Is this the best handgun ever made?

It looks so damn cool.

Not worth it

Not even by a little bit.

>7k
>doesn't do anything that 9mm doesn't already do
hmm

No

no but at least it's got a really nice finish.

This is the best!

In the era of SBRs what’s the point?
Supposedly this was designed based on criteria from a PMC company that wanted something for drivers and support personnel so they could effectively engage enemy combatants that were 100 meters or closer.
Why not go with short barreled AKs if they wanted short barrel AK like ballistics?
Something like an AR-M4SF would have been PERFECT for drivers/support personnel.

That looks like a LEGO brick

At $7k each, I say hard pass and Honey Badgers for all!

This is the gun Sonny Crockett would carry today

Actually... yeah.
I could see that.

The fit and finish looks amazing. I've seen a couple video breakdowns on it. I have some reservations about their "recoil management system" - I was hoping for something really cool a'la the AK12 or some shit, and instead it's a weight under the barrel that helps reduce muzzle flip and keeps more the recoil in line with your hand, similar to the Hudson H9. I mean, not bad, but I was hoping for something a bit more impressive for 7k dollars.

That said I would love to see one and I'd happily pay an exorbitant range rental fee to shoot one. I think their decision to offer a polymer version with 9mm and 10mm is brilliant. They just ABSOLUTELY have to get their price down. Right now they're only getting into a very small somewhat lucrative market (Handgun guys who are willing to drop 7k on a pistol don't exactly grow on trees) Honestly they should contract out to CZ and sell entry level all steel versions that shoot 7.5FK and only cost $1500, and charge $200 for each additional caliber set. If the round gets a following I would expect to see more people saving up to buy the flagship model.

Not everyone is going to lug around a rifle (even an SBR) everywhere. It's bulky, it's inconvenient. Drivers and support personnel are notorious for leaving their guns in the truck (or worse). The 7.5 FK could be a mandatory WORN item. Add a USW chassis from B&T and it would be something that, while I wouldn't LIKE to go toe to toe against an opponent armed with a rifle.. I also wouldn't feel hopelessly outgunned if I had to. The other gun I would consider for that role would be HK's MP7 - but that's optimized for opponents wearing armor.

It's a nice gun but seriously what the hell is the target market? The only thing it can do is pistol hunting, which you don't need to spend 7k for.

Needs a stock to be any better than other pistols IMO. A semi-auto MAC clone with a stock would be more useful

Yea, like I said add the B&T USW chassis to it and it's pretty good to go.

a 6" long SBR that weighs < 4 pounds that you can strap to your hip/chest with the cartridge power roughly equivalent to an AK.

>FK BRNO
the fuck did Bruno do to you?

BRNO KNWS WHT H DD

Is that a Maserati?

>$1k
Still not worth it

I might consider getting on at that price point.
But ammo needs to become more available

I’ll just take one of pic related please.

i rented one of those once. they're neato

The BRNO decided not to compete with other pistols by entering the market as a sort of niche product. That does guarantee some shielding from the rest of the market. They have another new gun coming out that is more affordable, if I recall.

>no ragrets upside down
>using the rails for an optic to mount a fucking 40
>rmr cut
>it even has a race barrel
why is this the best thing ever

They announced polymer lowers in more common calibers for like 2k a week or so ago. Still dunno if it's worth it.

Its functionally worse in every way then a glock 40

2k less and you get an actual valuable gun

>PMC company wants a personal defence weapon for support personnel
>Buys a several thousand dollar super pistol instead of just buying any number of commercially available pistols or smgs
On one hand this backstory reeks of bullshit, on the other hand PMCs aren't exactly known for making good decisions.

It does a few things that 9mm doesnt do, it doesnt have anything on 10mm though

It can produce over 800 ft lbs of energy (so can 10mm)

It can chuck projectiles at over 2000 fps (so can 9mm barely, but 10mm can go up to 2600 fps)

It's not even good for handgun hunting. For anything other than small game, you want either a large bullet going slow or a large bullet going fast. A small bullet going very fast like the BRNO's is going to get insufficient penetration on anything that's actually worth taking.

They put out requirements for a new weapon. They ended up finishing up whatever contract they had before BRNO finished development.

Ask me how I know you've never actually looked at the 7.5 FK's ballistics.

It's a nice gun and outside of those fuuucking ugly orange grips it's quite aesthetically pleasing, but the price point is above and beyond ridiculous, you could get multiple longarms and hundreds of rounds of ammo for the same cost, or more handguns than you could easily carry on your person. Even if it's round has great ballistic performance it's not that much more lethal than any other handgun to the point where I'd be willing to drop so much cash on it.

>All those shitty pastels
The shittiest Krylon rattle-can job would be in improvement.

>then a Glock 40
>then
then the Glock 40 did what?

Can it reliably hit a man sized target within 100 yards without a ridiculous length barrel?

No, the ridiculous length barrel comes standard.

If it didn't look like the bastard hatefuck child of a poly EAA witness and a Hudson and lacked the stratosphere bore axis then maybe I would get a discounted one.

Fuck if I know, I'll never pay that amount for a firearm.

this
do go on
