is that dude like super fat or am I seeing things?

I do not think that he is super fat. I think that he is fat - and that his fattitude is accentuated by his poorfag Body Armor Megastore flat ballistic fiberglass plate.

It's his dangler pouch or roid gut

Sounds like was a bit more thorough than I. I basically eyeballed it for both sides, pic related is how it looked when I purchased it, I basically just enlarged the stock ear cut out areas
I used a Dremel with a diamond cutting disc, then a sanding ball to smooth the edges.

The normal 3 hole shroud isn’t that bad as long as you get on in good condition that still hods arms tight

is this good?
they're having a Store Closing sale and this shit is stupid discounted
I'm thinking pic related but I'm moving to Dallas and IDK if that's good for the area there. they only have the desert and black colors

Attached: Grizzley Standard Tactical issue Vest.jpg (640x640, 56K)

No, it’s a shit replica of the FSBE AAV
real ones go for $600+ and unless you’re an autistic collector, or bbgunner with more money than sense you can get far better vests for much cheaper.

They’re outdated and laughably uncomfortable, I’ve had three of them

I guess it’s worth mentioning that the only one that’s really worth anything is the woodland one.

well thanks for saving my ass a bunch of money
thankful i asked here

Attached: ed thumbs up.jpg (532x582, 17K)

Keep an eye out in a week or two when I get done with mine, all the parts are in the mail. I'm trying to replicate your old one, the black one, and I got a woodland cover for it too. I'll post it when its all done. Thanks for the info

Is there a good belt system that works for edc but also can double as a war/battle belt? Just needs to be sturdy enough to hold a couple rifle mags, a med kit, and maybe a dump pouch on the wasr belt set up, pistol with a couple mags on edc set up.

Speaking of medkit, Bunkbed, do you have a pastebin for your ifak items? Thanks in advance

raptor tactical makes a leather cover

I hate asking you larping faggots anything but I have assembled all my original gear from deployment for nostalgia and I want to mount it on the wall. Any ideas?

try mounting it in a wall case like a sports jersey, maybe have a recess in the wall for a helmet

It would be far too heavy I think. Whole kit is 40lbs even with fake SAPIs

Set it up on a dummy, dummy.

I'd prefer wall mount if possible looks more professional

instead of having all the kit just have the bare pc

Any other recommendations? I don't really like leather belts.

There's the one garandthumb makes
Leather belts look less autistic so that's why they're recommended for edc

I'll check it out, thanks user. Ask I have is a D3 chest rig so I want to get more gear for larping and goofing off when camping.

Found a sonic 3 helmet (pic related), a used one for a poorfag price on ebay but the first look on google isn't promise. Maybe someone here has first hand experience with such helmet.

They make hangers for carriers

so you want the benefit of having a professional display despite you not understanding what a professional display is or how to do it?

how's your wife's kids?

I remember there being a question from last thread about airways:

So expediaent airways like a king LT or any of the other myriad of bits and pieces like that are reserved for the evac vehicle because I’ll have an extra BVM/Vent/Succ, scopes, and another pair of hands to help. My practice does tend toward massive hemorrhage as my main problem to fix, yes. Flushed are good for a number of things, not just suspending meds or making kool-aid.
If someone is out so hard they’re beyond additional K/V to keep them out, they’re getting a cric and they’re buddy gets to squeeze the bag

I have an IFAK Guide; I’ll post it when I’m near a computer. Drop a burner if you have specific questions, I’ll email you.
A naval-flag sized shadow box where you lay everything out tastefully and tack it up. You’re gonna want to hang it from struts if you want it 3D.

Nothing specific, just wanted the list of stuff. I'll keep an eye out in the thread for it, thanks.

Don't let these faggots chap tour ass. Get one of these for the armor:
>ebay.com/itm/UK-Super-BC-Hangers/202179369780?hash=item2f12d45b34:g:1wIAAOSw~3paU6zS&frcectupt=true
Get a wall hook from the hardware store for the wall and hang the hanger on the hook. Snap the chinstrap for the helmet around the hook of the hanger and the helmet will sit right at the top of the armor.

