Yea if you're 13. A lot of people here probably grew up playing with pellet guns, nothing wrong with it, still fun to shoot in your backyard at cans if you don't have land to shoot on. But they aren't really Jow Forums approved if you're over 18.

I’d say that if the real thing is unattainable for any reason, airguns should be plenty Jow Forums enough. If you hit someone right and follow up with something else like a baton they could possibly be ok for self defense if that’s all you’ve got. Idk though since I’ve never been in that situation.

Thats's more or less just a toy.
That being said, something like a 12 fpe (16J) .177 or .22 is a superior choice for pest control, because it can be safely used indoors.
A .22 air rifle will drop a rabbit at 50 yards. Bit trickier with a .177, but get something like H&N baracuda hunter extreme pellets, and you can easily bust rabbit skulls, even with a .177 springer.

Airgun rifles are fine, they have their uses. Most of us grew up with them. AirSOFT is not Jow Forums approved. Not because they're inherently terrible, but because the people that own them and larp with them are just the biggest batch of liquid shit and cancer and we try to keep them off the board. Get a buddy and carry out simulation events with airsoft pistols or rifles. For example, have one act as a home invader or mugger and practice eliminating the threat. Airsoft drills have taught me a lot about self-defence, cover and accurately shooting at a moving target,
