I know nightvision doesn't work in complete darkness. But do Infrared Illuminators? thus allowing nightvision to be used in a complete darkness scenario?

No. being an operator is 90% looking cool and 10% skill

kinda

It depends; generally, yes - the illuminator can help greatly. Performance depends on the combination of equipment selection and conditions.

Qore Iceplate - gamechanging innovation or newfangled faggotry?

I wouldn't say that it's gamechanging but it's a neat idea and concept
Don't have any experience with it but it looks solid

Does anyone make BDU style (no kneepads) pants in different camo patterns? I don't care if they're chink airsoft pants, as long as they're not high waist like the tru spec operaturrrr pants are, and they come in something other than regular multicam. I need some MC tropic for practical use, but it would be nice to get some in arid, black, and whatever other gucci patterns as well. I just like wearing them around the house because they're comfy and I cut them off for shorts when they start fading heavily.

what are crye fields

Hey guys! I have a camo question:

I'm building my kit for real for the first time, and I'm trying to figure out what camo I should aim for. I live in the Northeast U.S. and I'm looking for a good all-around camo for all 4 seasons, or at least something that will work well for most of the year. For clothes I am currently thinking about Multicam, Ranger Green, Woodland, MARPAT, and Slocam (UF Pro stuff, pic related). Any other suggestions are welcome. Also looking for recommendations for colors of plate carriers where camo patterns are unavailable. I'm currently leaning towards Ranger Green for that. Any input appreciated. Thanks!

You could run an M81 Top and bottom with a Spiritus Systems M81 Rig, or a Ranger Green Rig.

What jacket is this user?

Getting good uniforms in woodland and marpat is not easy. Also UFPRO has too many zips and looks like shit.

not gonna lie, i just blew a pretty fat wad to that uniform.

Got this at a garage sale for $5

Is apparently "Ground Troops Variable Body Armor"

Is dated 1970, does anybody know anything about it and what it is worth

They are worth a few dollars. You got a good deal. One of my buddies modded the original vest to an "X" pattern on the rear so he could forego the rear plate as a doorgunner. He lined the edge with two inch webbing because the plates are fuck heavy and the bottom edge of the vest would abrade on contact with anything. I see the vests on eFag once in a while. A complete set might be worth assembling for resale. Thanks for the memories.
