got my PRI douglas barrel with aem collar and brake, what BCG should i pair it with to stay sub moa?

psa or radical arms

My man. How you like it? Haven't been able to really run mine yet.

Maybe that 10.3” urg-i is ok after all.

I think I might build a pistol AR. If I buy an 8" upper without getting a lower and while also owning a 16" AR, will I be murdered by the ATF?

I regularly shoot a nostamp 10.5 at public ranges. Youll be fine

Hi Jow Forums,

Looking to get a new AR-15. Last one I bought was a Daniel Defense MK18 and I'm really wanting to stay with the AR-15 Pistol family.

Which one should I get? Knight's Armament or anything else? Looking at 11.5" - 14" Barrel for that tacticool feeling.

Babbys first AR.

At least with KAC you don't have to worry about it being ludicrously overgassed, nor do you have to spend extra money swapping out a bunch of hideous OEM furniture or Kryloning over tasteless lazer engravings.
I say do it.

No, but your dog might (if the ATF is already raiding you for some other reason)
The ATF can't even muster enough pencil pushers to do a glorified NICS check in less than 7-8 months, do you really think they have ninjas hiding in the bushes outside your house waiting for you to possess a short upper without a corresponding pistol/SBR lower?

There's two KAC versions, one with 11.5 and one with 14.5. Would putting an ACOG on either be a total meme? I'm leaning more towards the 14.5

Depends on the ACOG; 4x is only good for M4 clones, but the 1.5x and 3x are really nice.

Okay, but putting it on a 14.5" barrel length won't be retarded right?

>4x is only good for M4 clones
Wrong

$2500 is too much for a shorty. That's just dumb. Just get a shorter upper.

No, go for it

The FBI does the background checks new friend

So does anyone make a BDC that is for a 16" bbl and 55g or 62g?

Lol, I saw that yesterday.

They're both really cool dudes

I'd toss a LPVO on an 11.5

>bdc
Zero at 36 yards and you can hold dead on out too 300

Get a mil or moa ranging recticle.
Even if you end up with bdc, do yourself a favor and map out the trajectory of all the loads you like with a ballistic calc under normal local conditions and get used to it. Never know what youre going to find yourself using 10 years from now.
Even cheaper optics often times have MOA mapped out between each hash in the recticle on their website. Print it out, print out your ballistic calc findings, tape a cheat sheet to the side of the optic, and practice on one load. Youll get used to it.

Cheat sheets taped inside of lens caps is a better solution

The difference between that and whatever the BDC is actually calibrated for is going to be less than the thickness of the hash marks.
Don't worry about it.

Talk me out of getting a binary trigger pls

>36 yards
Fuck off pinniped.
>mil or moa ranging recticle
I have a few. I was just wondering if any were designed around a 16" barrel and not a 24"'s ballistics.
Yeah.

It's over $100 more than a full-price Geissele SSA-E and objectively worse at everything except mouthbreathing "hurr fug the ATF" shenanigans.
Just git gud at running a normal trigger.

Buy one and face the consequences of your own stupidity, it's the only way you'll learn.

Attached: 1509675269195.png (215x234, 8K)

If you have the cash to burn and like telling the ATF to suck your nuts, it's a cool toy. But try a Trigger Tech, especially the meme worthy BAD edition, and you'll never want another trigger again. It's completely on par with, if not SLIGHTLY better than my high end 1911 trigger.

They're fucking trash and they're gimmicks.

Just get a Geissele

What slings do you fags run on your ARs?

>run

If you get one make sure you have Burst or something on your lower for maximum larping. I want one just to fuck around with but fuck that price. t. Poorfag

Blue force gear vickers 221 sling, probably the best sling I've used.

get one 2ndhand from someone who learned from his mistake

Why is the light lower than than barrel?

What grain bullet should I be shooting out of a 16" 1:7 twist barrel?

All of the cheap wolf and tula is in 55gr, will I be ok with that?

You'll be fine
Ideally you should shoot 62-77 grain out of 1:7 but it really isn't a huge deal unless you are going for groups

so what's so special about it

I personally shoot a lot of wolf 55gr out of my 1:7

I larp as Chris Costa on the weekends.

Material quality, stitching, quality of the QD swivels that come with it. There's definitely cheaper slings you can use being a weekend warrior however.

Looks good with the gray sba3 now. Do you have a can for that cherry bomb?