Does /gq/ have a belt with a cobra buckle? Looking to get one, wanted to get some input on cobra buckles as opposed to other buckles

Attached: csb.jpg (1200x870, 786K)

i don't like this new iteration of multicum

cobra buckle is best buckle

They are rated to like 3,000lbs, and people who paraglide use them for their harness. It is super over kill for carrying a pistol and some mags. I like mine.

Where to get holsters for weirdass gun/light combos?
I have p220 with a steiner sbal-pl.
Yes light because it doubles as my HD gun when I'm not larping and the sbal isn't qd.

One of y'all oughta pastebin this or take screenshots at least - I'm not going to be around forever.
Listen up, niggers, we’re gonna do a crash course.
Pic related, the basic components of an IFAK.

First Item: CAT generation 7 tourniquet
Primary intervention for extremity hemorrhages. You see blood on a limb while the shit is actively hitting the fan, you slap a tq high and tight, you’ll make the call on whether or not it’s necessary to stabilize the casualty when the shit has stopped hitting the fan enough to make detailed assessments.

I recommend completely unlooping the strap and folding it on top of the windlass in order to avoid having to “lasso” a mangled limb. When I first learned, it was the opposite but time and experience rule. However you can get fast, get fast.

Chest seal
For penetrating trauma where air inside matters.
Self adhesive material seals both entry and exit wounds. Anything completely sealed will do, so long as it can cover a hole without passing air. Some will have one way valves for allowing air out but not in. Old SOPs had three sides taped down to make a flutter valve. Longitudinal studies state increased survivability when all 4 are taped down. We will cover how to get air out of a cavity soon.

Chest wounds like to froth and bubble so use the enclosed gauze to make a clean surface to stick to. Try to stick on exhale but do not delay application if the casualty doesn’t seem to want to exhale. That’s a bigger problem that requires more than the IFAK can provide.

Attached: chestseal.jpg (4032x3024, 2.58M)

Cont’d
NCD
The way to let air out of where it shouldn’t be. Called for once the holes are covered and the casualty shows signs of progressive respiratory distress. A 14g catheter with a sharp ass needle. SOP still dictates that the primary application site is between the second and third rib (right over the third rib) of the affected side, mid-clavicular (nipple line) Secondary: between the fourth and fifth rib, lateral application.

To use: put the pointy part at the primary or secondary site, 90 degrees to the surface, and push. Remove the needle, leave the catheter. Listen for escaping air and see if the casualty breathes easier.

Studies conclude that the secondary site is generally safer than the primary but depends on the nature and location of the injury. When treating at the primary site, ensure you don’t fuck up and hit the cardiac box.

Attached: NCD.jpg (4032x3024, 2.85M)

Howdy fellas, I posted in the last /gq/ thread -- I lost 135lb recently and have been interested in becoming a gearqueer operator.

I said I wanted a decent beginner's setup for fauxperator innawoods shit, and looking to spend about 500 to 1000 buckerboos.

Armored or unarmored doesn't really matter.

Cont’d
But oh no, you don’t have any SPEAR’s and you want to show off how high speed you are by manually varying pressure with a one-way valve.

Attach a no-needle saline lock to the cath, attach a stripped syringe when you need air to come out, take off the stripped syringe when you need it closed. This will not substitute cleaning or reapplying NCD’s but it will keep air moving or not depending on necessity.

Combat Gauze
Z-folded gauze, impregnated with Kaolin, blue line that shows up on advanced imaging
Compressed gauze
Gauze. No hemostatic agent. Not *technically x-ray detectable

Both are shoved into wounds that do not have organs spilling out of them or have hollow organs behind them. Packing a wound requires 2 extremely important components: identifying the source of the bleed and constant pressure.

