I'm too stupid to use the 10/22's sights

Attached: 10_22's.jpg (5176x2436, 2.05M)

They're pretty bad. Im going to get some tech sights, eventually.

They’re completely adequate.

What gun?

Yea foreal wat gun. I have a fetish for top break revolvers

>tfw broken hammer pivot on H&R199
Need a microwelder

Nevermind google told be, h&r 999 i think

I don't know. For being so small they seem busy. I wish they were just plain no frills peep sights

H&R999 or another x99 from them. An elegant weapon from a more civilized era.

How do these compare in terms of quality and accuracy to Smith K-22s?

Thinking of getting a heritage rough rider. Are there any othet 22 revolvers with a similar price point and better quality or is this the best I'm gonna get for hi point pricing?

Does anyone have decibel readings for CCI Quiets from a 16" semi auto?
I can actually get my Umarex M4 carbine to run fairly reliably if I adjust the action spring just right.

Someone tell me why I shouldn't buy the Walther Uzi.

They're fun little plinkers. Can't really go wrong.

Yes

Daily reminder that nodak spud sights are superior to tech sights in every way. Even get a rail, my 10/22 with nodak spud sights and a vortex crossfire is 1/3 co witnessed.

hey whats the consensus on weatherby mark xxii's. I got the tube fed version and never see it mentioned outside of old forum post from like 2002.

Holy shit 22LR is such a shit caliber. Airsoft tier. Only bought one for the females I bring shooting.

I got myself one of the Chiappa single actions, 4/10 at best, the timing was awful and I could hardly get 30 rounds through it before it would start shearing rounds. Still, it's hard to hate a .22 you don't need mags for

got this thursday, meant to go shoot today but im so busy :l

I miss my H&R from time to time.

Anyone else really into 22 conversions? The CZ one I think is the best on the market, though I've heard the Beretta 92 ones are very good too.

Attached: 22 conversion.jpg (3901x2331, 499K)

Neat-o. I regret not buying the threaded model when I got my 22/45. I might try and sell and get one down the line though. Are you going to shoot it suppressed?

hello noguns
im not hating or anything tho
why dont you have guns?
wanna talk about it?

yea eventually

I want to build a 7.5" ar pistol and drop a 22lr bcg with a folding buffer. 5.56 for home defense, 22lr for plinking. What's the downside?

Have you tried marlin model 60?

Are those even fun for plinking?

Went shooting today.

It's a good starting point though. I had a friend who constantly shot himself in the head with .22 to build up a tolerance and he's been doing it so long he is immune to 5.56, you should try it some time

I’ve shot a lot of .22s, but nothing has come close to the CZ trainer I picked up. Nastily accurate for 300 bucks. Pretty sure it’ll outshoot my savage BTV once I get glass for it.

thanks for the heads up

can someone redpill me on a .22lr ruger lcr as a self defense gun?

Attached: 1553831308625.jpg (579x728, 41K)

I don't think .22lr was ever intended for use on game as large as most people.

The Walther P22 is known to be a brittle zinc toy though. I doubt it was the ammo's fault.

Is there a reason Calico's were DOA?

My Ruger MkIV is an unreliable POS

Were there reliability problems, or were they just not "traditional" enough?

Attached: 25701923_1.jpg (1024x375, 21K)

They started to pick up speed in the 90s, but the nontraditional design plus the AWB crippled them. Calico is still around today though. As for the m100 itself, it's reliable, but only runs 100% with really hot copper jacket ammo. It will choke on under powered or bare lead 22lr

I can tell you from experience with my 10/22 that you can safely shoot Quiets without protection

not that user, but i feel like im using cheat codes when i shoot my glenfield 60 50+ yards hitting soda cans

8 shot capacity in an incredibly small and light wheelgat
If you can shoot it accurately and maintain the ability to do so under pressure then that aint bad, 22lr gets shat on a lot but it still is a viable cartridge with good shot placement
Also cheap to stay well stocked on ammo

Savage 1914?

Sorry, don't have good pics of mine

Attached: IMG_4467.jpg (2749x2297, 1.55M)

Fairly rare bird the, a Winchester Model 150. Few made from 1967-1974. Kinda a cool style, but gawd how I hated the trigger on mine!

