Yes. Your stomach acid is strong enough that its constantly eating away at your stomach lining. Your body just produces cells fast enough to replenish them. If it were to leak out I'm sure it would do irreparable damage to all of your organs because they weren't meant to deal with acid.

Am I correct in assuming the baggy material covering the torso is not skin? It seems to have decayed badly and discolored like rotten skin but all the other skin on the limbs and skull seems to be gone.
