Except you can tell them to fuck off because for bullshit reasons (I have to work, I gotta leave, etc) and telling them to come back later or to make an appointment with you. Besides, you can have your guns around in your own house. You can even mow your lawn with a holstered pistol if you want, as long as you do it on your property. The only thing the Feds are checking is that all your guns are accounted for and that you stash ammo and guns separately.
