Comfy but another option is a sig p227 or a jericho

Why does CZ make such an A E S T H E T I C pistol

I wish they'd remake it.

forged CZ best CZ

sig p220 are the best overlooked singlestack 45s. you can get em used fairly cheap. nobody wants em cause if you are getting a single stack 45 you obviously want a 1911. excellent guns.
aluminum frame though.

Attached: 3.gif (292x200, 1.22M)

yea, but CZ has gone with cast steel with all their current line 75's. Do they even have the forge tooling lying about?

I seriously doubt they have any of that old tooling.

This. The P220 is an excellent pistol.

CZ's factory is pretty huge and they seem to source their steel in-house as well. I like to believe they mothballed the tools into a warehouse or some corner of their campus. But then again, floor space is always a very valuable thing for manufacturing.

but wait there is more !

but why?

le epic reddit meme

why what? steel? no 1911? .45?

Why a steel framed 45 that's not a 1911?

not him but the 1911 could be and has been improved upon in some minor ways without losing all the good ergonomics

you just posted it

i don‘t like 1911 all that much. i don‘t like polymerguns either. USP and P320 might be exceptions, but still: steel

What don't you like about a 1911 besides for how it looks?

The w.german P220 has a better trigger than the CZ97, it feels more comfortable in my hands, and it's lighter. They're both big and accurate guns. I love them both but if I could only have one it'd be the 220.

Attached: 20190328_232749.jpg (4160x3120, 3.79M)

Tanfoglio makes a steel 45, pretty sure you can get a Jericho in 45 as well.
There's the SAR K2 also, steel frame p220's, and then there's the Smith and Wesson 645, 745, 845, and 945.
I personally almost bought a 945 but found a Sig p220 10mm for a similar price and got that instead.

the grip safety, the looks of the trigger, non-da/sa... im not suggesting 1911 are bad, they just dont float my boat.

If you want to buy a gun because it looks cool then just spend 5 min on google

yes, maybe i should watch out for a used P220. the only P220 still made in eckernfoerde nowadays is the x-six sporting-model.

CZ97 with 1911 style front bushing mod from CZ Custom or CGW.
You get the Sig220 / Glock style ejection port locking arrangement and the tightly fitted front bushing of a target 1911.
Double stack ten rounds without an extended magazine.
If I was trapped in New Jersey or a similar 10 round state, it is what I would carry.
Grip is just a bit fatter yhan a CZ75.

What was the last year for forged 75's?
Just before the B model?
Pre B is also no firing pin block so shorter reset and takeup.
I need to get a Pre B or 85 C.

Lol. Yeah I guess.

Take your dentures out before you tease me like that grandma.
Mmm

>the only gud p220s are made in jermoney
you really should spend less time on Jow Forums

Isn't the cz97 discontinued? Or at least no longer imported?

CZ CZ discontinued the CZ 97BD, but not the B. CZ US is still listing the BD.

What’s a steel framed .45 that can handle +p and super from the factory or with a spring replacement?

im german, so why wouldnt i buy a german SIG, when i buy one at all?

They make an all stainless version

All of them. Without even changing springs.
+p .45 is nothing

P220 Elite Match. is that one still in production?

it's one thing if you live in germany, it's another to be an american buying into memes about (((them))) and getting an older p220 that has a weaker stamped steel slide

Like all metal CZ's, the supply fluctuates.
97 is limited production and I would prefer an older blued finished one anyhow.
Current production is polycoat with black Aluminum grips.
I like blued and wood grips or some G10 checkered palm swells.
Can be decocker or safety also.
Oak Hill, Kentucky Gun something, and Miami Armory near Dayton Ohio are the places I look first if Moss Pawn local to me can't find one.
Miami Armory hooked me up with my Stainless P-01 before they showed up on Gunbroker and people bid them up beyond $1k.
They were great to deal with but Fbook is the easiest way to get in touch. Sometimes they will post a picture of all the cases with SKU labels facing out. Zoom in and see what they have if you know specifically what you want.
99041 is the carbon steel P-01 for example.
SkU 01416 is the CZ 97Bd decocker
SKU 01411 is the 97 B safety model.

The Aluminum grips are similar to the factory Shadow 2 grips and are kind of slick.
They won't grab clothing if you CC it.
Southern Summers and they are too slick for run and gun fun.
Put LOK grips on 3 of my CZ's.
Grenade red and black here.

