Russia has cancelled production of the "Borei" SSBN

OH NO NO NO
tass.ru/armiya-i-opk/6344752

First the SU-57, then Armata, now this? When will vatniks learn they can't have a modern military?

They can have a modern military.
Or they can have a large military.
But they cannot have both with that budget.

>Borei cancelled
If this plays out, that's a serious problem for Russia. As of now, most of their SSBN fleet consists of the old Delta class boats.

Pretty much this. Russians really don't understand how an economy works but to be fair, only a handful of countries do.

Lies and slander

Excuse you fatnik but russia likely stopped producing it because It's too op for mutts
-Armatard

probably just cancelled because they have an even better submarine coming instead

Remember to report armatard posts and behead those who insult F-35

Such as? I know they’re still producing Yasen-class SSNs, but that’s about it.

This, they are merely pretending to be out of money.

based and lockheebpilled

Yeah and in 10 years, they'll cancel those too.

Actually I'd imagine having your submarine engineers design actual prototypes is good for maintaining research and development capability

What’s interesting is that this might push them deeper down the line of what I’m going to call “asymmetric deterrence” - with perhaps some of the savings tapped for more of those UUV torpedos with the nuclear warhead. By relying on aging Deltas, they may well decide that that favours the west in the balance of arms and double down on that fucking thing, which by virtue of its concept can’t really be a counterforce weapon but a city-busting “fuck you” weapon.

It's over, Russia is kill.

That's a good point, though my understanding is that most of Russia's strategic deterrent is land-based. I don't think they place as much importance on SSBNs as the US does.

you fucking asss this is not cancelled they Borei was are prototyping for the next submarine

>They Borei was are
Honestly can't tell if trolling or an actual Russian-speaking Vatnik. Good job.

>What’s interesting is that this might push them deeper down the line of what I’m going to call “asymmetric deterrence”
Yeah, yeah, we've all read your book, Vipin.

>UUV torpedos with the nuclear warhead.
This is an retarded concept, such a drone is put in irrelevance by the mere existence of ICBM.

fucking asss shit wester

It says no new commisions of 955-A, if im translating correctly this snippet doesnt say anything about cancellation of either project or currently build/commisoned-to-be-build subs. Correct me if im wrong.

Btw, they previosly (2-3 months ago?) said that borei is last boomer of old type/philosophy of subs. New submarines are to be one modular family basing on identical main systems with different weapons modules and hull lengths. This is supposed to shorten re-training time when moving crews from one type to another and in generall reduce costs of whole sub fleet (common logistics, etc.).

>cancelled production
Will not lay any more down*
google translate is your friend user, c'mon.

Yeah, they're not building the other ones they had planned and are sticking to a measly 4 boats.

April 17, 2019, the Malachite St. Petersburg Maritime Bureau of Mechanical Engineering began development work (ROC) under the code Laika to create a fifth-generation multipurpose nuclear submarine.

Attached: PutIn.jpg (1024x712, 322K)

The ones they are currently building will be finished, iirc they had 2 more planned to be laid maybe next year and i guess they will be canceled now.

Why cant fucking russian politicans stop destomroying their country? Its literally dying because of the rampant corruption and most of eastern europe is heading that way too. Fucking depressing

I'm sure they'll come out with a very nice looking plastic model in a few years.

so you mean 2nd hand Type 094 Jin-class subs they will buy off China in 10 years

The 5 stages of Russian wunderwaffe:

Stage 1: The "Leak". NEW INVINCIBLE SUPERWEAPON """leaked""" to press

Stage 2: The Reaction. Media & Jow Forums all hail the weapon as an invincible doomsday device that the West stands no chance against. Lots of "sky is falling" and declarations of Russian resurgence.

Stage 3: The Interim. Stories start to leak out regarding issues and slowed development. Doesn't get much notice.

Stage 4: The Downgrade. Russia quietly states less will be built than previously announced, or that the device will have less capabilities than previously thought.

Stage 5: The Cancellation. Russia quietly cancels the device. Stage 1 for new device few months later.