The axillary (armpit) and inguinal (gooch) areas as well as neck, shoulders, and other *non-compressible hemorrhages bleed because either a vein (slow, dark ooze) or an artery (bright red, spurting) has been nicked. Stuffing in gauze will not be effective unless you can identify what part of the hole is bleeding. Wipe the hole with some gauze. Look for where the blood pools back up from. Use a finger to put some gauze directly into it and “replace” that finger with another, feeding the gauze into the hole on top of the bleed. Continue until you can start comfortably filling the hole by feeding gauze in a “star pattern”. Never let up the pressure. Once the gauze is piled up out of the hole, continue to hold pressure for 3-5 minutes. Do not let up on the pressure. Put all of your weight on it. Practice by getting into the push-up position and placing one hand on top of the other. Stay like that as long as you can. Do better next time.

Pressure dressing. ETB. Israeli Bandage
Once 3-5 minutes has passed, have someone else hold pressure while you get the dressing ready. Place the white part over the gauze or non-threatening hemorrhage and ensure the U-shaped pressure bar over the wound. Hold the slack tight, never let it unfurl all the way until you finish wrapping to the alligator clip. Wrap the slack through the pressure bar once or twice then continue wrapping over the pressure bar. Ensure you pull tight enough to turn the green wrap a shiny grey. Continue wrapping until you can use the alligator clip. Candy-cane tape it down, from skin to skin because it’s going to come undone.

I love you too, fella

Should be sized to the casualty. Used when casualty is unresponsive or when positional (head tilt, chin lift) airway correction doesn’t work or is impossible. Not to be used when there’s trauma to the area. Get training - You’ll know. Check size before insertion by measuring from the earlobe to the jawline. Lubricate the device. Pig-nose the casualty to make a straight shot. Place the bevel (sharp side) to the septum (center divider) and insert into the right nostril. Push and gently twist so the curve faces down. If at first you don’t succeed, try the other hole. Hilt it.

Good stuff, but dog eared gorilla tape was my go to.
I used gorilla tape in place of medic tape, in Iraq there was so much dirt, sweat and blood, you want something that’ll stick no matter fucking what.

>t. combat medic

You know you want it.
Haley/Mayflower for well thought out and pre-built chest rigs that will integrate well on just about any decent plate carrier you decide to buy or will look great strapped over a legacy soft vest for that classic contractor look.

Otherwise look into Tactical Tailor and start building with those and surplus Eagle Industries or RLCS/SFLCS Systems.

i must have the wrong gorilla tape, mine doesn't hold for shit

I played with frogtape for awhile but the good micropore with the extra sticky shit is primo

Alternatively go full /gq/ and put everything on a Crye or a Mayflower. You could go so far as to watch a bunch of those FirstSpear YouTube videos and start cutting the sleeves off your FRACU’s because you’re not afraid of getting blown up anymore.

My leadership had these hangar stand things they displayed their gear on in their offices. No idea what theyre called but look up armor stand maybe?

What do you queers look for in a holster? Also what do you bros think about the current market?

You took the liberty to post everything about your IFAK, so I figured I would take the liberty to take screenies. Not sure how this will look on Jow Forums but I just put them all together on paint.

Turned out bretty good

I appreciate what you've done, but don't forget the Eye Shield and the TCCC card. I'll get to it eventually but good job

Putting together an ideal ATF door-to-door gun conf kit for larping. Any ideas?. Im talking realism.

An ATF hat and a pupper corpse

Attached: IMG_5312.jpg (3020x2720, 3.75M)

This is my poorfag loadout. To all the poorfags out there, this is basically bare minimum, and really doesn't cost much.

Don't forget to wear your battle rattle at all times including when you're getting lunch at a tablecloth restaurant and shit. Otherwise, fellow feds might not believe you are actually ATF.

What’s in the GPS Pouch on the belt?

Much obliged guys.

Random ifak shit until I follow your guide and get the proper equipment. Got ace wraps, gauze, tape, and scissors so far. Should run to the store with a list next free day. Actually should of "borrowed" next to all of that stuff from the previous contract I was at..

Take what you can; give nothing back

What value is there in packing a booboo box alongside your IFAK? Any recommendations for basic first aid contents? Neosporin, bandaids, and gauze+tape I imagine.

A gfak is good for a lot of things. Big/shaped band aids, bacitracin, alcohol/iodine wipes, moleskin and maybe some minor meds.

