An IED can still pop treads, thus neutralizing the tank for a good minute. Then theres the 12 hour shit show that ensues, where the entire tank column has to pull 360 security until EOD can clear the area, then they have to get the tank wrecker to come and tow the downed vic back to base so it can get fixed. Wash rinse and repeat for 17 years until everyone is so tired of this exact same process that they just kind of stop thinking about it.

Tanks eat fuel and spare parts like crazy, the logistical vehicles are what any rebels are going to be focusing on, not the actual tanks. Also, tanks are very vulnerable to catching fire. The rubber track-pads are flammable and if those catch fire there's a good chance the entire tank will be destroyed. Simple Molotovs are a cheap and sort of effective AT weapon.

What most people don't understand is that efp's can be made by casting the cone.

A exp can be made in about an hour with all the materials

First you cut power and water supply to the military bases that are not allied to you, then destroy if not, sabotage the major roads.
They'll be forced to ditch their base sooner or later because no water, and when they get to important roads sabotaged by you,. They take a detour route or take the risk of being stuck and move across the destroyed roads. Either way you force them to slow down and take longer to reach another base.
If you choose to sabotage roads you could sabotage things like bridges to collapse the moment something heavy passes over it, etc etc.

The longer they spend outside of a resupplying point the more chances you have because fuel. Waste their time by forcing them to take the most ridiculous of detours, maybe get a car stuck in the mud on the side of the road and pretend to be an innocent civilian asking them for help to recover your car, ask for any spare fuel from them because your car ran out of fuel, approach them with the injured and ask for help from their medics, pretend to be lost for days due to the chaos and ask them for food and water, etc etc.

By hijacking/destroying their supply convoys.

An IED won't kill a tank and making one big enough would be a gross misappropriation of resistance resources. Logistical supply of bomb making materials is going to be a bitch and wasting it on 0 kills and a semi-disabled tank is poor decision making. You're better off IED'ing infantry or transport/supply vehicles/trains etc. and just molotoving the tank or fucking up the air intake of the engine with ultra fine, sharp materials like asbestos dust or something