Attached: strong.jpg (531x640, 61K)

>He made it clear that in the future submarines of more advanced projects will be laid. “Everything will go according to plan,” the head of the bureau concluded.

OH NO NO NO! Jow Forums on suicide watch.

Russia already completed 4 and currrently building 4. So i think they just want 8 Borei and wants a new design.

Yes, apparently the last two that were originally planned for 2024 are cancelled, that's about it. They will still finish 4 of them, so plenty of time to develop a new project.

8 is more than enough to entirely destroy the USA's main infrastructure and cause a total collapse.

They planned on building 14 of them, they're only getting half of that.

How many Delta IV is still in service? I don't think russia is satisfied with only 8 boomer.

tass.com/defense/1054096

They originally want to replace all 6 of their Delta IV, but budget constraint and all that so they just build 8 and rehaul their 6 Delta IV to extend their service. Still, 14 ballistic sub is not that bad.

The source gave no technical parameters of the submarine being developed but noted that "Tsirkon hypersonic missiles will be among its strike weapons." The source added that the Laika "will feature a modular configuration and a single integrated combat control system with artificial intelligence."

Russia’s United Shipbuilding Corporation declined to comment to TASS on the information about the start of the R&D work on the fifth-generation submarine.
In June 2018, the Malakhit Marine Engineering Bureau said in its annual report that the R&D work on the promising fifth-generation multipurpose nuclear-powered submarine was due to begin in 2019. The document noted that this work was stipulated in the draft state armament program for 2018-2027 but the work’s codename was not given.
Work on fifth-generation submarines
It has been reported on many occasions that Russia is working on the conceptual design of a new-generation submarine. In particular, United Shipbuilding Corporation Chief Alexei Rakhmanov said in May 2018 that specialists had proposed several versions of the submarine’s conceptual design, of which the optical option would be chosen. He said at the time that the new submarine would be named Husky.
Russia is currently building a series of fourth-generation multipurpose submarines, namely, Yasen-class subs and Borei strategic underwater missile cruisers.

All 7 are in service, they were being overhauled but all are back.

Do they really want to replace both 855 and 955 with this Laika? It means that all the money will pour into Malakhit bureau. I don't think Rubin bureau will like that and russia always maintain atleast 2 competing bureau.

Russian army is the strongest army in the world, with a budget of 12 times less than in NATO. NATO needs to learn how to reduce the level of corruption.

*overhaul

They're for MAD. They don't crusade or practice imperialism like the USA so buying them to launch cruise missiles is a waste of money.

They're investing in drone subs now anyway. Fuck your shit.

>strategic underwater missile cruisers
Why can't we name our subs like that?

Thats just sad
Thats what they get for pussying out and not fighting a civil war to retain Kazahkstan, the Baltics, Ukraine and Belarus and to cleanse the Caucuses of its Muslims rat inhabitants.

With the same territory and resources of the USSR, they may very well have been able to finance a full recovery and rebuilding of their nation. Blame Yeltsin for treason and Putin for cowardice.

They need something right fucking now.

1) Arms and hot war this is the worst ways to wage war

2) I wish that such "good thing" as civil war would come to your country, pidor.

Attached: D25x8SGX4AAHK0P.jpg (1024x631, 109K)

The Russian army only gets by because of leftovers from the Cold War, without those, it'd have a mechanized army smaller than France

>2) I wish that such "good thing" as civil war would come to your country, pidor.
Stupid fucking vatnik. We had our secession crisis, and burned Georgia to the ground over it. You had your succession crisis and wimply gave up, and wimply let your so called leaders let it happen and even help it along. Instead of murdering them and bringing the territories back in line.

Should have bought Indian subs

"We" who is this? Black, white, Latin, maybe a state or a separate city? Keep up and "we" will be a gang that fights for control of your neighborhood.

Retarded bitch nigger vatnik detected

He's talking way the fuck back in America's civil war. I was wondering as well until I figured out he was talking about Sherman burning the state down and not the country. Stupid reference to discuss Russia considering they fought to retain a slice of Gerogia the country making the comparison confusing.

