They all made sense to me at the time I purchased them. I bought the 10/22 the day I turned 18, then the mosin a few months after that because memes and it was still cheap back then. During college I was nogunz and those two were stuck at my parents house across the country. Right at the end of my senior year I was living in a shithole apartment and needed something to just have at my place to protect myself so I picked up the Star for cheap, and ended up really liking it. After I got an actual job, I built my AR, which was my first actual nice gun, and was finally able to get my mosin and 10/22 across the country. And recently, I bought the shield, because I’m looking to start carrying and I loved how it felt in my hands when I handled it compared to other handguns.
In the future I’m probably going to pick up some more nice stuff, but I’ll always have a special place in my heart for each of the guns I already own.

It's a good start. He is filling in most roles. Pretty much half of the hasguns on this board have a mosin as their first centerfire rifle. If he had like 15 cheapo guns then I'd agree with you, but I think it's a good start.

I'm a photographer, and I predominantly shoot product photos, I like shooting guns both ways. If you saw a brochure or flyer in your LGS, would anyone pay for professional photographs of their guns, done on the spot and on-site, for sentimental, selling, or insurance purposes? If so, would you care to tell me what you might think is fair per gun for example one high quality photo on a plain background, vs say three photos on different backgrounds with different lighting setups?

Thanks m8. Depends on how much you want to spend. AES10bs are probably the prime RPK, but they’re $1500+. Yugoslavian M72s sell semi regularly for about a grand on AKfiles. Usually kit builds, so just make sure it doesn’t have a shit barrel. Arms of America is selling Romy RPK kits with headspaced barrels for $700 I think. Grab a receiver and send it to a builder and you’d probably be at maybe $1200? Any of those options would be good, but the era of cheap RPKs has passed unfortunately.

My wife's family is pretty anti gun, and when we we lived in a one bedroom apartment before we got our house I'd keep 4 long guns on a rack behind my clothes in the closet, and the rest were broken down and stored under some blankets in an ottoman or under the bed. Handguns went in my nightstand. No one ever found anything.

If it's really an issue, you could get an old takedown shotgun, like a Winchester Model 12 or 1897, a Stevens 520, a Remington Model 10, or the like. Once you cut the barrel down to 20" they're real easy to tuck away. You can find serviceable old shotguns for just a couple hundred bucks at pawn stores. Don't hack up a nice original gun, though.

I think so.
I've yet to use a 762x39 ak that I like anywhere near as much. IMO the vz58 is easily the best 762x39 gun out there, and probably the best overall rifle I've used as a whole. It's size and how the folder stock works makes it my only extremely viable vehicle gun. The fixed stock is extremely comfortable IMO too.
Webm related is how the folder works, drops into place as I raise the gun to my shoulder with zero aid.
If you can, try find one in a gun store to hold first just in case you didn't like it, but I fell in love with it the second I held one. It was something special. I also am a big fan of stripper clips, so you may or may not care about it's ability to speedload 30rd mags, and I just think they're easier to have with me when I'm out trekking around outside than big magazines.

It'll be a great addition to your 762 lineup. I loved my sks to death and the vz58 is just a clear upgrade to it. It kindof melts the best of bother sks/ak worlds together.
Also, in my gun, golden tiger ammo ejects extremely softly compared to some cheaper ammo brands like barnaul. It makes for an extremely tame feeling gun.

5906 is a great choice, they're severely underrated guns.
I think someone might worked mine over when they polished it, because it is buttery smooth. Ever since I picked it up the CZ has been left behind when I go to the range. I fuckin love this thing.

fuck yes Vz 58s (not Vz 2008s) blow AKs out of the water, even the really sweet milled guns like the SAM7 (own and have only shot an SF not the classic) and Polytech Legend (don't own but have shot a friends a bunch).
