Whats the best way for a foreigner to join the US Military?

Get a work visa then hopefully a green card for enlistment?

Or just hope that MAVNI reopens again?

Attached: 1552021327273.jpg (480x588, 93K)

Obviously its fake you autistic clown, its called a joke.

>Or just hope that MAVNI reopens again?
and what critical skill can you offer that they need? Language? Tech? Medical?

Went on a 10 mile / 50 lbs ruck march last weekend. What I noticed was that all the "runners" of the unit excelled meanwhile the "weightlifters/bodybuilders" were getting their asses kicked. Me in particular more of a weightlifter than runner and I could move my legs but my upper back and shoulders were killing me, especially around the traps (which I think are over developed). I'm a pretty strong dude, not natural, so that was a shock.

What exercises can I do to improve my rucking endurance? Maybe something I can do in the gym?

Of course improving my cardio endurance is the primary course of action I will take. I also plan to do an 8-12 mile ruck march every weekend starting next week.

Youre lying, youre that faggot from the other thread. If youre not natty not only would you be blowing people away but youd be smart enough to figure this shit out on your own. Busted loser.

What kind of people join the Air Force?
I consider myself to be a smart and clean person and I want to get good career education while being treated like a responsible person, since I see myself as one. I don't really see myself as a bullet catcher or anything like that because I don't believe that'd be using the best of my abilities for my country. I think I'd fit in really well in those highly advanced roles like those cyber intelligence guys.
How hard is making it through cyber intelligence in the Air Force? Is it basically like JCAC? What should I learn beforehand? I sort of doubt myself and am worried that if I fail one of these smart guy tech schools I'll get sent to Security Forces and ride out my enlistment doing that.
Since intel seems like a pretty smart field and since Air Force job selection is a bit tough, is there anything you should really know before signing up for something like SIGINT or GEOINT?

Attached: Missing a QTE.gif (400x256, 1.45M)

>guaranteeing cyber intel in the air force
not an airmen but when i went through i did do jcac and most airmen in that were 2nd term enlisted or just about. some junior airmen were there but not a lot
if you want to do cyber real bad do navy ctn or army 17c.
all kinds of folks join all branches.
>sigint or geoint
plenty of dumb guys end up in intel, the initial bar is low and all the schools aren't that hard.
eg CTR/35S is not a difficult school and are sigint
it's actually hard to fail most entry-level military schools. JCAC is one you can fail but unless you absolutely suck from the very beginning they will try very hard to work with you, it's difficult to outright fail.
dw about failing basic schools if you're even somewhat academically competent, these are all entry level things.

Hmm, I was told here that one of the cyber AFSC's was always needing guys. I'm not too set on anything specific in the intelligence community though, I'm more specifically looking for smart work in that career field. Intelligence fascinates me but if I can get a job that will test my aptitude and my intelligence I'd be happy with that.
Are most intelligence jobs in the Air Force pretty good with rewarding work? If I go through with the Air Force with just a job in intelligence I'd be happy enough, as long as it doesn't turn out to be a super shitty job. Does electronic warfare fit into this field too or would that be separate? Those two are the most appealing to me but I also understand that's what everybody is looking for in the Air Force.

Does having a colostomy bag fuck me forever for joining?
I'm Canadian btw

Does the military really just give you the boot if they decide one day that they don't need you anymore?

hell no. If your chain doesnt know what to do with you they put you in a closet to sort different colors of skittles till you finish your contract or off yourself

