Korea, WW2 and Russian civil war got it beat by a lot my dude.
It's close. Only beat out by Chechen war and Rhodesia.
I am implying
Are you fucking stupid
>implying it is aesthetic in the slightest
compared to how artful war used to be as pictured modern warfare cannot hope to come close in the slightest, id even go so far as to say post common usage of firearm wars
this. WW1 was aesthetically superior to every war ever.
>we got BTFO by farmers but we looked good while it happened
Quintessentially American
>tfw no second Russian civil war in 90s
Sad
Fair
>we will never get another war so detached from modern society that normal college age kids revert to an almost tribal state again
IDK man poppy fields are pretty aesthetic
Guy on the left has the ugliest beard I've ever seen that wasn't on a Muslim
>yfw the Revolutionary war was exactly the same thing
You mean the right, right? A normal beard vs a nasty full neck beard and you say the normal beard is ugly?
ACKTUALLY...
the Viet Cong were comprehensively defeated by US forces, which is why the NVA had to take over the war effort and the 1972 and 1975 offensives were conventional armored offensives.
dumping Marines
jesus christ, dude. that's a painting that was done in 2011 of a battle that happened in 1643. if you think that's actually an authentic depiction of what war looked like back then, you're very confused.

This. Soldiers nowadays get more time in the rear, Internet access, video games, and more downtime than even the WW2 guys.
Soldiers in Vietnam were there for 365 consecutive days (+30 days for Marines), and were lucky to receive letters from loved ones, much less a get the privilege of a phone call. Vietnam guys were averaging way more combat days than WW2 infantry soldiers due to the body-count tactics and lack of a front line, as well as fewer men in-country to begin with means more combat for each of them.
being stuck in a fucking jungle never helps, either
>Soldiers nowadays get more time in the rear, Internet access, video games, and more downtime than even the WW2 guys.
More internet time and video games than even WW2? You don't say.
Rhodesia is gay and belong on Facebook. Every time I hear someone say "Rhodie" I dry heave. Brushstroke is a great pattern though.
>implying vietnam war wasn't the most aesthetic war in history
I remain undecided on that, but it's in my top 3 list.
On a side note, why the hell does listening to fortunate son make me want to napalm villages and hose down vc gooks with an m60? It was purposely written as an anti-war song but has the complete opposite effect on me.

Because John Fogherty is a fucking faggot and killing to his music is like doing it out of spite
What's some essential Vietnam kino?
Already seen FMJ, Apocalypse Now, Platoon. Hamburger Hill any good?

Jacobs ladder, deer hunter, casualties of war. House because it’s fucking awesome.
yes
Syria is aesthetic as fuck.
I remember reading the article about how Mark, the proprietor of Mark-1 Plumbing, began getting death threats when these images began showing up. He sold his truck months before and they somehow ended up in Syria without having the decals removed.
Bosnian war (92-95) really does it for me. Something about the grainy analog VHS-quality footage of it is just so aesthetic.
Plus the music:

He sued the shit out of the used car dealership he sold the truck to.
He offered to remove his business decals before giving it to him and they told him they didn't want to because he might hurt the paint job. 6 months later...
I've also rented cars in central America with "Honest Don's Used Cars, Bumfuck, FL" on them. It's not unusual for older used cars to leave the country.
Also imagine being the kind of brainlet who sees plumbing business decals on the door of a truck in a conflict in the third world, then deciding that guy supports ISIS so you better call him and threaten to kill him.
Croat war music = best

Actually it's very realistic looking. You obviously don't read much military history, user. War used to be really nasty back in the day. Dudes fighting today have a cake walk compared to say the world wars and before.
Meanwhile, in the Napoleonic Wars...

Was about to post this, based grenada user
Based Catholic tercios
For me, it's the Troubles. Vietnam suffers from the gooks being hideously unaesthetic in every respect.
They found 5000 of them and a big cache of ammo and when you're an irregular militia you use what you have.
They ran out of 8mm Kurz in 2017 and pictures of fighters with Stg44s stopped popping up.
The invasion of Grenada was pretty cool.
Witnessed. Seriously tho, we should stop all this sandbox fuckery and go invade another Caribbean island.
That is super 6-8. It was damaged by an RPG during the raid, but made it back to base.
It's now in display at the Army Aviation museum in Fort Rucker.
>Implying people didn't already think it was
>That picture
>Vietnam
Based on the gear that's either Grenada or Panama you fuckin loser.
Where are my falklands fanboys at?
Are there any combat reports on the M47 Dragon? Such a shit-tier ATGM.
WW2 for me