So I bought a hat in chocolate chip cookie camo and the only problem is it has a cringey rubber logo on it. Any tips on how to remove the logo off the hat?

Post pics

I tried rubbing alcohol but it seems to not do much

Attached: 20190409_185703.jpg (5312x2988, 3.45M)

1: I don’t understand why you want that gone
2: wail till it dries and use a heat gun/blow dryer to peel it off the alcohol is more likely to hurt the fabric. Google it you chode

The gay desert storm logo. Its some sort of rubber.

Ibuprofen is the way to go right? You don't want a blood thinner like aspirin unless you are hiking with someone that has a heart condition? What about more heavy duty painkillers or antibiotics? Assuming you have a prescription or it is legal in your state is there any value in packing some pot concentrates/kratom/vicuprofen just in case you or someone else breaks their arm or ankle and has to hike out regardless? All applicable state/federal laws being followed of course. How about antibiotics? I keep a ten day cycle of Cipro just in case but unless it's a bugout scenario I don't really see the point of carrying it innawoods unless the situation was drastic.

I ruined the hat using citristrip

Any solvent that is likely to peel off that logo will likely damage the plastics in that trucker's cap. You're likely best off with a light abrasive and some low heat.

That was me.
If you are doing a field cric though you shoulda dropped a bougie 4 minutes ago. Fuck field cric's for SO many reasons. I guess I just don't understand having no advanced airway stuff but having some of the other stuff you have. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

It was a faux pas on civvie side paramedic/CCT but when other factors combine - like humping your shit through trashcanistan mountains, etc you start to weigh shit different. I would love to have blood products that aren’t freeze-dried and special K that I don’t have to put in a miniature pelican case but them’s the breaks.
Fuck field crics but fuck carrying a scope through Kabul even more.

Further question, I've got basic Red Cross first aid and CPR training plus defibrillator (those things are built for retards, so that doesn't count for much) but what other kind of publicly available training is there? A friend mentioned some civil emergencies type thing where you can get basic emergency first aid training for free from FEMA or your county but I'm more interested in training for gun shots/shrapnel/burns. Any recommendations?

Wide spectrum antibiotics can be a thing but purifying your water and not eating the wild berries is a better thing.
I’m talking more comfort meds. Sure naproxen, ibuprofen, whatever NSAIDS, some acetaminophen and caffeine for headaches and minor fevers, prescription meds prescribed to the person, etc.
Diphenhydramine, Claritin, allergy stuff, an epi pen if someone needs one.
I don’t recommend carrying borderline substances and I have never seen someone so pot-high they forgot about their broken bone. Narcos, benzos, etc all have secondary effects that are likely to make your situation worse. I know it was fun to throw back some vics and cheap beer and get back on your dirt bike but that’s a terrible way to hike out on a fucked up joint.

There is a program called “stop the bleed” which is basically a rock-simple CUF with expensive kits. They’re good if you can get them free, otherwise look into EMS at your local JC or just for funsies classes volunteering at your FD.

I have no experience nor desire to have any experience riding a motorcycle while inebriated or any such related dumbfuckery and I appreciate your straight talk. Simply put, morphine drips aren't really available to the average Joe interested in SHTF/combat first aid but I figured it was worth asking if alternatives could be useful.

>What value is there in packing a booboo box alongside your IFAK?
It does not need to clutter your fighting gear. Stash it in the ruck - unless it's itty bitty like an ouch pouch. Stow lots of H bandages. They can be cut into straight bandages if needed, but nothing subs for an H. I am partial to Coverlet, but that's just me. Neosporin is a soggy mess for the field. Iodine helps to keep a wound dry. You can use it for about ten days before it really attacks the tissue. If I need to manage a wound long-term then I switch back and forth with Petrolatum after four days. If you are in a pinch, then a wound can be disinfected by soaking in strong brine. Also, stash some Butterflies.

Thanks, I don't delude myself into believing that a class a year will make me Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman but I would like to be more than useless in the eventuality that one of my loved ones or myself is seriously injured or otherwise experiencing a medical emergency, at least until they can be in the hands of a qualified professional.