Attached: IMG_8568.jpg (2400x1373, 2.34M)

Do parts wear out faster when shooting 220 grain, blk w/ suppresor?
People told me that heavier bumpers make cycling more quieter and reliable, but i can't say that there were many problems and barrel is cleaner than 223 ar with same amount of rounds shot.
Does barrel length contribute as well?
would 11 inch be less likely to fail/have malfunctions than 9?
Lastly how many rounds can 762. suppresor take before it can break/lose effectivness.

Don't listen to these jealous poorfags. Buy the bfs flat trigger. I own both and the flat trigger has almost zero take up and a rather crisp break. As a semi auto trigger, it is quite nice by itself. Plus, mag dumps never get old. And don't let any of these poors with their PSA shit tell you that you can hit 650rpm with enough practice. These fucks are poor and thus have no reason to be so arrogant. Flex on them hard my nigga.

Non usmc best kac

>flexing with binary
>doesnt even have a selectfire lower

>making fun of the atf is mouthbreathing
faggot

binary triggers are richfag bump stocks

>Lastly how many rounds can 762. suppresor take before it can break/lose effectivness.
This depends a lot on your firing schedule and weapon config. I've eroded the baffles on an inconel can before because it was on a very short 5.56 with flash hider that was shot very quickly. But I also have a TI can that has been around a lot longer and is looking very clean inside still.

In an 8-11" 300blk firing mostly subs? The can will outlast your barrel and many other key components of your rifle.

The boomer fuck on arfcom lied about the acogs age. It was made in 2002.

Just buiwt dis wifle for my uwu anime girlfwiend (nongender binary)
Did I do good, arg? I'll ùwú if you say no hehe

>all those chromatic abberations
Did you replace your lens with a fishtank?

so you have a 17 yeard old acog? OOF that shits going to die any day now, he took you for a ride

Oh well it was $440. $340 if I dont count the $100 I made off of the comp m2 I sold to buy it.

As long as the glass and fiber are in good shape, that's a great deal.
The tritium barely matters except under extremely marginal lighting conditions, and if it matters that much you can have Trijicon recharge it and still be in it less than half the price of a new one.

>fiber
>ta01
Lol no. I did ask how much a tritium replacement will be. Just waiting for a reply. If its like $300 Ill most likely do it.

his acog doesnt have the fiber optic though, he paid 340 for a paper weight and he sends it out to get fixed he would suffer a bigger loss

oh, that sucks

the price I usually see quoted is like $265, good luck

Oh well. At least my $50 non usmc marked rear is here.

Attached: 20190401_152757-1-1.jpg (1678x2175, 2.38M)

>for a paper weight
Who even really uses acogs at night anyway? Thats what night vision is for.

>tripfags unironically like the new "like" feature because it's another avenue for attention and it makes it more like reddit which they unironically use and post their guns on for even more attention
man summer sure is coming early this year

>old style logo placement
>that finish
you got a fake one

You don't have any night vision

gookmoot should have just given us a dislike button.

Stop posting Ash. You're a fucking idiot and you've been scammed.

I think you're taking their posts a little too seriously, user.

Stop buying black plastic.

sure

>You're a fucking idiot and you've been scammed
I dont feel like Ive been scammed. The tritium is still decently bright and the optic works.

Attached: IMG_6988_jpg-887142.jpg (675x900, 97K)

That would've been funny, at least.

Look at the finish on it and compare to the purpole that is on yours
That picture is also of one of the early 2000s sights where the logo was uptop
Now they are on the sides and are almost a black nitride finish.

Block 2 for life baby

>trash wastes his money on ta01 almost as old as him
>sends it in and is now out as much as a ta31 would have cost
Pottery

ISIS approved.

>I dont feel like Ive been scammed
Bro, you traded your 1-4x for an ACOG that is nearly 20 years old.
>The tritium is still decently bright
No, it's not. Besides, it's fucking Amber. Just admit you fucked up.

>Look at the finish on it and compare to the purpole that is on yours
oh so all of the purple kac rails must be fake also.

No but the finish on your 600m is incorrect for that logo placement. It would be like a block 1 with a peq15

>he doesn't know that deep down tripfags unironically like the feature and wish it would stay

Gotta get that high score

he was definitely scammed, his only saving grace is scamming some dumb motherfucker and getting rid of the ACOG before it dies, even if he sends it in to get fixed, you have to pay shipping + insurance and the cost to repair it

Local guy is selling a DPMS Oracle for 400. I've been wanting to get into ARs for a while but wanted to start out in the budget tier. /brg/ mostly likes their .308 guns, how is their 5.56?

I have a 10.5 with a 1-4 on it, I love it.

Mmm that's nice
