Leopard 2A7
But then again I happened to choose the tank of my own country's armed forced, just like everyone else here has a tendency to to.
>that being said I honestly believe it might be the best one out there.

Leopard 1a5. Is simply aesthetic.

Your mom

Tie between the Leopard 1A1A1 with Philips optics, and the Centurion Mk 5/II NL with the 105mm L7.

>totally not biased towards a certain swamp country.

They're just comfy tanks, meant to sit on overwatch. Having a wee chat together with a hot drink of your choosing in heavy downpour while also looking out for potential eastern invaders sounds like the most Jow Forumsino thing in my mind.

dont even try to deny it

The Leopard 2A7 is definitely a good tank and also the tank of my country but I have a problem with the storage of the Ammunition in the tank because a direct hit on the right side in the Ammunition Storage could destroy the tank.
Therefore I think the Russian t-90 has a good solution to the problem by protecting the Ammunition with an internal armor.

I love the aesthetics of the Panther, regardless of it's effectiveness in combat

The T 55

It looks like a stereotype of what a tank is in its very basics.

That is a Leopard 1 that has been used as a test platform to test and explore different camouflage techniques (stealth, IR, visual).

Swedish trials to test the Strv 103 in the event of a couple-kiloton warhead going off right next to it.

I just prefer showing this to people that think the L7 is underpowered and tell them the vehicle moves from all the recoil. Normalfags usually take the bait.

Nope, this is a Leo 1

For me, its the M60 Patton.

Attached: m60_tank1.jpg (600x361, 32K)

Based, shame it couldn't be a little bigger though, but it has essentially become the tank that every other tank will be compared to. If your tank has a feature that's worse than on the T-55, you've done something *really* wrong

Abrams with the woodland camo is aesthetic as fuck. Desert camo is also cool, but isn't as good imo.

Attached: bagdhad_abrams.jpg (3008x1960, 1.19M)

What do Jow Forums think about this from the aesthetic

Attached: pl_01.jpg (600x400, 88K)

>botched marder chassis with added on paper mache.

Whoever thought up "Hey lets put an antenna up on the 2 swords" should have had himself, his family and all his goats raped and killed. FYI: That is being nice about it.

I love stuff that didn't make it.

very few things will ever look as aesthetic as Abrams in the sandbox

Attached: 1410567085087.jpg (2464x1648, 759K)

That isn’t a tank.

The rivets, for one.

Very nice, wasn't this an experimental camo they tried before going with the NATO tricolor?

It wasn't experimental in any regard, the MERDC pattern was fielded for a solid 15 or so years in the mid 70s to up to the late 80s.

One of the neat features of it was to use a lot of black and white stripes to minimize the amount of paint needed to switch from a woodland color to a desert color when time or materials would be a scarcity.

Attached: M901-TOW-latrun-3.jpg (1277x847, 183K)

Why did they choose green patterns for Iraq?

Lack of time, a lot of US troops went to iraq in woodland shit because there were virtually no desert uniforms or desert painted vehicles in US inventory at the time.

"Hey guys, we got a tank with full camo for the environment, how do we make it better?"
"I know, lets toss a huge orange tarp over shit on the top!"
"Brilliant"
I get it in the field. I really do, but fucking come on.

I like older tanks that have been tricked out to serve into modern times. This one in particular has actually done better than the Leopard in Syria.

Type 74 for Aesthetics
With some minor modifications to the turret, namely raising the gun mantlet up a few centimeters and increasing the height of the few by the same, to give it better gun depression and elevation, it'd have been a fine tank.

And in its most infamous day of its relevant career on the Golan Heights, it was let down by Syrian tactical incompetence and hesitancy. Had the Syrians advanced sooner, faster and deeper and took those defensible positions, it may very well have held its own against its rival, the Centurion, that was armed with a gun designed against it.

In fact, in that battle, it certainly wasn't helped by Centurions exploiting high ground and gun depression to get excellent firing angles to help neutralize its armor

Currently, these tanks still serve adequately as gun support

I may not like it though

Question what's Jow Forums's favorite tank, right... The "Good 'ol Pzkpfw VI" is mine. Not for the armor, not for the firepover, not for the actual problems it had and not for it being a almost 80 years old desing, but for the legendery status it has. It was a feared weapon back it's time and any veteran who ever got cross with one will in 99% of the time recognise the sound of it's motor and would get a chills down their spines.

i also like t-90

The tan and blacks look nice, but I'm tilted how they mixed in 2 shades if green in the worst possible way. Feel like they should've stuck to the more olive colored green than the forest green. Eh, I'm no camo expert. Have an Abrams shooting at something, fren.
