one of the very few things I regret is never trying for a GAFPB. for us it's all events on the same day. ruck, swim, and pistol, and i think some other weird shit like a long jump or something.

we train for the physical fitness and marksmanship all year.
once a year we have a physical fitnes test and we have a Medal called "Schützenschnur" (Marksmans Cord)

I do not understand why you have not taped or stitched it at the buckles to fit as this is taught in the German army, it is sitting far to high up at your throat. I am not sure you are not just some burger larping as the splitter Schultz and koppeltrag are only used in basic training for a long time now and the Bristol was in use when you say you were in are you just some bored American? What did regulars do with the shoulder plate for the rifle stock on the Bristol to make it their own? if you were in the german army you would know this. In my experience former German bundeswehr regulars were good and diligent soldiers