hey like i said im no airman. look up the afsc's, find the jcac one and see if it's entry level.
talk to a recruiter too, it never hurts. just don't buy everything they say and sign papers without being sure it's everything you walked into the office for.
>Intelligence fascinates me but if I can get a job that will test my aptitude and my intelligence I'd be happy with that.
you have no clue if you'll actually like it and intel is a pretty broad field with lots of different opportunities. generally you'll be behind a desk analyzing a bunch of data or making powerpoints. there are opportunities for field work but that's highly dependent on branch, unit, and job. You may be a siginter but you can end up doing completely different jobs depending on the unit. Completely different as in an outsider wouldn't assume it's the same MOS.
>Are most intelligence jobs in the Air Force pretty good with rewarding work?
that's more of a culture thing. can't speak for the work and how rewarding it may be, but the usaf is pretty chill and more corporate. very different type of bullshit than literally everyone else. you'd probably be comfy enough as far as quality of life at work and home.
intel is a relatively small field overall and the jobs vary like i said earlier, so you end up doing joint work inevitably if you're around for any time at all. so uh... yeah it boils down to more branch culture as intel across the DoD has formalized reporting and SoPs in the end.
shops vary wildly and so do units, i know it doesn't help.

i did cyber and it was rewarding work but i was lucky to be in a shop that had good leadership and got shit done. some of my peers barely did anything except training for 4+ years, but training also looks good if you get out or stay in so that's not a bad thing. just boring.

Language (Tagalog)

I know that there's an abundance of Filipinos there, but I want tocknow if there's a shot a can take.

I'm getting an age waiver to join Army NG in the coming weeks. How fucked am I?

not at all
be happy you have supportive parents

Should I enlist if the main reason is I don't have a sense of purpose in my current civillian job?

Attached: 1552275827708.jpg (858x821, 359K)

you're an adult, do whatever.
pick a job you think you'll actually get fulfillment out of, hopefully with or without the military so you're not stuck reenlisting just for a job.

Damn imagine being this buttmad at someone asking for advice. I don't know what faggot you're talking about I haven't been in /meg/ for at least a year. Ignore the comment about not being natural for a second and answer my question or else move on with your life.

i can literally offer no help
but the US mil has no shortage of flips that im aware of

im not aware of all of the possible avenues and the only foreigners i worked with were all africans.

Want to take an ASVAB from 70 to a 99. I will give myself a few weeks to study while I get into the process of enlisting. Is there any specific study guide other than just reading the guide, practicing at least an hour a day and taking practice tests?

is there a way to cheat on the asvab?

>to 99
y tho

Attached: 1523860129773.jpg (782x788, 79K)

Because you can't really be picky with Air Force jobs and I'd prefer to have relatively every job available to me that way I have a bit of bargaining space and options in regards to getting a good job within the Air Force.

you get in the 90s and virtually every job opens up in the entire military.
don't flip out if you don't get a 99, just go through asvab for dummies.
identify your weakpoints and work on them. you can work on your weakpoints without specifically using the asvab for dummies or any other similar book. the math is simple and khanacademy can get you well beyond asvab reqs.
the shape stuff is a bit more abstract but you could go get a vaccine and play with legos for a bit to improve your grasp on mental imaging.

tl;dr ID your weaknesses and just work on 'em
a recruiter's office may have a resident nerd waiting to ship they can make help you out.

Ma??? How'd you find Jow Forums ?

Srsly tho. Would it be pointless not to go OCS? I'm too old for E4 related shit.

if you're able to go to ocs and you enlist, you're kind of a retard.
just about every enlisted from e1 to e9 will tell you this.

The easiest way to cheat is to buy a book like asvab for dummies BEFORE the test. The you read and memorize the contents. That way you go into the test with all the knowledge secretly in your brain.

give me your recruiter's info because this is a direct violation of the testing procedures
cheaters have no place in the military

Attached: berb.png (297x301, 18K)

Are people funning with me when they say SERE schools gonna get me pegged by a Lesbo with a rubber pizzle? DoD contracts out the enhanced interrogation to BDSM sex workers apparently which honestly scares the shit outta me more than getting shot at. Fuck if I need electrodes and gags and silly leather costumes. How's that part of serving your country?

It's certainly not every SERE exercise where sexual humiliation gets super weird but the instructors do these exercises all day long and naturally vary what if anything gets emphasized. SERE is supposed to be a generalist introduction to the concepts but there's alot more to being the best prisoner for your country and sometimes the Pentagon likes to try new training techniques. New recruits are great guinea pigs.

Any advice on passing the PAST for the air force? The swimming parts are kicking my ass right now.

