Thanks. I get the dislike, the security 9 is mediocre. Even though she's a budget gun, I stand by her. So far I've only had problems with good old fashioned Winchester white box. I wanted a reliable but replaceable bedside wonder 9, and im a bit of a ruger fan. I dont regret the purchase, but a polymer80 is in my future.

It's pretty fun as a handy little brush gun. Surprisingly accurate, too, I regularly manage ~2 MOA with Malaysian surplus. I bought it mostly to compliment my PTR but it ended up being my favorite (and eventually only) bolt action. If you like milsurp but also like shooting your guns, I couldn't recommend one more.

I assume you mean the P22 not the TPH. It's alright. I'd probably complain more if it were the older one which could crack it's slide or peen metal. Main complaint is how quickly it gums up when shot suppressed but other than that it's actually pretty good. Decent sights, good trigger, small but well shaped grip. In the low-mid $200s I'd recommend it, but not if it's close to or over $300 that's too much imo.

The difference is really apparent visually, this is what the older ones look like pic related. The one in my pic is technically called the "P22Q." It was Walther's (Umarex's) redesign to remedy the possibility of the thin zinc slides cracking and galling/peening. The P22Q can still gall/peen a little where the trigger bar rides on the bottom of the slide but not as bad as before, and the P22Q slide is way thicker than the older P22 so they don't crack anymore.