I'm with you on blued finish and wood grips, would be my preference too.
I'm not too far from Dayton, 937 area code, and can't say I've heard of Miami Armory, but I'll have to look them up sometime.

10mm 97B when

Man, the original short rail CZs look like such shit compared to the 97.

you shut your whore mouth

I was thinking of the p220 elite stainless, but they seem to be out of stock everywhere, so maybe not anymore.

youtube.com/watch?v=iIK6cFPevmE
They were some test models but if you want one you need a clone or conversion

P220

This is exactly what I thought when I saw he wanted a full size steel .45acp but no 1911s allowed. Snowflake gun.

1911s have significant design flaws that some people simply don't want to deal with.
>oh im on 4chinz let me translate
1911s are shit and you're a nigger faggot

>no mention of the HK USP 45

Mine is from '99 and it does the same thing with the mag. Looks fucking gay.

>Jow Forumsan you recommend a non1911 steel .45 to me Jow Forums?
>steel .45
>steel
Gee I wonder why nobody mentioned a FUCKING PLASTIC FRAME GUN

The difference in strength is negligible and the reduced weight of the stamped slide makes it balance just a bit better. They typically go for cheaper as well.

I have a P220 and CZ 97B
Both have a lot of mods.
P220 is actually stainless framed, It just has a black ionbond finish. It's also been converted to SAO by grayguns.
The CZ with a cajun trigger kit has a godlike trigger pull, but the finish inside and out are dogshit.

The CZ with the trigger is definitely more accurate, but I like the p220 more.

Attached: 20190419_192911.jpg (3637x2956, 1.57M)

CZ 97B for sure. It shits on the SIG 220, especially if cajunized

Attached: sig sauer p220 elite.jpg (1350x900, 426K)

Gay as shit. Where’s your sapphire pimp ring to go with that new produced heap of overpriced shit?

other thoughts
>CZ97b
Finish is dogshit, it feels like you're touching clammy rusty metal all the time, even when it's clearly dry and not rusty.
Carbon and shit gets stuck in every nook and cranny, bitch to clean.
Nobody sells decent grips for it, so I just got meme grips.
I wish it had a decocker function. It has a half-cock positon, which I find very nice.
Takedown lever is a tight fit, hasn't loosened up at all after dozens and dozens of takedowns. I need a nylon mallet every time I want to take it down.
Magazine fit is tight, you have to slap it to make sure it's seated, and they don't drop free easily. I would not consider it for self defense for this reason plus no decocker. The finish on the magazines are bad too, but not as bad as the gun itself.
DPM recoil rod works flawlessly with all ammo I've used.
Low bore axis is real and it really helps with followup shots.
Cajun kit is damn good, but also damn expensive. I did more polishing on my own and added some shims to tighten up the trigger pull.
Loooong trigger reset, even with the cajun parts.

>Sig P220
Early stainless steel frame model that was converted to SAO by the previous owner (I'm owner #2). I had the frame finished in ionbond DLC.
I polished and shimed the internals on top of graguns' work.
Bead-blasted finish was/is excellent.
Surprisingly easy to clean, and very easy takedown.
I hated the front serrations and I covered them with grip tape, way too hard on the hand.
Grip is comfy as fuck, but it's nil grips so that's a given.
Sprinco recoil rod works well with slightly lower than factory springs, but will choke with factory spring weights.
Probably some of the nicest magazines I've ever seen for any gun.
Very good safety, feels natural to engage and disengage.
SAO trigger is not as good as CZ's SA trigger.
Not quite as accurate as the CZ, probably because no barrel bushing and also the trigger, also shorter side radius.

Want some cheese do go with that whine? Pussy.

post your guns

From the outstanding accuracy rep the p220 holds, with reviews showing it to be not uncommon for a stock one to print groups of less than 2 inches at 25 yards, it's considerably more likely that the ergos and the trigger are messing with you rather than a lack of a barrel bushing.

Here in the US, Armorycraft was selling those grips.
What is the name of the manufacturer?
They are patterned after the Sig P210 target grips.
They have them for the CZ97 as well as the 1911.

Karl Nill from Germany

used to make the Sig grips as well until Sig decided to jew out and make their own ones

cz75 is just a hyper upgraded 1911 tho

Stop being a czech pussy. Buy a Mark 23. Or go for 10mm

Technically a hyper upgraded hi power

Would I be a fag to put ivory grips on my CZ 75b?

is the pistol itself engraved or gold plated ?
