I put money down today on a russian SKS, but it's a polymer/metal frame with a thumbhole stock as opposed to a regular wooden one. Total cost was a little over $500, did I overpay Jow Forums? Pic related is basically what mine looks like.

I got an SKS-M, all matching numbers with a picatinny rail on the dust cover, a cheap good scope, and 2 AK mags. Paid $800 for it on GB. I plan on putting it in an ATI Strikeforce chassis soon because I need a side folding stock and rails for a flashlight as it's gonna be my go to long arm. Did I do well for $800 for everything?

i had the same bayo droop issue with mine herei tried filling the bayo to lug interface piece (i dont know what its called off the top of my head, the metal part with the barrel ring) but it didnt help. i ended up just buying a new piece and it fits perfect now.

I prefer my SKS to my Draco because it's feels so much smoother to shoot while at the same time takes longer to prepare. It means I enjoy shooting more while at the same time shoot less ammo.
It's extremely helpful when I have multiple friends who like to just blast as fast as they can through ammo they didn't pay for.