Going to SF selection in a week, curious if there's something I might not know . I need your energy Bros

Attached: 2.webm (1920x816, 1.91M)

It take you all 5 braincells to figure that out?

More muscle endurance exercises. Shit ton of pullups and pushups, etc. Stuff like rucking is about endurance, not being able to lift really heavy weights a couple of times. Or just switch you're weight lifting to lighter weight and more reps. Make sure you're still smoking yourself just as hard though. Lot of people make the mistake of taking off too much weight and not doing enough reps. You should be just as fatigued after one high rep set as a high weight set.

Medical is your only shot. They wouldnt even let you get in on the mavni because tagalog isnt critical.

Also, why dont you do what every flip does and marry for citizenship?

I assume youre old as fuck(30s)? If ocs isnt an option, then its all about job choice. Also, youre going NG, you only have to see these people once a month, and will never experience military bullshit. So i wouldnt worry about it.

Learn knots, learn land nav, learn how to properly pack a ruck. If you had a month, i would have more for you, but at least become proficient in those 3 things. Osut/bct landnav is a joke and wont teach you shit to prepare for selections.

Army probably won't help you much with sense of purpose, unless you turn out to be a good NCO. But go for it, most people join the military just because they need a job.

This man must have an IQ over 200

Currently, 18 as of now and want to do Special Forces, can't get an 18x contract due to age. Should I wait 2 years or join under an 18x contract or enter as an E4 68W(ACASP) and op 40 and apply when the time comes?

Attached: dy4b3pu3stb21.jpg (1241x927, 114K)

Yeah, but I feel like I'm putting my life on hold. I kind of want to have a family sometime, a relationship or something, and I'm definitely not going to do so while in the military.
> You can do/see more for much cheaper if you're living there.
I think I'd just squander being in Japan anyways - I don't even go outside as it is.

you'll wash out of rasp

The second, but whether you should pursue option 40 depends on how physically fit you are right now. You can go to SFAS after already being in.

I aksed yesterday but no one answered. i'm just looking for some tips. I'm a specialist in the national guard and i'm reclassing as a 92A logistical specialist in Smyrna Tennessee.
has anyone here gone through classes for 92A? what am I in for? I just took the opportunity to get a secondary MOS because i'm between jobs ATM.

Attached: SS helmet cat.jpg (587x435, 68K)

I got back 3 weeks ago. I'd say study up on your land nav and get some practice if you can.

Other than that just give 100% all the time and do the right thing even when you think no one is watching. Youd be surprised when they are.

Also, if you're not good at math study up real quick. We lost a few guys to the tests.

Waiting to take my asvab now, wish me luck.

it's piss easy. i'm a retarded faggot and got 98

What kinda math do they have, should I study college level shit? How does it compare to ASVAB Math?

That's what I'm hoping for. The test admins are 30 mins late already.

>I got back 3 weeks ago
You failed? Story?

wtf does intel do day to day?

Fortunately that was not the case. Selected.

It's more or less asvab or act type math. It was just something not many people prepared for since it isnt talked about a lot.

Isn't that a federal crime?

Tbh I live a decent life here in the Philippines. I just wanted the experience of serving in a good military.

Attached: 1530076518463.png (235x237, 76K)

First time I've seen a SF LARPer in here
Impressive user, the fake Rangers were getting old

I have a friend who quit law and dropped a WOFT packet, he qualified and will be shipping out in 3 months. It's kind of getting to me that it's always something I wanted to do but can't (he's a citizen, I don't even have a green card).

Attached: 1553169619005.jpg (1124x1063, 172K)

>don't even have a green card
Are you illegal or on a student visa or what exactly?

Oh shit. You should go to Game Galaxy in “downtown” Smyrna (very small town). Hands down the best and most expansive collection of classic arcade cabinets and pinball machines in the mid south!

Is 24 too old to go in as Enlisted and at somepoint become an officer if I pursue a degree with the GI Bill? I have no degree but I went to school for a bit to very mixed to poor results. Is there anyway I can turn it around? The recruiters I'm working with are telling me I can but I don't know if that's because they just want me to sign on or not.