Hi-Standard Sentinel gives you an extra round, and this snubby boi is C&R-able as well

Attached: IMG_0554.jpg (3648x2736, 1.92M)

Rough Riders are pretty much disposable potmetal guns. If the idea of $150 being disposable doesn't sit right with you, then you might want to save up for a Single-Six.

>Is there a reason Calico's were DOA?
AWB was rolled out just as they picked up speed, which obviously was *extremely* bad for their business, their selling point being 9mm and .22 caliber pistols and rifles with 50 and 100 round magazines.. Company's still around though.

This, like most .22 automatics, they don't like no Remshit Thunderfarts, but the helical mags are also like a drum magazine, and need the appropriate winding.
Also after a few mags, you've actually blown through a lot of .22, so consider stopping for some quick cleaning.

For that matter, the 9mm ones will want something heavier than 115gr, and usually hotter than most low powered target loads.

Attached: calico22pistol.png (1024x1124, 811K)

I have a dead air mask, I was wondering if anyone had readings for shooting them in semi auto.

Justgot mine today. Sighting them in to.orrow

It’s better than nothing. Trigger is extremely heavy in order for hammer soring to be strong enough to set off rimfire rounds. That could be an issue if you are wanting it because of lack of strength for normal recoil, etc.
Other than the trigger, if you load it with some decent .22lr ammo (like velocitor hollow points) it wouldn’t be the worst choice.
The 22 magnum might not be bad option either, again depending on why you aren’t getting a .38 or any of the cheap, small and light 9mm options.

what does Jow Forums think about pic related?
I'm looking for a first purchase to plink at the range. I'm an audio person, and .22 is easier on the ears. But I still want something nice and I enjoy a steep learning curve.

A LCR in .22LR, even .22WMR, would not be my suggestion for a carry gun.
Out of rifle length barrels, those calibers can actually be reasonably potent (especially .22WMR), but out of a little snubby barrel, they really don't build up very impressive speed (.22WMR can be had with actual jacketed bullets, and would have a bit more velocity, but it's also very flashy out of short barrels).

A live firearm is better than a sharp stick, there's certainly the intimidation factor, but if things actually escalate, I would not feel very confident with a tiny .22 revolver.
I would recommend to step up to a centerfire cartridge.

>no takers
Does anyone like the PMR-30? Any other recommendations for a .22 competition pistol with a threaded barrel?

If money is no object, Volquartsen Scorpion.

finally got that KGP 69

Attached: WIN_20190407_02_34_04_Pro.jpg (1280x720, 87K)

I'd go with a Ruger Mark IV, just for reliability, very easy field strip, aesthetics (in my view) and a pretty good price point ($300 to $400 or so).

Kel-Tecs have interesting ideas, but often sub-par execution and spotty QC.

My rimfire gats so far.
Next up is a Henry mare's leg in .22lr, and a stainless NAA mini revolver with rosewood grips in .22lr.

>doubt it was ammo
>ruptured case
You are wrong. I ran all sorts of analysis on this case.

.22 is life, .22 is love

Buy a 19th-century military revolver, and its either in a caliber that is super-obscure/expensive that might require reloading.

Or get one converted to .22 you can shoot all day for less than a cylinder full of the original ammo.

Its a no-brainer

>very easy field strip.
Fucking thing is literally a Swiss watch

the mk4s are literally push a button and detach.

I don't think you know what literally means.

Not a huge fan of how the Standard looks, but the Mark IV Target gives me a stiffy

Not the exact one I have but PiC related

All I have in .22 LR are an old bolt action rifle that was my dad's when he was a kid and this little Ruger I picked up yesterday.

how do you like it? heard they have plastic buffer piece that can break

Attached: SR22pewpew.jpg (1000x667, 271K)

Are CCI Minimags best for .22 semiautos?

I wanna get me a nice 22 wheelgun but I want it to last.
Problem is I don't wanna pay an arm and leg for the piece either.
Heritage Rough Rider seems ok just for playing with but in the long run they all seem to develop problems

Any recommendations Jow Forums?
Preferably new.
I don't want to spend money on an antique that I have to treat gingerly.

I think they're the cat's pajamas.

this is very good

what do you have attaching that brace? does the muzzle device actually do anything noticeable? do you have an aftermarket trigger in there? i was thinking about doing the same thing with a charger but probably minus a bipod
