ANTI DRONE RIFLE

How does this work?
Also, anyone know of some other anti-drone weapons?

>How does this work?

This jams any communications to/from the drone by spamming radio waves at the same frequency the drones uses to communicate.

>Also, anyone know of some other anti-drone weapons?

Shotguns, net guns, MANPADS, hawks

It's just a jammer in the shape of a rifle so that retarded people who don't know anything will go "WOW COOL"

Pic related is what real big boy jammers look like.

>DJI drones can reveal where the operator is
>Previous flight plan
>The whole setup is made by the manufacturer
Why do people buy this compromised chinkshit?

Because nobody uses DJI drones for anything except taking pictures of stuff

Sounds great until you just program an autonomous routine to accomplish your desired task. Something simple like "Fly to co-ordinate 1, hover/do circles, return to coordinate 2" would be enough to force them to use a hard kill method at (presumably) much greater expense.

Well you might be tickled to know that the jammers they deployed at Gatwick were unsuccessful in taking down the drone. But that's mostly because there was never any drone to begin with and the entire thing was a massive fuckup by coked out London police who have now almost entirely covered it up.

hmmm... I think it fires some kind of a projectile.

TBF it's a jammer that jams in a specific direction.
GPS.

No, those are just different antennae for different frequencies.

> Also, anyone know of some other anti-drone weapons?
Yea. A duckshot.

the numbers written on those butt plugs with what a shaft that seems to go onto the end of somehting, what could it mean? hmmmmm......
No it doesn't "fire some kind of a projectile" you fucking retard, shove it up your ass and ND some radio waves into your bird brain.

Sort of .

>buy EDF turbine(s)
>obtain beginner RC plane
>fit EDF(s) to plane
>buy raspberry pi, fit it on and use existing programs to create autopilot script

And there goes your millions of dollars invested. Not particularly hard to do and can easily make homemade turbines

This would work with recon drones. I guess that they will jamm gps signal, too, so flying with an autopilot will be harder.

>no 433mhz

>Let's just jam the GPS frequencies!
>At an airport!
Howbout you think for three seconds before posting next time.

Inertial nav is simple and plenty accurate, a prospective attacker would only need to precisely know their starting position with GPS at the instant of launch.

Nice

They are labeled with their frequency. They are different antennas

>let me fire up my trusty ole spark gap generator

Based and volumeoffire-pilled.

they are dildos you stick inside your ass because you are stupid

Grab a mossman 500 and some birdshot

All that tacticool shit on the front...
I guess if you had to shoot one out of the sky at night it would be quite practical.
Can you imagine being in a nighttime HD situation against a drone? Do you know what they sound like in person? It's like a 5 pound hornet.

Counter-countermeasure technology exists with electronic warfare. Drones loaded with explosives might be designed to lock on to a radio signal that attempts to jam it and thus kill the operator. Using rubber ammunition or magnesium dragon's breath is probably the safest and most reliable way to take down a quadcopter.

The jam guns you see just seem like a way to avoid a lawsuit for "destruction of property" desu

Looks like the rifle in half life 2

They dont have to shoot you down they can find who you are and where you are all thanks to DJI themselves

the best option wiuld be to triangulate the transmitter signal and lock up the pilot

...

It's actually a real thing.

Why not just jam the signal?

Attached: signal jammer.jpg (225x225, 11K)

You can't stop the signal, Mal.

>How does this work
Very illegal.

Lasers. Seriously. Their are functional test beds right now mounted on trucks or apcs that can fry hobby sized drones like a bugzapper

>source
Nope.

>youtube.com/watch?v=djsMufjDt0Q
that was great. wish there was a translation

This is stupid, you could just use a different frequency.
Rig up an old microwave and a custom horn so you can fry that motherfucker permanently.
HERF guns are cool.

Please elaborate
Directional, you illiterate faggot

Assuming the quad copter is registered or otherwise tied to your name, sure.
I'm sure all the criminals are planning to do exactly that.