Anyone know anything about Signal in the Army?
>what do you do?
>whats the best/worst/ok jobs in there?
>whats the ratio between whites/niggers,males/females?

Any info helps

Attached: 1553409440179.jpg (1134x1203, 61K)

Most Intel and Signal stuff in my experience as an outsider will be dominated by White Weeb kids. I know a secret Trap who works Signals down South and that's the only source I have on the topic. He's a good guy and says he really likes the job and it's pretty comfy.

If you arent lying, were you 18x? How was presfpc and sfpc? You on hold until Q?

Is signal mostly bitch work,do stupid unnecessary shit like infantry?
Also what about signal guys who wanna deploy and be in combat? that possible ?

24 is not to old to go in as enlisted man, I know a 32 year old E-3 and went to basic and ait with other dudes in the age range. I can only speak for the army though.

Neither I'm in our home country. He flew abroad and is living there waiting for BCT.

Just get gay married, get your citizenship and then divorce him after you enlist

Yeah I know I can go enlisted but I'd like to pursue being an Officer and make it a career down the road. Wondered if that's resonable at my age. It is Army that I'm pursuing.

Anons, I want to be an Airborne Ranger in the sky

Attached: mailtime.jpg (989x1200, 113K)

Hope you're hyped about shift work and getting your circadian rhythm buttfucked.
Just as well, be prepared for High-Octane autism. Not everybody, but there are literal potatoes who got in because they tested well and lack the sense to be decent at a "push button, get banana" job. Although, the communal suffering provides for some pretty good camaraderie, and the fact that you lurk and post here means you'll probably fit right in.

t. Contractor

I tested absolute shit
>32 asvab
>High 90's line scores
>89 GT
I am not proud at all with my scores, infact I completely slacked through the test, zoned out, didnt pay much attention, didnt even study, just nothing.
Wanted to get the test over with but apparently the MOS I picked is good considering my scores (25U)
If anyone knows what the fuck 25U does, please let me know!

I thought you had to score at least 50 to choose your MOS for the Army?
Either way congrats, don't worry about your score as only douchebags actually talk about their ASVAB score outside of their recruiter's office.

Thanks for the insight.

So, the recruiter tells me that I can enlist and take an MOS, go thru BCT/AIT and then go for OCS. That way, if OCS "doesn't work out" (verbatim) then I have an MOS to fall back on as opposed to dropping out of OCS and essentially having to reenlist. Seems like a waste of time to me. Thoughts?

>old as fuck
By enlistment standards, sure. But I'll be able to breeze thru the fitness requirements for the Army's oldest boots. I probably look a bit younger than my actual age but I'm prepared to take shit for it regardless.

>only have to see these ppl once a month
yea, I suppose that the whole draw of NG. Mil bennies w/o the full mil commitment. I could see myself volunteering for deployment though.

Also, I'm more interested in combat related duties. I already have a half decent career track so not really joining for the purpose of job training. What are my prospects towards that end?

Dude,I dont even know how it really goes. All I know, the Army favors the high ASVAB douchebags.
But anyway, when I went back to the office,25U was available for me and recruiters told me its a very good job,I do some tech stuff and be out with line units (which is what I wanted more compared to the desk tech shit)

I am still skeptical as I keep thinking its a shit job and ill be doing bitch work, there really isnt much about 25U I can find.

Also I am pretty embarrassed of my ASVAB score,I legit feel fucking stupid when I ask others just to see how they did,and majority of them say 80's and higher.
But it is what it is.

I don't know anything about the specifics of Army jobs, I do know that most recruiters will tell you that every job is the raddest thing ever and that you'll "basically be [insert cool job here] but [better/without the bullshit]" I would take this evening/tonight and do some serious heavy research, go deep and dig down into some old-ass forums to find out more about this MOS.
If you're really that embarrassed about the ASVAB and concerned with how it might affect your career, then take it again. If you are being honest and just blazed through it to get it over with, then you should have no problem scoring in the 80's like your peers. I'm a fucking idiot and got 92, if you read above there's a "retarded faggot" that got 98, it isn't a hard test. Buy an ASVAB for Dummies book if you have to.

what does cavalry do nowadays? based on what I've read it's mostly sitting around in Armoured vehicles conducting reconnaissance?
Is this true?