I just posted but I forgot: pack Aspirin for recovery from dehydration along with your electrolytes.

Out of curiosity, what beneficial effect does Aspiring have on dehydration or rather rehydration? Does it have something to do with it's action as a blood thinner?

>that’s a terrible way to hike out on a fucked up joint
One of my friends fucked himself at the very beginning of Just Cause. Everywhere he went, he was teetering on a fucked knee.

If you are rich you can buy super tacticool training from a million different places like darkangel and outfits like that. They are good info for tacticool operations but honestly EMS should be considered a trade in a sense that it's hard to apply book learning to the field if you don't get repeated exposure. Good EMS professionals are good because they have the book knowledge and a good sense of things from *repeated exposure*

You were at Operation Just Cause??? Is it true there was heavy metal playing all over the city??

>Does it have something to do with it's action as a blood thinner?
Maybe. I am an oldfag and have been using it for years. Wanna rehydration dump from desertfag?

>You were at Operation Just Cause?
No - just my buddy. They had to evac a third floor roof in a hurry because they got fire from an elevated position. There was a lot of weird shit. Dunno bout heavy metal.

>Wanna rehydration dump from desertfag?
Of course, at the very least I'll learn something new and at the very most you'll be told you are wrong by nine assholes that don't know what they're talking about and one asshole that does.

Right, hence my post here I have no expectation that I will be as qualified as an EMT just from a few classes, but I want to have enough to stabilize a person competently until an EMT/Medic arrives.

Get it custom molded with kydex

1) If you have access to a large quantity of suspect water that you cannot treat then soak in it. Except for some fairly (to North America) rare parasites, you are safer having the water pass through your skin then past your lips. This saves a lot of labor in water treatment.
2) The hanging water bag from Katadyn saves a lot of labor in filtering water, but it takes a long time to work.
3) Save your piss for things like over heated engines.
4) When you are in sustained serious heat (115 and above), make sure there is something in the water to get it to stick - otherwise you lose the water to piss and drive an electrolyte imbalance. Regular table salt helps a lot. A small amount of regular sugar will help also. Type specific electrolytes like Endurolytes are better. Try all of this before you really need it. You need to feel the stress a bit. If you go full tilt boogie without any experience and down four or five gallons of water in a day, then there is a good chance that you will get an electrolyte imbalance. This is better prevented than treated.
5) Dehydration induces edema in the extremities. This is typically not such a big deal regarding the hands, but it can exacerbate maceration in the feet. If you have hand injuries then the edema can cause complications, especially making keeping a wound dry a real chore - because the extra water will leak out of the wound as a semi-clear liquid. Iodine is better for keeping a wound dry in this circumstance than a paste.
6) Once you can get out of the heat and back into civilization, milk is actually a really good recovery food. Avoid it if you cannot get out of the heat because heat combined with milk consumption tends to induce indigestion.
7) Pay attention to your cardiovascular symptomology. As you dehydrate and your blood thickens your tinnitus will tend to exacerbate. Watch for drops in visual acuity next. Once visual acuity starts to go, you have issues - and you need to get hydrated NOW.
1/2

8) My own rehydration blend for max heat exposure is a squirt of lemon or lime, a small amount of grape juice, a small amount of regular table sugar, and a pinch of Himalayan salt. This does not need to be a tasty beverage; you are better served having it be very weak. Besides, you will be drinking gallons of this stuff so you need to keep it cheap. When you are pushing hard and downing lots of water, you will feel a rejection of plain water. It will be hard to drink because your body is trying to reject a chemical that it knows will give you an imbalance. mix your rehydration beverage just thick enough that, when you drink it in the heat, it feels neutral and just flows into you. This takes a little trial and error. I carry the ingredients with me and mix as I go if it is a big trip.
9) Once I already have the sap on me, I take a couple of aspirin and keep drinking. If I am at the point that I feel the need for the aspirin then I try to stall activity. I do not use this as a measure to stay active. I consider this to be treatment for someone that needs recovery.