>OH NO NO NO
That shit is annoying.

Those "sanctions" sounded pretty inocuos at first and yet here we are. Those docks in Ukraine they want so bad won't be worth much with nothing to put in them.

Just give every “modular" sub one SLBM tube beside its cruise missile tubes, easy peasy.
> huge dispersed fleet of mega-Kilo class subs, all carrying one nuclear missile each
What could go wrong.

>Russia always maintains two bureaus
Didn't they merge all of the aviation bureaus into UAC?

Because we're boring.

According to your source,4 is active and 4 under construction. The option for 2 more was canceled.

Nigger, they literally invaded their neighbors and are propping up failed states in the Middle East.

Best post I've seen in a long time.

thats sadly pretty accurate

He's still got his escape sub for when Russia realises what he has done to them

Attached: untitled.png (297x170, 94K)

>sanctions
Ain't working. Germans alone poured 7 bilions Euro into Moscow in 2018. More than ever before (2007 excluded)

>cleanse the Caucuses of its Muslims rat inhabitants
That is a totally absurd statement.
Those people have been Muslims for the best part of a millennium. They are also extremely aggressive and proud people. It would be as silly and futile as attempting to win a war in Afghanistan.
Remind me how the past 180 years of war in Afghanistan ended?

Also, let me remind you that this was tried before by Stalin and obviously didn't work.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deportation_of_the_Chechens_and_Ingush

>invaded their neighbors
Getting a late start in smashing rebellious provinces back into order.

>obviously didn't work.
It was working fine until that retard Kruschev reversed it and his gaggle of traitors went with it.

Article says they are stopping production of Borei-A to continue on more modern projects.

What's their replacement for Boreis?

Nevermind Also, looks like they already have 4 Boreis and 4 other still building. That's plenty enough already.

That depends. Are Boreis their equivalent of Ohio's or Virginia's?

Ok, apparently, they are replacing 3 Typhoons and 9 Deltas.

So it was supposed to be 14 but now it is 8. 8 for 11. Huh. Its bad, not good, but not totally catastrophic.

Germany is dismantling their nuclear power program and trying to switch to """green""" energy (bitch nuke is the only carbon free option)

>Solar and wind farms require natural gas plants to supplement them and redpond to grid demand fluctuations
>Up to 80% of grid power from "solar" and "wind" farms are actually produced by on site natural gas plants
>Russia supplies Germany's natural gas

Germany is about to become energy dependent on Russia.

>Germany is about to become energy dependent on Russia.

The three words Russia is terrified of
polish shale gas

If the Rus-Ger infrastructure is already in place you won't see East German indoctrinated Comrade Merkel switching to a more expensive Polish option.

im sure you realised that with a simple google translation they said that they wont lay down more A variants not that they cancelled the entire borei program user...

laika is just the borei with a new propulsion system and few automations thats all

You forgot stage 6.

Stage 6: After the cancellation. Vatniks pretend it was just a prototype and never meant to be produced and fielded.

But there still sukhoi and mig, both get state order, mil and kamov, both get state order. Right now Malakhit get SSBN, Rubin get SSN. From TASS article, they say they're going to replace both with modular sub from Malakhit, but I really doubt that's going to happen because Rubin will basicly got no funding anymore.

They'll just sell the design to China.

Hey, we have one of those "looks solar but gas gens right next to it" near my house. It's fun because if you fly below 2000 feet over it you get thrown around by the thermals.

>Those docks in Ukraine they want so bad won't be worth much with nothing to put in them.
?

Fun fact! There is a Californian group that campaigns for the shutdown of nuclear power stations and replacement with solar/wind stations. Pretty normal cali bullshit right?

Well, this group is run by a guy that mskes millions off of natural gas investment, and every time a new "wind" or "solar" farm goes up the value of LNG investments spikes.
And every state dumb enough to fall for it has a subsequent increase in utilities price, and an order of magnitude spike in carbon emissions.

Fuck California, fuck hippies, and fuck the green movement.

Don't try summoning the "1 missile carrying submarine" autist