Attached: 1550874693834.jpg (1080x2220, 672K)

It depends on what job you have, some jobs afford you much less time to take classes and whatnot. Just understand that nothing is guaranteed, there are a billion factors that go into the enlisted-to-officer route.

sounds based. thanks for the heads up. anywhere else I should go check out while in Tennessee? I'm not from there

Anyone know the Ranger meme page on IG that OPs pic was on
It had a lot of funny military shit on it

>32 asvab
>89 GT
jesus christ how the fuck do you even know how to read?

>>only have to see these ppl once a month
im national guard and getting deployed for a year.

I dont even know dude.
I am retaking the asvab while Im in,hoping I score higher GT so I can also try out for RASP.
I read some old forums about my job,its not bad.....thats the best I can describe, also heard about the boring and shit S6 shop.Anyway to avoid that and be with combat units?

>The swimming parts are kicking my ass right now.
which part

Which military branch has the least amount of shitskins?

coast guard

they all disappear if you kill yourself

Coast Guard is 80% white, USAF is 72%, all others are 50-65%. Have fun saving tourists and dumb rich dudes

You'll literally do nothing except inventory radios every couple months. Most of the people in your company probably won't even know your name.

resetera

Unless they changed since I was in (2013) you would go to basic with the MOS of 09L and after BCT you'd go straight to OCS. You'd only go to an AIT if you failed OCS, which I imagine is very unlikely. That said, they'd probably make you something gay like 88M, that's usually what they send AIT failures to.

What about everyday?

USAF it is I guess

Ask a marine scout/sniper who deployed to iraq and afghanistan anything.

Attached: THE BLADE.jpg (1032x774, 208K)

Boys im wondering...is RASP really that hard?or is it because the people who DOR or washed out were unprepared and didnt take it too serious?
I keep hearing alot about dudes saying "you wont make it" yet, skinny fucking KIDS (early 20's even younger) make it.
Is it just something every guy says to scare you or to make them selves feel better because they didnt pass or is it really a gut check.

Attached: 31673259_179320606225250_3389353457155571712_n.jpg (1080x1270, 110K)

I'm so I've never been to RASP, but I have friends in the battallions and any tryout for a "special": group is almost all mental. yes being in excellent shape will make some things easier and better your chances of being selected in a competitive class, but I've seen PT studs quit, and people who weren't in great shape but were unbreakable make it into very high places. Also keep in mind that the optimal body shape for an infantryman is not a big dude, its a skinny guy that has enough muscle to carry a ruck for miles and miles and miles.

hmmm, always figured a beef cake would fly through training like nothing.Im a very light dude,I can drag my own weight fine and I dont quit as easy.
How was the marines like for you? what MOS are you?

Here in Mexico For any sort of paperwork I need to complete a sort of military conscription, and I thought that since I’m already getting into military stuff I should join the marines after that, is that a bad idea?
I just want to be able to own funz:(

Attached: 70AD2A1B-3CAA-481B-97EF-F9ACD5FA81C3.jpg (720x1280, 186K)

Yes it's hard lol, first of all being skinny works to your advantage when you're doing rucks and a lot of running. Second of all, there's really not a good way to prepare for being starved, lost in the woods, and having the shit beaten out of you for a few weeks. You can also get dropped for something as stupid as having a singular piece of trash (ex. an empty water bottle) in your locker

Don't get me wrong, muscle can help a lot once you're actually in your unit, but almost everything in training and selection you are better off lean and mean. If you're not a pussy, can land nav, and can ruck well, you'll make it. The marines had its ups and downs. Least amount of pussies, but an endless amount of bullshit, especially now with the political correctness seeping in. Best deployments short of SOF in the time I was in though. I started as an 0331 but passed my battalions sniper platoon selection pretty much right after hitting the fleet.

awesome, enjoy getting discharged when your racism pops up
