must be compliant to it at all times, and a range also has periods without competitive shooting.

>tfw 2-gun action challenge will never be a thing due to muh safety.

What said and pic related.

I also have to add something to the pic:
You can get the hunting license through a crash course (2-3 weeks of extra hard wörk) and be hasguns in

Only for sportshooters.
>Americans pay 200 bucks for a sbr

>if the authorities get off their fucking asses and do their job.

The funny thing is: Some people legitimately get their licences within a fucking day, it's hilarious.

H&K sucks. Last week they asked their workers to renounce a part of their pay check to keep the company afloat...

>germans have to cope with 16.5"
Only sport shooters

Try waiting nearly 2 months.
They're so fucking lazy that it should be a criminal offense.

H&K USA and H&K GmbH are two different companies, which one?

About pic related, I've seen numerous semiauto Vz.58 rifles for under 450 euros, are they worth picking up in the current political climate?

Had a side by side comparison cugir vs sdm and found the sdm to be better made. Could you elaborate pls?

I see what you did there.

>has to be on a shooting club for a year
LMAO
here in spain I requested my firearm license after 1 week of being accepted on my shooting club
get rekt

Well In my humble opinion the build quality of the SDM might be better, but the barrel quality of the cugir far exceeds the sdm.
also the Precision with cheapo steel cased was way better. Not that mine had seen any other ammo ever.

>Try waiting nearly 2 months.
>They're so fucking lazy that it should be a criminal offense.
„Untätigkeit im Amt“ is a Straftatbestand and you can threaten to sue. The lawsuit will never get anywhere because they'll stop being untätig real damn quick once you mention that, but it also means you'll have to be extra careful when filling out your next Antrags because they WILL remember you, for better or for worse

Arent military calibers banned in spain?
Can you even keep your firearms fully at home?

laughs in 31 cent .223

Can't find the listing while going through search history. I am also not sure if it was even a dutch/german store, could also be a gay-ass belgian one. Will try to look on my computer at work tomorrow and post the listing as a reply to this post, if I find it.

Flinten Freunde hier?

Attached: IMG_20190323_130818.jpg (4160x3120, 2.57M)

Ehm.. you know that we also have the .308? (Which is the same as 7,62)

What's the practical difference between .223 and .222?

Do you guys have semis?

Well, it got much better since that one lady came back from a long (loooonnnggg) sick leave.
She and I get along great, she fast tracks my stuff and she always draws smileys on my invoice when I get my papers back.

Sadly she's in her early 60s, because damn, i'd hit that.

>Btw gents I'm proud of you all. Good thread, no morons some banter...me gusta!
Yeah for some reason these threads with an EU theme seem to do better than the /egg/ threads. Could also be that german and dutch gun owners aren't all boomers in their 50s and actually know how to use Jow Forums.

.222 is weaker and isn't a military caliber, so faggots in faggy countries can own some semblance of a real gun.

Yeah I have a 12 gauge Coach gun, a O/U Miroku for Trap shooting. Looking for a pump action to hunt Krabben! ( Word play: Krabben are crabs in German, but also a mixed word of Krähen und Raben ( crows and ravens)

LOL NO 9mm.

Stay mad spaintard.

More German guns. 22lr,308,223. It's really easy to get a semi if you found a shooting club who is not full... To many people wanna join after 2015 refuge welcome...

Yesus maria wo zum fick schießt man hierzulande ohne Jagdschein long range?

Talk to police, local government, other clubs or national organisation for clubs. I'm not from either countries so I have no clue how to do it. Maybe you should just buy a range and get it approved by the police, start hosting competitions. Expand. Host competitions in a new style of shooting. After alot of people are shooting at your range you impose a small fee for maintanance, and then you're growing from a real "public" range to a club. I don't think you can just send an email and get approved and then start building it.

Will you just calm down a bit?

Nothing wrong with spanish gunbros.

In my cunt you form the club simmilar to how you form a company or a gun store. But a club here doesn't have to have the right to own guns to loan newbies. So you don't need clearance. If you want that clearance you form a regular förening and apoint one or several "main persons" with licenses that will be cleared like if they were starting a gun company. The police does the clearing. If you don't want to have guns to loan people you just form a förening and build the range and charge a fee just like if it was a vintage porn magazine club. You need to have a system(this can be extremely basic) for recording prescense. Since clubs should file (mandatory once eu law becomes national law) prescense records of a license holder if the license holder wishes to renew his or hers license.

dutchfag here, I was told the ranges near Bergen, Munster and Unterluess were sometimes open to civilian shooters. Is this not the case?

They are, but probably aren't listed, because they aren't run by a club, but the Bundeswehr.

Was wondering, because in the netherlands there are a few clubs that have gotten permission from the Dutch army to have their registered range be an army maneuver range.

Shame the club is closed, and requires you to be one of the following to join:
-an active service member or have quit the armed forces less than 4 years ago
-a direct relative of an active service member

Haven't visited the club, but I know they are allowed to purchase NSN catalogued ammunition from the army in bulk, so probably one massive larp fest in dutch DPM.

what? 9mm is legal here retard
literally everything is legal (

Ofc we do have semis lmao
why do you think Spain is THAT restrictive?

wot

Which 7,62?

everything

>just moved to germany
fuck off back to your shitty desert hole, you rat

Oh and btw. forget ever carrying any firearm. There are 3 ways to carry: 1. You live in such a bad neighborhood that you get raped/mugged so many times that you basically qualify for a police escort wherever you go. 2. You need it for your job. Law enforcement, bodyguard etc. and then you can only carry on the commute and at work. 3. It's part of your tribe/religions customs. Good luck proving that. Even if you manage to qualify for any of those 3 you still have to renew the license every 2 years.
